On Sony you can go to A-Mode, SET your ISO Auto-Range and Aperture and then you can set the "ISO AUTO min. Shutter Speed" for different Lighting Conditions on the Location. Then you'll always have a fast SS which is important for Sports like Basketball or Soccer. For Soccer I always go with min Shutter Speed 1/2000. On the A7IV you can crank the ISO up to above 6400 and it will look usable

It depends on the focal length being used and how far away you are from your subject. Smaller focal length = more in focus, the more you zoom in, the more narrower the depth of field becomes. Then subject-distance comes into play. You can get pretty close to people and still have a decent amount in focus with a lower focal length. With higher focal lengths, you need to be quite some distance away from your subject if you want more things to be in focus.

@@BrianBoschesorry meant the canon R10. Basically each camera has its role when I am on a job. Sometimes it really just comes down to what I feel like using at that particular time or what I am after. I find canon has better dynamic range and more vibrant colors. But the Nikon out performs the canon in sports and portrait photography.

any good cameras bodies you recommend that won’t break the bank ? everything shoots 8-11 fps and I feel like that’s too slow, looking for something around 2K
My boy marquis Teague!
If I just shoot at 1/4000 shutter, will it better. I’m trying to photograph flying birds

which camera do you use for that ?
What camera Did you use?
Do you always understand expose by a stop ? Is this due to the lighting or just for post ?
Also tell about the lens u use with these settings..
How do you get into shooting professional sports? Right now I'm focusing on building my portfolio through high school sports, as the games are free. Are you freelance, or with a publication?
In M mode, it's taking a long time for my picture to process and to actually be taken. What can I do to make it quicker? Pictures are coming out blurry each time. And also monitor goes dark when l press to shoot
200-600 or 70-200? Or 100-400? If you could only choose one for sports.
How would you shoot soccer outside? Thank you...
Nice shots 👌🏾 which app do you use for editing?

For that kind of shot, i wouldn't gamble with auto focus...I would shoot manual.
Why did you add a little cold fade to them?
Just like my camera missing eyepiece

Do you use manual or auto focus?
What lens are u using sir?
F2.8 seems kinda small, do you ever have issues with face being out of focus? I'm new and gonna do my first sports shoot tomorrow for my swordfighting club!

Sony has really good autofocus for faces so it doesn’t happen often, but if you are running into that issue definitely bump it up.

It depends on the focal length being used and how far away you are from your subject. Smaller focal length = more in focus, the more you zoom in, the more narrower the depth of field becomes. Then subject-distance comes into play. You can get pretty close to people and still have a decent amount in focus with a lower focal length. With higher focal lengths, you need to be quite some distance away from your subject if you want more things to be in focus.
is that the 70-200mm 2.8F lens?
Where did you edit those photos?
You have any good idea for settings for sports but outdoor with sunlight?
