Season 1/E 7 An Oasis in the Dessert
Day Trip to Amistad “National Recreation Area in Texas”. We took a day trip to the park and was in awe of all the beautiful colors of the water and surrounding land. What a wonderful day trip to make with your family. The park has picnic tables, you can go swimming, or take a hike a long one of their many hiking trails. Lots of boating, fishing, tent camping and RV camping (no hook ups). We were so tempted to go and buy an inflatable boat and cruise down the lake. Amistad Dam is near by with half of the Dam on United States soil and the other half on Mexico soil. This was truly a nice peaceful day in Texas.
