She has a voice like a 1940s jazz singer, I think. So rich, though. She was one of the best. A real talent loss to us and a personal loss to those who loved her.

glad you mentioned "personal" loss. A lot of remarks are about the talent, but she was a person and had loved ones who think of that First.
Prince once said that Amy's 'Love is a losing game' was one of the best songs he had ever heard. I concur. I can only listen to it when in the right mood. It is so deep and profound that it can easily bring me down. It's both beautiful and gut wrenchingly sad. She was a legend in the truest sense and yet I don't think, even now, we fully understand what the world had and lost. Her talent was off the scale.

she loved the past iconic jazz singers and Tony Bennet was a favorite. He said she was the best he'd ever worked with. That's saying a lot.
She was so special, I just wish she had loved herself the way many of us did.
My late mother was in her 70’s when she loved her song Rehab, so that oughta tell you just how far Amy’s audience reached. She was 1 of a kind.

Aoleon * I don’t understand why her didn’t try harder to make her get help. I would have been in her face every chance I had. I had a family member who FINALLY got help after a lot of us not backing down.

You can die from the damage, even if you're not addicted anymore, Karen Carpenter was a prime example her organs were too damaged, doctors are still like cavemen ,still don't know how to treat someone whose organs have shrunk, because of weight loss, it also affects all the muscles and also the bones, they could also have osteoporosis if they don't get enough calcium, they should have just been given weight gain drinks.
The entire Back to Black album is fantastic. Amy was an absolute treasure.

Amy was the last musical artist I truly fell in love with. Her style, originality, blistering talent & pure soul was a breath of fresh air. "Love Is A Losing Game" is a heartbreak ballad for the century. The light that burns twice as bright lasts half as long. Rest in peace.

Amy was simply in a class of her own. The last album I bought and will probably buy. Told everyone Any was special.
One of the last artists who dont lean on autotune to sound good.
I cannot watch or listen to Amy now without tears in my eyes. Such a loss.

A sensitive soul who never wanted fame, just wanted to do her art, yet it was hoisted on her, and the poor thing could not deal with it... so sad
Amy Winehouse. Loved her. What a voice. Sadly died at 27. Was anti drugs and then met Blake a druggie. And that young lady fell in love deeply and Blake left her to go back to a previous love hence (Back to Black meaning Depression) and not only did he break her heart BUT she also got hooked on drugs. Look at her skinny tiny little thing. He went back and forth to her and she wrote songs about her pain. Rest in Peace Amy you truly are missed. To this day l still want to swoop you up in my arms and say NO MORE PAIN! Amazing voice!
Her and Adele just have that smooth smoky quality to their voice! So good to her Amy again! RIP
Its so sad she had such an amazing voice RIP Amy

Such a talent and such a tortured soul that succumbed to her struggle to escape her pain. Prayers for her soul.
She was such a talent with a unique voice. I always feel a sense of sadness when I hear this song as it’s like Amy’s sadness and vulnerability comes through this song. 😢😢

she wrote it and it was about her boyfriend leaving her to go back to his old girlfriend, which affected her badly. Then she was getting well known & paid and he came back to her. Lots of codependency between them. Sad. RIP

Amy was great & super unique & soulful. Loved her! This was a great showing of her talent 🖤
Loved your surprised reaction. She was amazing - gone way too young.
Another genius...what a voice...Amazing.
RIP Amy, British talent at its BEST! What a waste, gone too soon so young, miss ya Girl, love from London x
Such a talent so sad her addiction killed her

I've said at 27, it's not just addiction bizarrely mental health disorders start and a lot of suicides happen because of those disorders I would like to know why
Such talent. Such a loss. Poor Amy.
@TY I'm not a pop fan much, and I figured her a pop singer, until someone gave me a couple CDs. Her voice was just sick, it was so good.
Great reaction buddy. She Was a phenomenon. She sung that song at SXSW, which was (in my opinion) her best performance
What a simply awesome singer she was. Really, who could argue that she even came close to her talent top end limit? The sweet guitar player here is from her outstanding band. I hope they all landed on their feet in recent years and that we hear from them again as they were strong enough to complement any major talent in similar genres. Maybe even as headliners if there are enough like minded people with me.
Amy, you were a real North London girl. We love you. R.I.P.

I'd love to hear your reaction to Amy Winehouse's "Love Is a Losing Game". It is pure art. Thank you!
Her sound was so powerful❤
Such an amazing talent, gone too soon.
She was part of the 27 club. People who died at 27. Jimi Hendrix, Janice Joplin, Jim Morrison, Brian Jones who was a leader Rolling Stones, Kurt Cobain very sad they all died way too young.

Amy sure had an effect on people. She is missed.
Drug's and alcohol brought about her demise,so so sad she was such a talented singer.
Unique is her star quality
RIP Amy Winehouse. She was one of the good ones.
She was a real powerhouse but addiction took hold of her way too young I always wondered where her real raw talent (unlike so many people out there now) would have taken her.

Yes, she stylized those songs so differently. Part jazz, part other genre's. She had such control over her voice. It was all HER singing, too. She was also a very good jazz guitarist.
Eric Clampton " tears in heaven" is a great listen
Her music video of this is effective, too. She wrote this about her boyfriend (later husband) who left her and went back to his old girlfriend, which devastated her. She had this talent early on, just worked hard and made a style and delivery of her own.. Such voice control, just legendary singer. RIP
too intense and of a time. " We only said goodbye with words, I died a hundred times."
I love her acoustic versions and she sings her songs different all the time
Sad loss but has left a big impact on the world
I can relate to this song. This song made me cry hard recently because of something that happened in my personal life.

and those around her loved the person even more. I heard many say she was a sweet person in life. I know she did act out some near the end, but said she was a good person.
The most prolific singer in her short time ... she was a game changer that burned bright and fast. Gone too soon but we should never stop listening.
Effortless brilliance!
Everytime I hear her sing this song, I tear up. Why? because if one of your lines is 'life is like a pipe' then you're in a really bad place. That's so tragic and sad to me.
It's a crime that voice will never be live again
So lovely to see someone appreciate her talent. It’s a voice that touches my soul.
I love her music!! She sings from the soul, she feeling that! So much talented wasted! RIP Amy!! ❤️❤️
Never seen this live acoustic version of the track before, it's really fantastic, thanks for sharing this
Breaks my heart everytime
What a talent, she was. With, I believe, her best yet to come. The guitarist here was from her awesome band who I hope landed on their feet because they were headliners in my world even if in no one else's.
Your face said it all. Thanks
Great voice and yet again a sad loss at such a young age..If only..to have be a small voice in her ear saying Amy..clean up!!..but then even her Dad couldn't change her ways..many did try and all to no avail..the devil of drugs has such a horrible grip ..so very sad.. her biggest problem seemed to be alcohol. She actually was sober, then she drank again her last night and it poisoned her. Sad.
Sat hear listening with tears slowly rolling down my cheeks. Such a tragic loss :(
She was actually going to be making a bond soundtrack
Rest in peace Amy ..❤
LOVE HER! Plz do more ❤️❤️
Amy Winehouse ..another talent taken way way too soon! :( Ty, you gotta listen to her sing "Valerie" acoustic live version like this one.
If you like AMY, may you like also Paolo Nutini. Also great, great voice and he is really in to the music. A wonderful live singer.
Modern Renaissance Man She came to my country once, was so drunk she could hardly stand up, there were people making fun of her (wonder how they felt later on) but thankfully not everyone.

Was that the concert in RIO?? People say her people shouldn't have let her go and sing. I don't know if they could have stopped her, but they should have tried. She was so sad to watch. I would have felt that way had I been there. It's not kind to laugh at a person in that much pain. She medicated herself against her depression, sadness.
Once you go black.. RIP Amy
RIP to a great artist. Nice, different version with just her amazing voice & a guitar.
She reminds you of Andra Day(Rise Up) They all come from that Jazz. Blessed to have worked with Andra on her new album. I adore Amy so you’ll pick it up in our melodies and lyricism 🙏🏽
Amy talentosa 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽♥️
I miss her.
Love that you are the, once of the unafraid chennel of showing the truth
goosebumps
Even though Amy really didn´t make my type of music, I´m in awe of how fantastic of an artist she was. It´s rare to see such an authenthic singer with her musicality, feel and skill reach mainstream success, but she did.
Wow, forgot how good she sounded and how effortlessly she could sing .
Amy was a Unique and Great Styalist.

Check out her acoustic version of Valerie!
So lucky to have heard her live in Glasgow about 14 years ago . This vid really gets closest to how she sounded live at her early best.
Love her husky voice. A great loss to the industry.
Please react to more of her! That was amazing!
thx
No maybe you understand why I love her I’m in love and I only use your beautiful her soul voice her passion she is truly amazing vocal goddess when she passed it killed me it will never be no one like my queen

I think it's more a black depression, or emptiness.
I'm dissapointed it was the acoustic version. You should listen to the version with full instrumentals. No need for a video on it, just the full version adds more to the song for personal listening.
Rips the heart right out of your chest that one does. With her best yet to come as and still in front of her she was snatched away. Definition of a crying shame, I'd say.
Never thought I would see Amy Winehouse so thin she was so curvy
