Oh no, early Gen X at 30 had it WAY worse than their parents. Don't know where you got your data. My parents paid $16k for their first house. My dad made $12k. Mom worked part-time and made like $2k. They paid it off in less than 10 years. I made $28k at 30. My wife made $20k working full-time. A house was $160k easy. Those dynamics are coming back now, but the housing price surge of the early 80s HOSED us.

You only need to look at the year 1971! Things have just gradually gotten worse since then. The world will eventually come back to its senses and resume a Gold link to the monetary system because its economic Mother Nature, but the next decade will be very painful because the politicians will do anything to keep this game going to enrich themselves. 😡 even they know the end of the game is coming and that’s why world central banks are hoarding gold and we should do likewise instead of being in their stock casino.

The bad news of the day. But important point, it is less (or not only) the old against the young but more the rich against the poor. You can afford wars or living standards, not both.

@@ace9840 The national debt is just people's savings, why would that be a problem? Government bonds and dollars are two sides of the same coin, so if you're not worried about young people inheriting dollars, you shouldn't be worried about them inheriting bonds. The problem is local policies that criminalize dense housing. When you artificially limit supply by banning apartments and other forms of dense housing, young people won't have a hope of owning a home

Out of all the years I’ve spent studying the economy and discussing the economy with many people I’ve never heard anything as ridiculous as this: “The National Debt s just peoples savings” .. I'd sure like to know how you came up with that one? The real question is why have things like home prices, college tuition, healthcare all outpace the cost of inflation by hundreds of percent over the last few decades?

Good analysis except for the "sovietization" around 3:10 - the Soviet Union does not have much do with the current state of the US. A good analogy would be Russia (not the Soviet Union) in the 1990's but the difference is people there back then were not brain-washed with liberal and LBGT "values", one of the reason Russia survived that hard period and is on a positive path today.
