Plane footage shot with the iPhone 14 Pro Max + Black Magic app.
Edited in Adobe Premiere Pro.

You captured the hustle and bustle of a day in the city, Roger I felt like I was back in Toronto in the 1960s ... except for all the people who were either on their phones or looking at their phones. I wonder what future generations will think about us, the culture who were attached to and lived their daily lives in their phones. 😂👍👍

Thank you, Wayne. I too look at the ‘now’ culture and wonder the same thing. In many ways the reason why I take photographs and make documentary style films is to capture the ‘now’ and fondly look back on in future years. I am absolutely fascinated with photographs from the 70’s, I truly wish that I was interested in photography back then.

Right on. Just what I needed to finish off my Sunday. I really like the way you mix photos and video in these. I tend to work through Melbourne - I see a lot of this, but your eyes show a lot of what I zip past - very much appreciate this.

Very kind mate, thank you. I usually see this in Sydney and take it for granted, obviously, however when it is on film I find it strangely different and intriguing.

Some of those moving shots, if you had people dresses in 40's suits would make it all look so authentically 1940's. I love this. Watching again on a bigger screen. I love the tank top image.

Yes, agree with the 40’s remark. I find it intriguing just watching people go about their day, and exactly as we all do, oblivious to what we look like.

Gives me such a NYC in the '70's vibe. We had been in a fiscal crisis for a few years and it seemed like the City was in black and white. Thanks for this video.

Thank you very much. I love the NYC 70's vibe. You should check out Jill Freedman's monochrome images from that time, she spent many nights tagging along in NYC police cars racing to scenes.
