With Soly and Randy's stance on players going to the Saudi tour and wishing they would just be transparent saying its for the money..... I'd really expect to see the same logic applied here. Shipnuck didn't have some journalistic duty to the people to tease the excerpt before the book release and derail Phil's plans, he did it to make more money and promote his book. This wasn't some information that the people had to know, it was a quote from the subject of his book. Releasing the quote early was simply a play to make money, tell it like it is.

​@@stevecassidy9019 Even when it first broke, the articles and quotes all lead with him literally saying things like "in Shipnucks upcoming book", every podcast that ran with his quotes and story mentioned, "there's more to come in his upcoming book". It's all been a promotional tour to sell his books, MY point is that him making money off of it was never some hidden agenda.. He never once came out and said he was ONLY doing this as his duty as a journalist? Were the hyperlinks to preorder the book on all the articles that ran the story not enough? The huge pictures of the book cover? The multiple mentions of the title of the book? The two aren't mutually exclusive either. You can both want to make some cash AND feel its your journalistic duty to fight back against all those that willingly support a regime that butchered a fellow journalist. He has done both, everything he's reported and written is true and done to expose dealings with a government he fundamentally disagrees with. Him making bank from the book at the same time doesn't discredit the other.

You don’t see the hypocrisy here?
