    I thought BJ's "Aryan Design" was to piss on the Nazi racial ideology as he's of Jewish and Polish heritage.

    Rhett Zember DaivdOZ BJ's design is very reminiscent in approach, and look to Marvel's Steven Rodgers (Captain America), just more uber-violent. They're both the ubermensch (Aryan), and both ideologically against the Nazis. I'm shocked I haven't seen anyone make that comparison.

    Good job on the analysis. When I played through the game a year back, I paused after every chapter to take in the events that occurred in each one. For a first person shooter, it was surprisingly well written and thought provoking. The scene that was my favorite was BJ's ride in the moon base rail train, during which he hums and sings softly to the chorus of "Die Käfer - Mond, Mond, Ja, Ja." I may be overthinking this but that simple scene added to BJ as a character. As we know the German tongue was enforced as the new global language by the Nazis, and this world's Beatles were forced to sing that song in said tongue. BJ's appreciation of that song enforces that his fight is against the ideology the Nazis represent rather than simply anything German.

    You say for B.J. that it was always about killing nazis but I have to emphatically disagree. The New Order is a game about that makes B.J. a great character through, among other things, contrasting two of the most striking character traits, the first mostly in gameplay, the other mostly in cinematics (but also gameplay to a degree). It contrasts his bottomless contempt for the Nazis through the savage violence he inflicts upon them, the most obvious trait he has, with something MachineGames imbued him with themselves - boundless empathy for others. His hatred for the Nazis comes from a place of compassion for the weak and vulnerable. The game highlights it by making just about everybody he surrounds himself with the weak and vulnerable. Caroline is wheelchair bound, Max has a developmental disability, Set Roth is a devout Jew living in Europe in the early 20th century, J is a black american, Fergus and Wyatt experience PTSD, and Tekla actually has two separate conditions, autism and schizophrenia, existing comorbidly. Klaus has no such sort of trait but what earns him B.J.'s respect is how Klaus treats Max. The game opens with B.J. lamenting the loss of life of many young men, boys really, just starting their life being sent out into the meat grinder to die having no say in the matter. What breaks B.J. out of his trance is the callous murder of defenseless mentally ill patients and those who have compassion for them. B.J. isn't an avatar of blind hatred, he is a champion of the weak. That's one of the reasons why he gets so upset at J for characterization of him and it's why B.J. can push that aside and find common water with him like water under the bridge. There's plenty of smaller moments of this deep well of compassion coming forward in cinematics and in gameplay. One time you're at the hideout you accidentally upset Max so B.J. decides that he's going to find Max's missing toys for him and then when he finds them all he arranges his letter blocks to spell Max's name. In a cutscene where Tekla, a woman who has only been rude and dismissive towards B.J., stands by his bedside while him and Anya are sleeping naked he doesn't flip out and get mad at her, he listens to her ravings because those ravings are important to Tekla, tries to follow and understand her not-easy-to-follow raving, and then follows up with his own input. Later he talks to her to try to understand her determinist worldview and teaches her how to use a firearm. During her death scene they're both able to empathize with each other and Tekla understands B.J. in a way that only she does and other characters don't, as a victim of fate. A woman with both autism and schizophrenia - traits played for comic relief at best but usually ridicule and even villainization - is treated with accuracy and respect by the game and treated by B.J. with an open hand and open mind. That sort of openness is how TNO's writing is able to have such credibility when you have retrofuturistic robots with gatling guns patrolling Nazi concentration camps. I think this empathy Blascowicz has is no more clear than his recitation of The New Colossus at the end of the game. Emma Lazarus was a Jewish activist who met an untimely death and it's no coincidence that he's reciting that. I'm sure that during development MachineGames decided that B.J. canonically was Jewish himself, something now confirmed which makes the parallel more explicit. He's reciting it from heart not because of some blind american jingoism and that it's a popular vaguely american thing, he's reciting it because he's a true believer in the ideals embodied by the poem and by the Statue of Liberty. That poem matters to him because those ideals drive him earnestly. Those gruff, melancholic "war is hell" monologues he keeps having through the story come off as earnest and credible instead of edgy like they do in other games because of this compassion - how many characters in a modern CoD game do you think could recite The New Colossus? B.J. reciting the poem also tells us why he fell for Anya in the first place - because he saw the same compassion for the weak he has embodied in her. It transforms the often used obligatory but senseless pairing of two characters of the opposite gender together because they're near each other from an eyeroll to something touching. What he sees in Anya is why he's able to die at peace after earlier wondering if anything left in the world was worth saving - because he knows the spirit of compassion and liberty that he's fought for has not been extinguished from the world, that he successfully fought to keep it alive and gave it a fighting chance on its own without him needing to carry the burden. Deathshead says that he wishes to be judged by what he creates rather than what he destroys and B.J. as his opposite represents the flaw in the binary thinking of construction being good and destruction being bad. Deathshead builds is a world devoid of the soul (important to B.J., he brought up the soul in the conversation with Tekla and quotes the Old Testament while Deathshead creates literally soulless machines in the shape of animals and men), a world of brutal efficiency and does it through construction. B.J. stands opposed to that binary, demonstrating destruction as a force of good, and how as counter-intuitive it may be to our typical idea of progress, that destruction and bloodshed can be morally righteous and even an act of kindness. B.J.'s path of destruction isn't fated because he's bloodthirsty, it's fated because he cannot abide by injustice. It's one of the things that sets him apart from his unlikable, archetypal "brooding american military hero" counterparts despite having all of the hallmarks of one - unlike them we see he's an absolute true believer in all of it. So yeah, I think you're generally spot on but missed the point on that. And while you're here, could you not describe the evil Nazis like Deathshead and Engel as mentally ill? Because they're not. Evil isn't a mental illness. The fact that the game has multiple characters with some sort of mental condition who are all on the side of good is meant to illustrate that while those mental conditions are not a choice the willingness to do good or to do evil is. I mean, we see Nazis straight up purge a mental asylum and its entire staff - dozens of completely defenseless human beings characterized as "parasites" being slaughtered because, yes, they do drain resources without providing anything in return - and that doesn't make their right to life less legitimate in the eyes of Blascowicz. It's the choices that the Nazis we see make to harm others that makes their right to life illegitimate, something to be denied.

    I recently bought this game on sale and upon completing it wanted to see what kind of analysis videos there were for it. Turns out there are surprisingly few, but yours is one of the better ones. You've just earned another subscriber. As an addendum to your pointing out the stupidity of idiots yelling that the game promotes "white genocide," it's kind of hard to depict Nazis any other way than white due to their beliefs in Aryan supremacy and extermination of "subhumans." Yes there were nonwhites who served in the Wermacht during World War II, but they were so exceptionally rare as to be statistically nonexistent. On the flip side, I don't think there are nearly as many of these idiots as the media likes to portray. It's just easier nowadays for the lunatic fringe to make themselves heard in comment sections and social media. The game sold well and was largely praised by both critics and the public, so it's not like the majority didn't like it. With regards to B.J.'s fakeout death at the end, you do hear a helicopter approaching after the end credits, so the Resistance presumably went back for him before the nuke hit. That said, it does strain credibility. I mean, I get that B.J. is a tank of man who takes ridiculous amounts of injuries and powers on through, but a grenade explosion at point blank range is pretty extreme even for him. If I may give some constructive criticism, you could have probably pared down the walkthrough of the game's plot and levels a bit. Viewers who have played the game will already be familiar with such things, and those who haven't but are willing to sit through a lengthy analysis video are probably curious enough to go and play it themselves. Also, some of the game footage was much quieter than the rest of the video, to the point that I had to crank up the volume a few times. In all though, a solid analysis of the most compelling and memorable FPS title this generation. Simply put, Wolfenstein: The New Order is far more intelligent and thought-provoking than it has any right to be given its premise. If Wolfenstein: The New Colossus manages to deliver even half of what this game did I'll be a happy gamer.

    Wow, this is great stuff here. I am optimistic about The New Colossus. I think with an increased budget and a refined vision, they are going to make something really special. It's one of my most anticipated titles now. The B.J. grenade survival thing is tough, especially seeing what it did to Deathshead, who wasn't any further away from the explosion. He was obliterated to all but his torso pretty much. I should have explored this more, but there is such a commitment to showing BJ as.... super-human. Dialogue like when Bubi says "I gave you enough to take down ten men" or something like that when he poisons you is another example of the developers being heavy handed about this. It's almost as if the game is canonizing the game play, which is to say that he is capable of being shot so many times in game, why can't he in cut scenes too? Which is a common dissonance in video games. This is all pretty much stream of consciousness from me though, I dunno if there is anything real to it. He's probably just buff. I love criticism, which I mention in some of my other videos. Even the real angry kind.Thank you for being respectful though. I agree on the summarizing. I'm in a weird place with these videos. I figure there are so many video game analysts out there. I am juggling being an analyst and a book reporter. I want a venue for someone to go if they don't want to play a whole game, and don't like watching some screaming let's player, where they can "experience" the game to the closest way rather than playing. You're totally right though. The audio stuff improves every go I have at this. It's tough. Thanks again.

    DavidOZ a minor thing I wanted to add to the conversation, was about BJ's apparent tank like nature in the cutscenes. In the scene where Bubi poisons BJ, he says after the line about it being able to paralyze elephants, that there must be something wrong with BJs brain. The implication being that the shrapnel that's still in Blazko's head somehow prevented the toxin from fully reaching his brain and causing complete paralysis. Shaky science? Maybe, but it shows the developers weren't trying to make BJ the complete Ubermensch. As well from what we've seen of new colossus, Blazko's been in a coma for a while and even when he wakes up he's paralyzed from the waist down and requires the Da'at Yichud Power Suit to actually walk around for, at least for the start of the game. BJ's obviously tanky to a certain degree, but I don't think the devs made him seem indestructible, just very tough and too stubborn to die. Anyways, great video, just wanted to throw in my two cents.

    I like your analysis a lot, but you are wrong on one point - Wolfenstein makes a clear statement that all Nazis are human. From Klaus Kreutz (ex-Nazi) to the citizens in Germania which you can hear during the sewer section above, to the SS officer talking about his family at the start of the game (and many others late on in the game). That is why Wolfenstein tells such a story - it isnt afraid to make the statement about humanity in general. That is why Tekla and Jay work so well in the game's themes.

  • @DavidOZ

    @DavidOZ

    7 жыл бұрын

    I agree humanity is important, especially with Jay's monologue on racism in America. It may even be making a point about redemption. I agree words are important here though and I probably brushed with too big of a brush when discussing the enemies. Sure, Deathshead is human. He has guts and blood and moving thumbs. He absolutely lacks humanity though. As do most of the whackos you kill, so no I don't think the game is making a clear statement that all Nazis are human. Maybe that they can be, but the one's in charge, no.

  • @CharcharoExplorer

    @CharcharoExplorer

    7 жыл бұрын

    It seems to be a statement about ideology and how soulless it is in general. It draws the line quite cleverly IMHO. Deathshead is human, true, and he has human traits - he is ambitious like all humans are. He is like the DatÝichude from the story just a much darker version of them. His quest was to win for technology and bring upon an age of his engineering, an ubermensch and the Nazi idology was his opportunity. Engel is different, she is purely a Nazi and a monster but she still has passion, even if sick and demented. I think the bad guys dont lack humanity, its their humanity which makes them more repulsive. As for the common soldiers, in German as they are slaughtered by BJ they start feeling fear and talking about what an unstoppable person they are. Whilst meta in the sense that this is a commentary on video game protagonists, it also humanizes them in the face of another monster (a physical one). Others still lament their job, have issues with the regime or dont care - they have a family and friends. I am actually surprised Wolfenstein went so hard and so deep with its themes and I now believe a nuanced approach is what these games do well. Even RTCW had humanized Nazis which I like - it makes pulling the trigger more exciting and still adds to a major theme I like in literature. All humans can be evil. Its too bad that in their stupid SJW vs Anti-SJW war, the monolinguals will basically butcher the art form :(

  • @DavidOZ

    @DavidOZ

    7 жыл бұрын

    I understand. I think what you are touching on is so much bigger and nuanced than I gave myself time for. You're right though, and understanding the role of even just a normal Wehrmacht soldier in WWII is an argument that will probably never be fully agreed upon. Was he evil? Or was he disillusioned by his countrymen? Sure, he was a "nazi" but is he the same as Deathshead? How do we reconcile a young man swept up in the third reich? Tough stuff. Thanks for watching.

  • @CharcharoExplorer

    @CharcharoExplorer

    7 жыл бұрын

    Yeah dont mention it. In all honesty I think id rather judge the GRUNTS (the normal soldiers) individually. The Soviet army (and the USSR in general) was both much stronger than Nazi Germany and much worse, with its soldiers raping and pillaging and letting the Warsaw Uprising slaughter happen. But the Soviet soldier isnt an evil entity, he is just human, same for all others. Some of them were twisted and demented for sure, hell I remember watching a video at school of a US soldier marauding the teeth of dead Japanese soldiers to sell them for profit, stealing from the dead and acting without respect for them (which is a war crime, even if not a major one). Or reports of rapes from US soldiers too and French and British ones. The human condition is very complex. The evil that is the Nazi commander is complex, yet its still a human being even if one that is monstrous. I am currently writing a written review of Wolfenstein TNO and I will touch on these things. People often ask "Why do I shoot Nazis?" especially if they dont know history. Wolfenstein actually answers that and it also answers why BJ hates them, why Klaus the ex-Nazi officer hates them JUST as much as BJ (if not more) and why they suck so much. It answers why Nazis hurt Germany, why they hurt art, why they make a mockery of progress and technology, why they corrupt smart men, vapid people, why they make soldiers act out terrible deeds. It isnt as in depth as I would love, but its a lot for a video game, and downright startling for Wolfenstein (I am a major Wolfenstein fan, but whilst smart, the game was never before smart in thematic depth).

    Honestly idk where to start with this so here we go I loved this game and this critique to bits honestly like this game is probably my favorite game from 2014 the combat is extremely satisfying and idk why but when one of my fav moments for me personally was to run outside when you had to rescue Anya from the Nazi's (the end of the hospital mission when you meet her) and just running outside with an assault rifle and mowing down all of the Nazi's that were in my path it was just so satisfying. And OH MY GOD THE DOUBLE BARREL SHOTGUN this was probably my most used weapon in the game i just loved running up to someone sliding and then just blasting a whole chunk out of them. The story was pretty good not the best story ever but i believed everything about the characters and never doubted that they were good characters for a minute. The level design was brilliant aswell i mean in the first mission/level you go from a plane battle to storming a beach to climbing up a castle wall and walking around the outside of a castle to then be locked in an incinerator room and to jump out of the castle before it blows up just god i could say more but i would probably go through the entire game Now to the critique i just want to say that this is one of my favorite critiques on the platform considering you were so well spoken and had everything just so well put together like it sucks that this channel and video didn't get the recognition that it deserves you've earned another sub and i wish you the best for your future projects. A good review. I like this game - it's a no frills shooter, with a bit of a story. That's all you need sometimes. I like the smooth simplicity of it. Give me linear anytime, I don't have the hours to spent wandering around in pretty landscapes. This is a fun blaster with a few stealth opportunities - that'll do. A great review, done with style and aplomb. Nice.

    I think his inner monologues during the missions were kinda... hard to include in the video. I don't know how I feel about them. My gut reaction is that the developers wanted to make BJ seem more nuanced and emotional. I don't know if it succeeded, mainly because I think BJ is interesting for a lot of other reasons. Thank you for the kind words. This kinda stuff really means a lot.

    You hit the nail on the head. This game is surprisingly artful with its commitment to writing and gameplay. As a side note, during the credits for the game is you listen in you can hear a helicopter getting closer, which I assume is Anya picking up BJ before the nuke lands. Which also characterizes the ending for BJ as him wanting the end to his story. Throughout the game he is portrayed as nothing more than tired, while being tasked with something literally impossible to do. When he crawls to see Anya's escape and recites the poem, he thinks of himself as passing the torch, therefore he can die. But BJ's inexplicable invincibility, which in itself is sort of a motif of the game, keeps him alive even after he has laid down at the end of his story allowing Anya to pick him up to be doing the same thing in New Colossus. Strange ending.

    One of the most fascinating elements about this game, isn't that its a war setting, it's an apocalypse setting, similar to fallout. This appears to be especially the case in the New Colossus with it's sick twisted cheery tone. The reason I say this, is from both a narrative. The narrative is that this is a disaster, that is irreversible, the Nazis aren't gone by the end. There is no happy ending, no epilogue, and I don't think there will be. The Nazis are presented as a force of nature, representing everything twisted regarding Nazi ideology, and most encounters with the Nazis are a metaphor of this. Deathshade represents the cruel sadistic scientist side, while the SS couple represent the Aryan superiority side. The biggest aspect of how the Nazi victory is presenting more of a force of nature than an victory, is that it seems endless. When did anyone care what you did, care about how many soldiers you killed. Barely ever, you can't undo an apocalypse, and in this game despite your best efforts, you can't undo their control

    "I made it this far" proof that I made it to the end where you say to comment if we made it to the end This game left me with a very strong existential feeling. As someone who loves history, reading up on WWII leaves a lump in my throat knowing that it was only a couple coincidental mistakes that caused the Nazis to lose, such as the Russian invasion. It was a very close reality that the world in Wolfenstein could have been the real world - albeit without the crazy sci-fi tech, but still a Nazi rule. Your style of commentary was excelent. Very logical points and not as much subjective input as actually trying to analyze the game from an objective angle. I'd love to see more of these types of videos. It was a very "academic" approach to discussing the video game's gameplay, world, and lore.... a type of discourse severely lacking in the gaming community. I look forward to seeing other analyses from your channel

    I'm a huge Indiana Jones fan, so I was naturally drawn to Wolfenstein when I was young because they share a lot of the same DNA in many areas. Based on mid 20th century pulp stories regarding badasses taking down Nazis, and very much focusing on action and heroics that portrays the Third Reich as the bumbling, insecure, and quite frankly not that smart bullies they were as opposed to the armies of unstoppable iron men they wanted others to think of them. Seeing this video and Jacob Geller's gave me the idea for a second Indiana Jones movie if I ever wanted to make a trilogy based on my favorite action hero. How interesting would it be for Indy to have an adventure set entirely in America, and focus on his already established hatred of Nazis, only for his story to be about how he discovers how many people in his own nation, and how much of his nation's history shares with the ideals of the Nazis. By the end he could learn more about being more aware of what really makes a Nazi a Nazi, perhaps learn a thing or two from people who are hurt by segregationist laws in place in the U.S., and it could still contain all the action and thrill of what you could see in an Indiana Jones flick.

    I really enjoyed this video! It's a great analysis, showing that there's more to Wolfenstein than just going around shooting Nazi's in the face, eventhough that is a big thing in the game. I also didn't know about the poetry in the end, used as B.J's final monologue, as someone who wants to get into poetry it is very eye opening and I'll most definitely look into it. Once again, great video and I can't wait to either see the Kingdom Hearts or the Rockstar Games videos you are willing to make. My preference goes out to Kingdom Hearts. Can't wait to see more!

    just suscribed bell an all, great video, I am really hyped for the new colossus, however the new order while I love the personality of the game and mostly everything, gameplay wise I tought it was just ok, you don't move fast enough for arena combat to work( Doom 2016 does this perfectly) , there aren't enough stealth mechanics on it to go that route only, so I think it is stuck between being old school and breaking the mold of call of duty while trying to be modern at the same time, and it achieves it at times and at times it just feels a bit clunky, keep up the good work

  • @bazzy5644

    I did wonder many times if they wanted to do more with stealth, not only the beginning of the old blood but also the mid of the main game seem to be a perfect opportinuty to make an intricate vent system like in a stealth game work, imo. I agree on Doom 2016 did many things in gameplay better imo. The fact that BJ isn't able to jump on leges for example, the bridge level in particular gave me rages one after the other. Movement speed as well as Weapon switching were also things that weren't ideal in TNO. But as you said this game was far better than it had any right to be, i just hope the new game irons out these problems, otherwise it would be a shame. This could be the next step after Doom 2016 to be a game of the year contender.

    I love these kinds of videos. what I remember enjoying most about this game was when it came out it was a refreshing change, no developer Social Club to join, it didn't have hundreds of meaningless collectibles, it didn't have annoying mini missions or side quests required to level up your character. it was just a straight-up throwback to a classic 90's first person shooter. for me a lot of the appeal of video games is the power fantasy. for reasons too personal to disclose in public comment, the feeling a sense of power in a video game is extremely important to me, as I so often lack it in real life. so for me it wasn't so much about killing Nazis or attacking racist ideology as much as it was exercising my frustration and anger with the trials and tribulations of everyday life... were you can't just blow things away with a double shotgun, where the solutions aren't so simple, where the paths to success aren't so clear, where achievement isn't guaranteed.

Frau Engel is based on Hermene Braunsteiner and Deathshead are based Joseph Mengele. Also, entire resistence is made out of "undersirable". While setting is exaguarated, their actions are not. They are actually portrayed very realistically.

    This was a great Vid. But i have a few suggestions. First your twitter link on your channel doesn't work (takes me back to the channel). Secondly i would prefer if you could include timestamps for skipping. If for example i just want to hear about story or mechanics and on that note its a bit much praise for the gameplay, imo. The checkpoints are the most annoing parts i've seen form a game in a long time and i really don't think this is a small critisim either, because the setback can waste so much time for literally nothing, also the bullet spongeness of the heavy dudes should be mentioned here as well. To make it short i would love to have a breakdown of gameplaymechanics and story, if you're willing to do so. Something personal at the end its a damn shame that channels such as yours are litterlly completly ignored by youtube, had i not looked up wolfenstein tno in particular i had never found you! keep it up!

With the inclusion of Nazi super-soldiers and domination, it could be very easy to make the game a Wehraboo’s dream, and yet it is anything but. It does not try to find a “honourable nazi” among the soldiers, it does not equivocate or show much sympathy towards these monsters. Yeah, the main character did just massacre a captured Nazi officer with a chainsaw - do not act like you did not want that to happen. The one “good” Nazi soldier, Klaus, drives that point home - the only good nazi is the one that stopped being one. About the concentration camp scene, I am personally not sure what to think about it. I’m Polish, and so the war and the holocaust especially are the things I learned about from a very young age. Fun fact: for a long time after the war, it was considered unacceptable for anyone that did not go through the holocaust to create any sort of art about it. That cultural, multigenerational taboo combined with a simple fact I personally know and talked a few older folk who lived in Poland at the time, make the holocaust and Nazi camps generally a very serious issue. Seeing this stuff in a video game, even though it was executed just fine, kind of rubbed me the wrong way. I do not think the creators have done something wrong, but I absolutely do get how some may be critical of the scene.

    Further to what some have said elsewhere the game doesn't show the Nazis as being all cackling villains - even if without a doubt they are authoritarian supremacists who despise instead of accepting weakness as an inherent part of the human condition - and indeed the Nazis constantly come up short physically. Still it is hard not to feel a little pang of guilt when one of the guards is angrily castigating his younger colleague for ignoring the fact that uberconcrete is clearly unsafe, how it is causing them all to have health problems and it is affecting his family. He even says when his younger colleague insists - all evidence to the contrary that everything is fine and their leaders would never lie to them - "stop being so blue eyed!", thus instead of blue eyes being evidence of 'pure aryan racial stock' it is evidence of stupidity.

    I think another thing a lot people miss is the second games message of unity. In that game you team up with communist, anarchist and all different types of folk and people took that as anti capitalism/democracy. It’s not about what form of government the nazis are, It’s a message that despite the differences in the ideas about the government, an authoritarian racist regime needs to be taken down.

    1:20 If you were a bit aware of the game market, there are more non-violant games than violant ones. Now you might play with definitions but no... most games are not about butchering people by your bear bloody fists. Also all games are not AAA games. Most are mobile games or small 2D games. The best ones are about having a challenge and putting up a bloody fight I agree, but they win the race because the have an interesting challenge for the player.

    Regarding the "politics" of the game, cod has been depicting russians, japanese, nazis etc as pure evil for decades now, and there's nothing wrong with portraying them in such a way, its art, and art that is clearly fictional, its not meant to be takes in the context of the real world or interpreted as a political statement, not all german soldiers in ww2 agreed with hitlers ideologies (a lot of innocent kids who fought barely know what they were fighting and eventually died for), but that is not set in or has any relation to the world of the game, in the game's world nazi soldiers are comically evil and its extremely cool and entertaining, and that's the point of entertainment, the fact the game has a lot of minorities in the resistance is properly contextualized too and makes sense within the context of the game. Im usually the first to hate when games infuse radical ideologies and sjw politics into their games (like black ops cold war, where its forced and the main character suffers for it) but that's far from the case for Wolfenstein. Also your video is great, its a shame you get so little views man, you definitely deserve way more, especially considering this video is 4 years old now.

    I just finished this game for the first time yesterday. A quick question: Did they state that Anya is pregnant during the span of TNO? I know the reveal trailer for The New Colossues shows she's preggers but I don't think they said that in this game.

    True... I want to say they do talk about it in TNO, but I'm probably making that up from when I saw it in the trailer. Huh. Thanks

    What about the audio dieries form her sis. The first line she said to bj kinda made me think about how she maybe wanted to hint about it. It was something like ".. she had many secrets within her" but maybe the TNC promo footage made me just link a simple phrase to it. Didn't hear those diaries in game yet i have to say.

    This engine is a damn piece of crap and i do not even own an AMD card. But still the texture streaming issues and the performance problems to this day on a 9 or 10 gen Nvidia card is a damn tesxtiment of how bad id Tech 5 really is. Glad to hear the new game runs on id tech 6. Doom showed how fucking perfect a game can be on there. Literally the best running game i ever played. Even freaking HL 2 has drops every now and then Doom had no drops at all.
