The pigs don't spread radioactivity, the meat has just become inedible from the distorted mushrooms that have absorbed the radiation from the soil. That was one of the reasons why my father and I stopped looking for mushrooms and we gave up our garden for vegetables etc.

i really dont think with this frequency of incidents its fair anymore to talk about bad apples, it prevents an actual look at the problem. doesnt mean there arnt good police officers in the us but a few bad apples is but to minimize a clearly sistemic problem with the phrase a few bad apples is a very bad idea

I backpacked North America for 9 months. The reactions, you don't sound Australian, You talk too fast, and often not even understanding me at all. I have a general accent, did go to a boy's college and worked as a Park Ranger / public relations in our capitol city. In New Orleans, I brought a shirt from a touristy shop, they said, Y'all come back and see us now! I said okay. I did want something else. Next day I went in and they said, you came back, I said you told me too lol. Oh we just say that! I said see ya later as I was leaving and I was asked if I was coming back haha. We just say that to everyone!

There are differences, mainly in the vowels, with NZ and Oz (sometimes referred to as Strine) accents. Same way I can hear the difference between US and Canadian. It's mostly in the vowels. You get used to accents from abroad by watching foreign films or television shows. I watch more foreign films than American or British. There are so many accents in the US and I don't know enough to be able to pick out many of them. I mean Bronx, v Alabama, or Boston, sure, but there are so many I couldn't put an area to. In the UK we have hundreds!

There are many Australian accents, influenced by where you grew up, where you've been, the people you've been around. Stop trying to define everything.

There is a good reason the Australian transport industry is highly regulated: in 2022 deaths involving heavy transport in the USA was 5,100 & Oz was 163. That’s 148 more deaths in USA per million people. 7:23

Australians speak with a drunk English accent ...even most slang words are the same as English slang and we both use swear words and take the piss in everyday conversation...both Aussies and Brits love banter which Americans dont understand

  • @loadabollocks
    @loadabollocks5 сағат бұрын

Yes, and people's idea of our slang words is exaggerated, and I think a lot of Aussies put it on for tourists. For example, I don't know anyone that uses 'mate' or 'cobber' or any of that cliche stuff. I've never used it myself. Malcolm Fraser got a mention - he was schooled at Oxford so there'd be a huge influence there.

The 300 different types of bread is FALSE. it's based on a mistake from a YT video by Geography Now about Germany. According to the Central Association of German Bakers (Zentralverband des Deutschen Bäckerhandwerks), there are over 3200 (three thousand two hundred) different types of bread in Germany. That doesn't include all the different bread rolls.

Hmmm, it all depends how intelligent you are. Buy a water bottle... and you can refill that from any hotel/hostel etc. even a backyard with tap or any place in Australia..... our water is fantastic. Find the best local restaurant with whatever cuisine you want if you aren't an a 'elitist wanker'.... and you'll find great food at a reasonable cost. Same with accomodation. It truly does depend on how much of an elitist dickwad you are. A lot of Australians will also just invite you over for a meal, to 'crash' with them etc. As long as you could pay for a few groceries or whatever and don't have like fucking 30 min showers... you'll be welcome.

Everyone speaks about and travel to Copenhagen. It’s so bike friendly. Try to go to the least populated parts of Denmark. You will need a car! I can’t go anywhere without driving. The only bus that comes is the school bus. So in the weekend we need a car. I also can’t get public transport to work because of the working hours. 6-14 but if I want to bike so early in the morning it is 25 Kilometres.

I'm an Aussie in my mid 50s and I change my accent and vocabulary according to who I'm with or what I am doing. When I was a receptionist/secretary, I had the professional/posh voice.... when I'm with mates, I swear a lot and use a lot of aussie slang....when I'm out in public I just use a normal voice with not much swearing, a bit of slang but also not the professional voice...... I think a lot of Aussies do this :D

Acutully my opinion, the number one position goes both to Lea Salonga (Disney Princess) & Regine Velasquez (Asia’s song bird) Second spot goes to Charise Psmpengco she made it to the American high school musical “the Glee”. Third spot goes to Lanie Misalucha, she became a resident performer at the Flamingo Hotel/Casino in Las Vegas US.

Lea Salonga (Miss Saigon in Hollywood broadway show) & Regine Velasquez are the top ones. The song uploaded on this video for Regine who was chosen at the number 1 spot could have chosen the other performances of hers from 20 years ago because those are even better than what you saw on this video which will blow your mind.

I don’t think there’s a compilation of Pinoy male singers but I can recommend if you want to watch them individually: 1. Arnel Pineda - Filipino lead singer of the legendary American rock band, JOURNEY.- watch their world tour in Chile , Manila, or Europe between 2008-2010. 2. SB19- Gento, Ready (with Apl de Ap of Black Eyed Peas), I want you, Ilaw, moonlight , Bazinga 3. EZ Mill 4. Marcelino Pomoy 5. River Maya - listen to their songs: “214” and “If” 7. Gary Valenciano 8. Billy Crowford 9. Francis Magalona 10. Joey - Member of Side A band 11. Michael Pangolinan 12. Darren Espanto

the 4 wheel drive that is hacked up. in the outback you have to make do with what you have. so some of the most amazing bush mechanics are our first nation ppls. Don't have much money to buy a new vehicle so they just fix up a banger and keep it running. often with what ever is on the side of hte road. (saw one episode when they had a hole in the radiator, found a car battery that had been dumped and heated the lead up inside and used that to plug the radiator hole.) so seeing a vehicle like this wouldn't suprise me.

Looking for freedom by David Hasselhoff came out in 1989 and together with Wind of change by the Scorpions it became kind of the soundtrack to the reunification, which was a big historical and emotional thing. I think, that's why he's so well known here. Stranding on the Autobahn with an empty tank costs 70 € and one point in Flensburg. You keep your license. Oldest sausage kitchen and oldest brewery are both in Bavaria. That's where you wanna go. I mean, there may be one or two sights outside Bavaria, too, but we don't speak of that ;) Neuschwanstein is also in Bavaria, as is the Oktoberfest. But you said it wrong. You can't go to a real Oktoberfest, you just can go to THE Oktoberfest. There is only one. Don't listen to anyone telling different - especially outside Munich! Beauty surgery isn't covered by health care, because it's not for health, it's for beauty. Wild boars don't spread anything, but you can measure an encreased radiation. Same with mushrooms and deers. They save cesium 137 from Tschernobyl. But it's not allowed to sell anything with more than 600 becquerel and there are maps that show where the hotspots are. Kids and pregnant women are advised not to eat local mushrooms or meat there. That's why it's actually no big deal. Hunters hunt all the time, but you can't defeat radiation without extincting the animals, because every new generation eats stuff that contains new radiation. The half-life of cesium 137 is only 30 years, so by now half of it is gone. Measures in 2021 had 15,000 becquerel max, that means in 150 years nothing will be over the 600 becquerel limit. The Christkind (christ child) is actually displayed as a female blonde angel with long golden curly hair. We don't think of baby-Jesus. And we get presents on 24th eve. 25th and 26th are just for eating. And probably drinking. You HAVE to react to Dinner for one. It's not that long, but hilarious! And imagine watching it with 10 drunk party people xD Bride kidnapping is true. The groom has to drive to all bars and restaurants to find her. To get her released from her kidnappers he has to pay their bill. The more time he needs, the more expensive it gets. We're rounding time true just like in maths. So 0.5 goes up, anything below goes down. You can't be more precise. I'm watching from Germany. GEMA normally bans for example original music or movies, just like the YT algorithm would claim. I feel like there are too many spaces in english. Putting some stuff together gives more structure to a text and makes clearer how words are related to each other, so you can understand the meaning quicker even if reading a text for the first time. BUT you're asking, as if any of us would come up with a word like this. Nobody would. Such monsters only exist in company papers or law texts. Did you hear of that welsh town name? Here you go. They are worse by far! ;) Oh and btw there haven't been any steamboats on the danube for decades, maybe a century, so you know from when this term came.

For hundreds of years there was nothing like Germany. There were Saxons, Thuringians, Allemans, Bavarians and so on but no German state. The holy roman empire was the closest thing to a German state but in reality this was just a pretty loose connection. btw: You don't know Baywatch in the US? Huh, that's a surprise. And no, the Hoff is no big star in Germany (anymore) and him appearing in celebrity big brother proves it. ^^ Never heard of a Fanta cake or sugar free Haribos but yes, in some parts of Germany jam filled Donuts (without a hole tho) are known as Berliners. You can be named after a last name, when there are examples where this has been used as a first name before. So Spencer is no problem. Spencer Tracy i.e. is known in Germany as well.

Im slightly surprised by the attitude of, "thats the way it is in america" how would you feel if spence or daniel or q member of your family was seriously injured because someone was driving distracted, its illegal for a reason in europe its just plain common sense same as drink or drug driving but you wouldnt just accept that would you? Surely freedom of personal choice shouldnt come at the expense of other peoples saftey 🤷

You pay for the book material, the access to the driving schools study program online (if offers), a vision test, risk courses (ice/slip manouvre course where you'll get to experience losing control in a controlled environment and how to improve control), the driver instructors time per lesson and stuff like that. That's why it costs so much. But what you get is surely a much better foundation and sense of understanding than you get from an american driving school. Of course I'm sure there are places who are doing it more thoroughly like they generally do in Europe. I would assume the regular program in the US is like express programs in Europe. But I won't die on that hill, just my guess.
