I think they follow the book to much and not flush out the characters enough.

My mom told me stories about heinzelmännchen ( hinzelmann) They finish your impossible tasks while you're asleep But the bad ones(if not satisfied with the offerings) would steal your kids Maybe the friendly shopkeeper has allison...

Re: belquist eating Sanders. Mr Nancy said only a goddess can sarcophagus a God. So I took it as she consumed a god and didn't realize it.

Yep, a sacrifice. God's require a sacrifice, that's why Lakeside is "prosperous" I remember Shadow moon falling asleep while reading article of missing boy....it could be the higher ups meet(town officials) deciding who gets sacrificed & when🤔

Well if she has anything to do with the old gods in any way, she wants to avoid detection by using digital cameras, I suspect.

Shadow has the gift of prophetic visions & dreams, that is what the show has been trying to depict

Since Laura Moon is clearly not remotely religious, why would she be in purgatory? In season 1 when she died she was judged by Anubis who has nothing to do with Catholicism nor purgatory.

Being that she's in purgatory with people of varied religions, it's evident religion doesn't affect your transition. You're probably of a Christian background and expect any non protestant to burn immediately postmortem but this series is a bit more objective

This EP wet way off book, with just a few tid bits here and there (Shadow reading the Lake Side news papers, but in the book, it was the towns counsel meeting minutes going back to the founding of Lakeside... which is rather important later). This EP felt more like a pause, and not really an advancement. Obviously setting up the next EP which should have more going on. Laura in purgatory is way, way, way off book.. So don't know the point of that really. I dig it though... Shadow having the hots for the land lady is way off book as well.. Later she's a romantic interest to someone else... and her young son is very young, and not a tween.. which is kinda sad, as Shadow had some fun moments with him in the book. That's not going to happen with an older kid.

So far new show runner ruined show. He did not like Mr. Nancy. Took story to the most white place ever. That cold town with nice whites who are not racist. Which is fine but also forgets the war story.
