Amy, I remember an interview from LONG ago. You were telling your kids you wouldn’t be “relevant” for long. Loving that you were VERY wrong!

Amy Grant ( Rich Mullins opener) was my first Christian concert. Ungaurded tour. I was invited by a church group in high school. I was a big fan of her music and I had all her cassettes up to that point and loved to listen to them as I painted. I wasn't even a Christian. Didn't even know what that meant actually. God had a plan for my life...Lead me On and Behind the Eyes are her 2 best works in my opinion. Gonna be cool spending eternity in Heaven with Amy.

I bought the Lead My On album in 1988 when it came out. I was 15 at the time. I had started listening to Amy Grant around this time around '87-'88. I heard her on the radio with Peter Cetera on "The Next Time I Fall". Then I bought Amy's "Unguarded" album. When "Lead Me On" came out I bought it immediately. To date it's still my favorite album. The lyrics are raw on some songs. it's a very intimate album and the songs all reflect what was probably going on with Amy's life. She's pregnant in one of the photos on the liner notes and even as a teenager I thought that was so sweet to mention that the album was for her son and that he'll hopefully understand what went into making the record. When 1974 starts off I was hooked. It's such a nice rhythm and instrumentation. Just a pulse and strumming. I love the bridge also for the song. Anyway, just my thoughts and recollections. 1988 was a great year for me as 15 year old.

Such a haunting melody...brings back vivid, wonderful memories of high school church camp. We'd sit around with our headphones, play our Amy Grant tapes, and sing our little hearts out. Thank you, Amy....

I’m gushing tears hearing this amazing sister and her story. And to top it off with 1974… praise God. I know she takes a lot of heat for some views but the force of her ministry is what is needed now more than ever.

Amy Grant.....an amazing, beautiful, wonderful and Godly woman whom I adore! Her music, yes but also the woman. The integrity and honesty she displays in her music and interviews is obvious. Her family life with Vince and her children shows her love not just for them but for all people. Again, I adore her ❤

I became a Christian in 1983 and...thank You Jesus...I haven't looked back. I know the day is young yet but GOD remains our Protection...here in England...wherever you are in the world...and we struggle on...through the pandemic...OUT of the pandemic...and hopefully not get run over by a bus. Good to read your comments. If I don't meet you soon I'll catch up with you later...with our Jesus. Big love to yuz... Celene Cranenburgh Xxx

When I was in high school, I was trying to figure out my faith. I was attending a retreat and someone was playing an Amy Grant’s Father’s Eyes record and I listened to it and it connected because you could tell she was our age and she let me know and that even the faithful still struggled at times. That gave me so much encouragement somehow.

Thank you so much my mother and I went to see Amy every year if she was close to us. My mother loved Amy Grant. Well, my mother passed away & this helps some of the grieving process. I must say this Christmas won't be the same at all. I can at least feel her memory through every song along with her beautiful Christmas music. We played Go rest high on that mountain at mom's funeral. Amy's husbands song the great Vince Gill. I am not able to go this Christmas and I am going to miss Amy & Michaels Christmas concert. I'm grateful Amy's heart surgery was a success because she is such an inspirational lady. Maybe I can afford her show next year close to Cleveland or Akron Ohio. In the mean time my daughter and I are enjoying Breath of Heaven to It's The most wonderful time of the year. God bless you!!!
