Among Large Rocks and Weaving Through the Trees | House of Stones

This house is located in Serra da Moeda, about thirty kilometers from Belo Horizonte, Brazil. Nestled within native Atlantic forest vegetation, the house utilizes the steeply sloped terrain to offer impressive mountain views.
Designed as a horizontal element, Casa das Pedras integrates into the natural environment, incorporating large rocks and trees. With two levels, the private spaces are on the upper floor, and the leisure areas are on the lower floor. The mixed concrete and steel structure allows for large openings, providing natural light and ventilation, enabling the family to enjoy the landscape and fresh mountain air.
