Teddy probably cringes when he sees me start a comment. But I always try to be pragmatic and truthful. I have a Citizen Chandler. The one that comes with the funky green strap with big metal holes. And two Seiko SNE 039. I think Teddy sells Seiko as well. You can beat these watches to death. I put the Citizen on a leather strap and actually play golf with it. About 5 seconds a month off. The Seiko SNE 039s. One on the bracelet that it came on the other on a NATO. The bracelet one looks new. The NATO one I wear working in utilities. It gets pounded, submerged filthy dirty shaken and anything else you can throw at it. 3 seconds a month fast. I don't have to baby these watches like the automatics. Do not have to won't about magnetism. Although still made, one of the SNE Seiko's is ten years old. I just save the automatics for when I am watching Teddy's videos. Then when I have to do something grab the Citizen Eco Drive or Seiko Solar.

I totally agree with you on the comment about having to Baby the automatic watches, I have a 2 Seiko autos they are constantly in the watch winders as I do not have the time or the inclination to keep correcting the time on them when I take them from the winders. A proper pain in the Arse to be honest I am thinking of selling them. As the are always losing time depending on how long they have been in the said winders, I won't be buying any more automatic watches thats a certainty.

How would yout "get" additional straps given the integral center link section that protrudes 3-4 mm from the side sections of the link where the spring bar is positioned - a well-known "con" for many Citizens sold with bracelets? Surely you "never need a new battery" because it has none -just needs a new capacitor after years of use.

I landscape with this exact watch. You’re going to beat the hell out of it but the crystal is lower than the bezel and that helps. The watches thin height also helps. Put it on a nato or a nice sturdy strap and enjoy. I’ve worked in Tudors, Seikos, G-Shocks, this is my favorite, it’s thin and featherlight.

I do love a good titanium sports watch but a pressed clasp for over $300 is a bit of a shame. The rest of the bracelet looks great as does the watch. I'm definitely a fan of the dial and Citizen as a whole. But the clasp could do with a little upgrade. Doesn't even need to be titanium. I've seen a few hybrid bracelets with a steal clasp that perfectly matches the titanium look. They really should have gone with that option instead of this. Fantastic review as always.
