Some of it was over my head, but all of it was interesting, and fascinating seeing your photography results. The benefits of manual focus are quite certain, these have a great quality which is very enjoyable. Nice work mate, hope you are well.

Thank you, RJ. I love the colour reproduction when using the Velvia film simulation on Fuji cameras.

Great video, liked the images at the end. I found using manual focus improved my photography a lot. Perhaps it is about being more intensely involved in the taking of each image. I did miss focus quite a lot in the beginning, however. I often still do...

Yeah, manual focusing does take it up a notch, but you gotta monitor the areas otherwise we’ll still miss as you say.

Thanks Roger, I guess us (not photographers) expect that every shot is a winner. Someone with skills in this area hitting about 50% gives us some hope 😂🤣

I use Voigtlander lenses….I tend to set to infinity and focus on further away things. It’s actually a lot of fun…hard work, but fun. I use the focus peaking at times to help. It’s harder with moving things or objects closer to the camera. Give it a try….

Very interesting. I’ve been looking at the Voigtlander’s also, love the look of them on the Fuji bodies. Appreciate the feedback.

@@rogerbrooksfilms I have three--18mm Color-Skopar, 27mm Ultron and the 50mm F1.2. The 18 and 27 I find forgiving with respect to focusing… the 50 takes a lot more practice, even at infinity….and it can go beyond infinity so one has to be extra careful with it. But I do enjoy them…haven’t taken them off my camera since I got them. I mostly shoot architecture and more general street photography…less so people. I think the 18 and 28 cost me around $850 CDN each, while the 50 was $1100 CDN. Maybe you can find them for less used or on EBay.
