My boss recently visited from Florida(April of 2024), all his remote workers (Me and my co-workers) are from the Philippines. He took us to Boracay for a 7-day trip. Rented a whole villa with 11 large bedrooms with individual baths and toilet, swimming pool, pool table, and overlooking the whole Island for 5,000USD. We had people cook, drive and clean for us. The American dollar can go a long way in our country. He always said, "Man, you food here is 1000x better than in the US. Starbucks in the States is 3x expensive, very watered down and it's like you're just drinking brown water. Life is better in the Philippines". He loved the vibe of the country and he said everything is so laid back. But there are down sides too, not everything is all rainbows and butterflies. I hope you guys can visit soon! Looking forward to more of your reactions :)

Yes, definitely our dollars go a very long way in the Philippines. But of course going out to fancy restaurants or even tourists spots will end up costing you pretty much the same in the US. But if you’re spontaneous and willing to try new things, check the locals and eat away from expensive upper class areas. I think this is obvious and it isn’t something that would take a genius to figure out. Please react to 2020 Philippines tourism ad to get a feel on what you can find in the Philippines. But if I’m not mistaken I think you guys reacted to that already.

The reason for 50% off on bakeries is that most Filipinos don't buy a days old bread. They prefer freshly baked bread.

Definitely true, everything in the Philippines is much cheaper compared to other countries, The best thing is that everybody is welcoming, even invite you to events and fiestas with unlimited food to eat and free at all, Thanks and God bless

In the Philippines, If someone wants to sue anyone, he must complain first in the Barrangay and the Chairman of the Barrangay must conduct a mediation 3 times before he issues a certificate to file action to the complainant. Upon securing a certificate to file action, that's the only time the complainant can sue in court.

The guy in white shirt comes across as defensive and offensive. His statement prior to watching the video already revealed his disagreement on the topic of the video. I thought I may only have that impression at the beginning because of the tone of his voice but his comments after each list just confirms my impression. He seemed offended by the topic. It's like saying " there 's no way a third world country can be better than his first world country". So whatever the two people in the video say, he will object/disagree or if he agrees, he will rationalize or simply belittle the reason why the Phillippines is better. He was listening to criticize a point, and not to understand or agree.

the 50% sale is not because of lack of preservatives of lack of storage, they do it because they assure you of freshly baked products in the morning. after you buy your product it can last up to a week.

Mga kabayan, the fact they are not addressing the issue we raised, it means they don't care and that we are right with our judgement or impression of them. . Good or bad interaction means views for them, which will translate to $. They could have easily negated what we said by saying we misunderstood or they are too proud to admit their negativity. I don't promote cancel culture but I don't support taking advantage of other people either. We should patronize genuine people. I discouraged them to come visit our country because they would just criticize and be miserable and unhappy with their visit. We know our flaws, in our government, our way of life etc. We are aware of our country's imperfections. Unlike them, they are too proud and superior!

You're Americans... come... feel free to call or contact your US Embassy stationed here in the Philippines as well as the Philippine Department of Tourism... so you could get some legit advisory... Then find a trustworthy locals currently living here to whom you could coordinate your plans.... I assure you that there are a lot of trustworthy KZreadrs that you can collaborate and also be your guide on your personal itineraries here in the Philippines 🇵🇭. And when you're here already.... don't be afraid to ask for help from Police or Security Guards... they'll be happy to help you if you approach them courteously. Respect begets respect.

It's not a city country thing. i have been to places and Filipinos are welcoming and respectful. That cannot be in other places. On "sue happy", his example was shallow but he also said it is ingrained in other cultural manifestations - we have a system that does not let you just sue immediately. We have small units thats grievances can be settled.

Actually, if Filipinos proved that you love the culture and the Philippines... At first, Filipinos will called you 'Sir'... Then, as you prove more love for them, they will call you, 'Kuya' (older brother) or 'Tito' (uncle)... If you prove more than more, they will call you, 'kumpare' or 'pare' (comrade, buddy). And, for the most, they will call you, 'idol' or 'lodi', 'lods'!!!

Hi guys.. I know they sound like America and Philippines has no difference.. City pipz or Country pipz.. just take a short vacation here, vlog at the same time.. you'll see what they mean.. 😉 They always say that we have beautiful beaches and pipz here are friendly, just experience it yourself to know we can offer more than those things.. OR make a video comparing what America does have that Philippines don't (or vice-versa) you can try checking this guy's vidz - Dean Hashim although there are a lot, but he does provide some good pointers.. 😊

If you don't agree with their thoughts then why don't you visit here and experience it for yourself. If you're saying our culture has similarity with your culture then why is it your people wanted to leave your country and chose our country to live in? Maybe I guess u should visit PH instead..

Mostly just the guy wearing the white shirt is so defensive. He had this stressed out look and a permanent frown on his face. It seems this is the 1st time they've seen a video of foreigners who are talking about how wonderful the Philippines is. There's literally hundreds of videos like this of people from the US & other countries saying the same thing. I'm not saying Philippines is the best country in the world & is perfect. No it's not, there's a lot of problems in PH, mostly stemming from govt corruption. But Filipinos are definitely one of the happiest, friendliest & most hospitable people in the world. Even tho there's a lot of poverty, they continue to smile, laugh, & are always grateful.

Fastfood restaurants are generally better since they can't imitate US fastfood chains that are considered quick cheap meals. If they do that in the Philippines they will never be able to compete with the carinderia stores around that already dominates that market.
