An EVIL 5 Minutes Of Kettlebell Conditioning. My New Training Goal.

Ойын-сауық

Finding different ways to challenge yourself is a great way to keep from getting bored with your training.
After recently completing a burpee challenge, I was looking for something slightly different, but equally as challenging.
An absolute gold mine for tough and challenging training ideas can be found on the channel ‪@Emevas‬!
Here is Jared’s original video, which inspired this kettlebell challenge ⬇️

Today we are trying to complete 10 burpees and 55 kettlebell thrusters in under 5 minutes. This is no joke!!
I also discuss the 3 things that I think are necessary, when looking for a fitness challenge.

    I like the way you've mixed it up from the seal/six count weeks, seems really sensible and its good training! The only thing i might change would be I'd probably make it a 3.2.1 ratio pushup, racked squat, press/thruster, so the shoulders don't get as much work as the legs

  • @DavidWhitten

    @DavidWhitten

    Yeah man the 3.2.1 ratio is a good point. I was only going off what I was on Jared’s channel. It is definitely noticeable in rounds 9 and 10, that the shoulders are burning. Much more so than the legs. And believe me, I like burpees as much as the next guy but a different style of challenge was in order👌. • @DavidWhitten

    @DavidWhitten

    7 ай бұрын

    Hey thanks for the great question👍. The short answer is, I really don’t know. If I had to take an educated guess, I’d say no, it likely doesn’t produce the same result. With that said, if you only had 5-10 minutes to get a quick training session in, well then this could certainly provide the most bang for your buck👍. If I have longer to train, I like doing this from 1-10 and then back down to 1 again. Another option I’ve used is, 100 burpees, then this 1-10 ladder, with another 100 burpee buy out. That is a killer workout🥵. Anyway man, thanks for the question again! I hope that all makes sense. I appreciate you taking the time to ask👊.

    Great session! 5 mins can be really hard if the intensity is there. I have a 5 minute workout blast if I am really short of time, or as a finisher and it is tough! Ok, you said you were looking for a challenge [😲]...now I think this workout will fulfill all the criteria you mention [you have seen it] - it is something you may think you can't currently do...may be slightly scared of [can easily happen!]...something you may need to train for to complete...BUT nothing is that unfamiliar to you. It is here: kzread.info/dash/bejne/dIeOvLmlk7OyobA.html It really is a full body session. The only thing is that there is not a given number of reps to complete - that's the nature of this type of workout. It is time based so each person goes at their own pace. BUT if you can complete 5 rounds and be happy with the effort, then that's mission accomplished. It's only 25 minutes. How bad can it be...right?
