Ойындар
In the second installment of province management I go over the different kinds of buildings and what they effect. I talk about my strategy of taking care of food and squalor and finally I go over diplomacy and what all the different options are defined as.

you got so surprised at the start of the video, fact is. 7 years later and the community still lacks videos like this, nice job
10yrs later and still people come here to get guidance, good vid
Thanks for all the guides! 2021 and you're the only channel that explains every facet of this game in the most comprehensive way
I really appreciate the kind words. I would greatly appreciate you guys sharing these with friends and family that could use the help as well. I thank you guys for being so involved and giving me guides you want to see.
Seriously considering restarting my Macedon campaign after watching this, thanks for putting the time in and keep it up!!
Thanks for the guides ! I played Rome total war 1 and got really confused regarding province management. It's much more complex.
I know these are a few years old but man, these are all good tutorials. Well presented sir
Very nice work, thank you for doing these! I loved Total war I, but had some problems in this one until I saw your videos!
GREAT tutorials. Rome 2 is my first Total War game and i didnt understand a thing. Thanx to ur tutorials i can finally have fun while playing the game. U have another subscriber
This is awesome! I am so stoked I can help new players out without being the guy that makes you say "Get to the point already!". Hope you enjoy the rest of the game and my content :)
Great series I'm enjoying these well done! Can you maybe explain the tech trees further eg. can you research both cival and military trees at the same time, and can you research be done on one of each branch at the same time?Keep up the series it really opens up the game for me.
OMG I was having all kinds of problems with this game, Thanks it explains a lot on what I was doing wrong in this game.
Always seen these games and never forked out for RTS's, bought total war 2 as the reviews looked good and didnt have the slightest clue what i was doing, completely screwed up my first campaign in about 20 turns so i went looking for help, found these videos and i feel totally clued up on how to go about things but still not feeling like im following a walkthrough, nice work bud
Thanks man helped out a lot you just earned another sub
Love your vids they are so good helped out a noob like a me alot, you need so many more subs keep up the great vids keep it up!!!!!
You mentioned that it was fairly odd that some parts of Anatolia had Celtic culture. This is based upon the Galatians, who were Celts who moved into the region through Thrace at around 270 BCE. They had been part of an invasion-migration force led by the celtic leader Brennus, but they were separated from that force and were invited over into Asia by a local ruler who desired their military aid. They've got a pretty interesting history.
If I could put this quote on a plaque I would be happy. Literally everything I want to hear about my work. Thank you for the kind words.
Wow. Starting Total War with Rome II is kind of jumping in the deep end. It's about as complicated as all previous TW games put together :P
great video man :)
What filter are you using on this video? I am using GEM 2.1 TrueColour atm but I LOVE the vibrancy of your game. The colours are lovely.
I balance my provinces with Antony's Rome. I have a field off Mars/upgraded then in every province. If they attack me at least I will get it back quick then. I'm like 9 turns in and it's still not a civil war. Just Pompey attacked Octavian and I joined the war and Lepidus didn't. But They're both still my defensive allies. Also my relationship with Octavian improves significantly. I have a full army stack that qonquered Palmyra and now together with Armenia(client state) we qonquer some off Parthia. Anthony is ready to go to the city off Syracuse and take Sicily. I had a lot off time to build up fine armies because there still is no civil war. It's the first time it doesn't happen afther those turns. Usually it's like turn 3 bam war.. So I enjoy it now this campaign like everyone is a bit more passive. Also have auxiliary barracks in Greece and Syria. And the 3 politics parties all are in the positive for once.
It's actually not a filter. I have upgraded my editing program from Sony Vegas pro 9.0 to 12.0 and I believe I hit the wrong setting. It made all the colors super bright and I have been looking for a way to turn it down. Ironically though I was looking at KZread's filters to see if I could find one to tone it down.

I like the colour , i was hoping you might be using a 'enhanced colour mod'. Thanks for the vid
Hi, what's the exact difference between the two types of military buildings? Does the one that unlocks new units works over your whole province or your whole empire? Do you need to build more than one of these in each province?
The game forces the player, because of the high squalor or food consumption to sacrifice regions to keep lower end buildings. In the regions where you want to build top tier buildings, you're going to have to keep religion & entertaining, that will mean high food consumption. Therefore you can still create regions that give +20 food surplus (they also require high public order buildings to counter squalor from agriculture buildings). It makes the player plan ahead. Quite nice.
The filter makes it look better in my opinion :)
As Pontus, why dont you focus on upgrading your ports into commercial ports? it benefits a lot from the inner bonus of the faction, and by doing that you still can build the two agriculture buildings in each sub settlements, then build the two industrial ones from your main settlement, then the cultural one which upgrades agricultural/industrial benefit, then religious ones everywhere u can to balance the public order. Thats the best way to maximize your income out of settlements in my opinion
Did you discover if any of the bldgs have hidden penalties like in the first Rome? IIRC, one of the temples had a penalty and upgrading sewers too high caused a penalty and if you ended the turn with a certain amount in the treasury it caused a penalty...
Well I guess to each their own! I will still be fixing it to just make it look like the normal game but I'm glad it doesn't bother everyone.
"Regions" don't have multiple cities "provinces" do. Everything (public order, wealth, etc) is determined on a 'provincial' level. So building something in a "region" benifits the whole "province." For example: Roma is 1:4 "regions" in the "province" of Italia. The other 3 are Neapolis, Velathri and Arminum - building a farm in any of those "regions" increases the food supply of the whole "province."
I already posted in province management 1 video,so i am going to ask here as well,What happens since I am in Grand campaign legendary diff.196B.C. and growth has stopped in Italia on some big city's and a few small settlements,I cannot figure out if I need to remove squalor structures to let growth pick up again at this point in my game.or try a mod of no squalor.
Better quality video. Did you change how you prepared the video? (capture/edit)
Ciceu Alexandru - u're wrong - sulprus food is exported to other provincies
i always suffer with rebels due to lack of food but can u explain more how to feed people i dont get it yet and how to select it in the game step by step
concerning prov management. If I have a region with two cities(major, minor) and place farms and livestock in the minor, then place building that gives boosts to the wealth of farms and livestock in the major with the bonus transfer to the minor town? and if it does then does buildings for with other bonus's go across the region?
Is the industrial building (Amphorae Maker) in Ancyra's 5% wealth from agricultural boost faction wide or just for that province? If it's just province wide it will not give any sort of benefit right?

Unless is says faction wide it's just the province, yeah.
"a guide I didn't even know I would do" Heh, wait til this guy hears about part 3
The opposite in my oppiniion, the game is very streamlined has a decent tutorial. This is where the problem lies with many older TW players the game lacks depth. Im still glad that people enjoy it. Its a hate/love relation for me :)
can't believe i'm watching this video in 2024, how old is this game? haha
question if youll even look at this but im good all except for the "training buildings" are they worth the spots in your cities

It mostly depends on where you need them. You usually want them as close to your front as possible. If you've been doing a bit of expanding, it's generally a good idea to demolish them in your backwater provinces (where they're not needed) and convert them into more food or economic buildings, and construct your military buildings where you know you'll be needing the troops. I typically will try and build the military buildings I need in one province near the front, but they don't have to be in the same region. I.e., Province has 4 regions; lets say I have 1 military in each region of different types. You can recruit all units from all military buildings anywhere in that province. Definitely don't neglect the smithies. Hope this helps!
i have a question about military workshops , are they empire wide or do i have to build them in every province ?

The description will tell you if its Faction or Province Wide, looks like this (Faction Wide) or (Local Province). BTW: Workshops benefits are only Local Province.

+Joshua Fung They lower your food, and decrease happiness. There is no real good side to them and they appear by themselves.
But keep in mind that if any of the cities of your province get to war public order will decay
I just can't stand your hipster instagram filter mod for R2
