The African Union is less like the examples you gave of the USA or European Union and more like your comparison to a United Nations but for one continent.

I was wondering how long it would take for the western propagated bias to come in. It comes in at fact 16. One, EVERY NATION in history has colonized or attempted to colonize another or claim territory for itself. The only reason people don't talk about Africans doing it is because they comparatively had few empires and difficult to conquer territories populated by tribal peoples so it was harder for African empires to conquer the continent because of the terrain. Two, Europeans did 'stuff' there, but also rapidly developed the continent and as most of these Africans were jungle people, even without racism at the time, how could they be asked for input on how to build bridges or railways? That would be like asking a McDonald's employee how to build a passenger airplane, it makes no sense. How would jungle people know anything about that stuff? Even after all the modernization Europe did, Africa is still having trouble with these high-skill jobs because many of them are lazy, don't care or just don't have access to the necessary resources to learn because of a lack of resources, corrupt governments, poor infrastructure, education being unaffordable or not of high quality for the average citizen among other reasons. I am honestly getting sick and tired of this "exploited poor Africans" rhetoric when they were warring with each other long before any European showed up and loved to enslave each other and sell those slaves to foreign powers too. These videos should state FACTS and not push propaganda by purposely hiding or withholding details either because they are ignorant, want to push a narrative or want to pander to a certain audience, it is disgraceful. They need to stop pushing this idea that Africans were these peaceful people before the Europeans came just like they do with Native Americans because it is utter nonsense.
