‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣ THIS EPISODE ‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣
Last week, we shared that we snagged a 7 day reservation at North Campground inside Bryce Canyon National Park. We have never stayed in a National Park campground for that long in the 5 years we have been on the road, so we were psyched!
This week, we wanted to share with you what you can do in Bryce from sunrise (with donuts, of course!) to sunset. Bryce is such a cool National Park, because it has something to offer everyone. There are hikes of all ability levels throughout the park, handicap accessible lookout points to see the canyon, horseback riding, a bike path that goes the full length of the park and all the way out to Red Canyon, 2 campgrounds, a camp store, lodges, cabins and a great visitor center.
Though Inspiration Point is our favorite for sunrise, we wanted to try a new spot on this visit. We hiked the whole rim trail the night before from our campsite and found a great place with some amazing foliage. This visit was in mid-October, so it was one of our coldest donuts and sunrises to date!
We headed out after to hike Queen’s Garden Trail to Navajo Loop Trail. Every hike in Bryce is stunning with the orange hoodoos and the various tunnels and caves. Even if you don’t venture too far down into the canyon, head down below the rim. It is a whole different experience!
Someone recommended another quick hike to us, so we jumped in the truck and headed to Mossy Cave Trail which was such a fun little hike with some water flowing through the desert!
Our close to perfect day ended with Corey grilling a picanha steak on our GMG smoker and a delicious dinner around the campfire for our last night in North Campground.
Don’t forget that Bryce is super accessible by bike as well! We had a blast on our new Lectric Bike XP Lites riding the paved bike path all the way from our campground to Inspiration Point! For more info on Lectric Bikes, check out their link here:

This was so awesome. Cory, you put together such fantastic videos and the music matched the breathtaking scenery. You should have twice as many subscribers for the quality of the videos you put out. We visited Bryce Canyon and were blown away. What I now realize is just how much we missed. We were only there for two full days.

You guys are a fun family and I enjoy your adventures. As a solo van lifer I visit the national parks and truly enjoy the scenery but what makes my excursions fun are the incredible people I meet along the way. Your skills as a photographer are wonderful and your ability to capture the beauty that is offered us is greatly appreciated.

The thing about sunrises in Bryce is that you HAVE to take photos, because if you painted a picture people would call you a liar, the colors are so unbelievable! And Franz donuts? They're the best!

Our last visit to Bryce was in 2006. We woke up to rain and drove to Bryce in the rain worrying it was not going to be a great day sightseeing. Bryce is my personal favorite of all the NP's and hoped to have a day of picture taking. Little did I know it would be the best day ever. As we arrived and exited the truck and walked up toward the edge of the canyon, my eyes could not believe the sight I was seeing. Rain had stopped, clouds were hanging below the rim and the contrast of wet and dry rock was indescribable! I was shooting film back then and used two or three rolls as fast as I could snap and change rolls. Heart pounding and so excited about what we were experiencing in that short window of time to capture it all and yet on film it was a fraction as beautiful as it really was. Thanks for reminding me of that wonderful day 16 years ago. You do an excellent job of capturing it on video, thank you for sharing. God bless and safe travels. We are blessed to have RVed 21 years in 48 states and Canada but are slowing down now.

Spectacular is my wife’s word for Bryce Canyon. We love that whole area. From Highway 89, all the way past Escalante, including Kodachrome Basin State Park, Calf Creek Falls, the Devils Garden and lots more, we can’t get enough. Thanks for showing so much of your day.

The colors, shapes and visual contrast in Bryce Canyon are just spectacular and you captured it perfectly Cory. My brother is a Master Electrician and he advised me that when it comes to solar, unless your rig is parked with unimpeded sunshine on the roof, you will not be able to capture enough solar for your needs. For very minimal cost and ease of replacement, the suitcase solar panels are a great investment and if you do have roof-top solar panels, they are a great backup plan if something goes wrong with the other. Hope all is well with you. Wishing you safe travels.

Last time we hiked Navaho Loop my wife's knee was hurting. She stayed near the parking area. I had the car keys. I hiked the trail. A thunderstorm popped up. I hurried back to the top. I couldn't find my wife when I returned. She was hiding in a port-a-john taking shelter from the storm. What memories!

Thank! You! This video was so meaningful for me. My family took a driving vacation back in 1993, and Bryce was one of our stops. My jaw dropped when I first saw the indescribable beauty of the colors, the shapes of the hoodoos, and the expanse of this incredible piece of heaven on earth. I have always wanted to go back, but haven't been able to. Your video took me there again. I felt the awe and wonder just like I did when I first laid eyes upon this priceless gift from God above. I am extremely grateful for your video and editing skills. I love how you share your family times. You're blessed, so blessed. And you added the perfect soundtrack for Bryce. Majestic. Proud. Serene. So special. Thank you again, so much. Susie from Port Washington WI.

Wow....I have been at the exact spot you took the sunrise pictures last Labor Day. Living in Utah, we have a lot of choices to visit, but Bryce Canyon continues to be one our top favorites, because as you said, it is constantly changing based on Sun angle and season. It's also one of the most comfortable national park locations in the Summer due to the high altitude, but come Fall, Winter and Spring, the night temps are some of the lowest in the state. Awesome videography!!! One of the very few that can capture the magic of Bryce and do it justice.

Cory, your cinematography and editing are very impressive, great job. Bryce is one of my favorites too, been there twice. I flew my drone over Bryce a couple years ago, launching from just outside the national park boundary, 2mi east of Sunrise point, and 2mi west of Tropic. It's at the end of "Tropic Trail", just outside the NP boundary, which is marked by sign. It's legal to launch and land there and fly over the hoodoos west of that area, over the NP.

From 1985 to the 2000s, I visited Bryce for landscape photography at least three times. Very rewarding. Unless you're hauling half a house round, like these folks, the place to stay, reserved well in advance, is Ruby's Inn. Bryce is in an area where there is no outside resources or services, so you do not plan to go there and "just find something local". Apart from hiking the canyon, there are many tourist services, like horseback riding or helicopter flights, if you are into that sort of thing. There is a park lodge, but it's relatively old, funky and overpriced. Recommend: a pre-hike breakfast at the park lodge, or a dawn photo trip, then breakfast.

That white layer, you will see it covers the entire earth. I forgot how many millions of years ago it was, but a large comet they say consisting of almost all iridium hit they earth and the collision cloud covered the earth. This was approximately about the time the dinosaurs went extinct. This layer is the only iridium on the planet. Iridium is used to harden platinum, used to make ball-point pen nibs, compass bearings and electrical contacts. Great video! We haven’t been there yet, but it is on the bucket list.

we visited Bryce this summer (yup, 120 degrees, shoes melting, good times, LOL) and it was fun to see places we've been through your lens. That bike path from Red Canyon to Bryce is the reason we bought our Lectric Ebikes and we cant wait to go back for that ride! For your solar, I'd be concerned you blew a fuse on one of the panels or something came disconnected. If you are still not getting what you expect, and I'm sure you have way more experienced people than I to reach out to, I'd check the fuses and connections. I dont think the panels are expected to work better when dirty. On my house solar as well as my toy hauler, we were told to keep them as clean as possible to maximize input. Just a thought. Nothing is worse than having something so spectacular as your setup and it not perform. Good luck.

Bryce is one of our favorite NPs, so these videos have been fun to watch and relive our trip there. We did the Mossy Cave hike also and it was great for our young son at the time. Such a different view from the other areas.

Wow! We had a whirlwind trip to Utah over 20 years ago and got to see a few of the sites but not Bryce Canyon. Your video definitely makes us want to add it to our bucket list. You do a great job of capturing the majestic beauty. It's always fun to have your kids mock you as you say things, isn't it?!? LOL Thor's Hammer... Ha ha ha! You sounded so sure!

Your vid popped up on my recommended today. I am a full time comedian and in the past I would set up a west coast tour, bring my family and inbetween find funfilled adventures! We love National parks. We are a family of 4 like you all except I have teen age boys. Lol. I subscribed to you all. Looking forward to watching more of your adventures 😉

Currently staying in my trailer in Michigan with low 20 temps at night. I ended up using an LP direct vent Ashley radiant heater for my main heat source and back it up with electric base board as well on 325 watts of heat. At 119 sq feet to heat it works pretty well

I took photos of my children at the Columbia Glacier inJasper National Park for years. It was interesting to see them age but even more so seeing how the glacier has receded. Hubs & I took photos (when safe) of us in front of “Welcome” Provincial andState signs on our big 2016 trip.

Great video! I love following you guys. I'm trying so hard to "find our someday"... health problems and family obligations have set things back. I purchased a 28ft tow hauler a year and half ago and unfortunately we were only able to take one short trip last summer. Praying for better opportunities this year. Thanks for the inspiration. God bless!
