I grow Amla, as well as Henna, in my yard here in southern Florida. We eat Amla with lemon or lime daily for our intake of vitamin C. I powder it and use it in the hair. And I mix it with rhassoul clay and use it on my skin. It’s excellent for healing hyperpigmentation. I also add it to my henna treatments to bring down the coppery color of the henna, and to keep my curls in formation. Amla is a powerhouse! ❤❤

I absolutely love Amla! I use an Amla mask as a pre poo. I mix Amla, water, aloe vera powder, honey or agave nectar, & avocado oil. That mask leaves my hair soft, smooth, moisturized, and my curls have an insane amount of poppage...and that's before I even shampoo. Even after shampooing, my hair feels soft and smooth which allows me to skip deep conditioning if I'm feeling lazy, just a little bit of rinse out conditioner and my hair is ready for styling. I will forever use Amla, it is a must have.

Alma is helping me grow my temples back from a hormonal breaking due to menopause, it is also bringing my hair pattern back from henna straightening my hair. I am in love. I have always had it in my diys but the last 30 days I have been making amla the main star. Doing a pre poo with it and also as a mask. Working on making a salve with alma just working on the amounts and how much natural bees wax to get the consistency I am trying for.

Hello. Usually you ask the supplier and believe the Latin names might be slightly different. Just ask the supplier about which one they sell. We only carry true Amla gooseberry with one seed. True meaning true for hair use and benefits. The other one we believe is meant to be eaten. We hope this helps clarify!
