Because they can’t manipulate Bitcoin as they can and have fiat currency, even gold/silver. This is the reason for the massive push by ALL CBs in the world to replace physical fiat currency with CBDCs (i.e. credits), which can and will be manipulated in whatever way they want in order to retain their wealth, power, and control - over every nation on the planet.
The Dollar has lost 18,9% this year alone (since the 1st of January) against Gold. Which world are you living in Peter?
The Dollar lost s third of its value since the 80's? What? The Dollar high was 850$ for an Ounce of Gold...now it is 2.400$ for an Ounce. Only a Professor is able to make 30% loss of Value of that.
Have you read Keynes 1933 letter to FDR that was posted at that time in the New York Times? If so what are your thoughts on it?
If ever there were ever a cast-iron advertisement for owning Bitcoin, surely this was it.

The fact that another country can steal reserves from another country, plus the fact that our politicians or central bankers will not stop money printing, maybe opting into a permissionless system with a finite supply and it's issuance is scheduled, is a good idea.

Not saying it won't happen, but I bought years ago and there was a quick run and then correction right back to where it was. If you buy physical silver, it's at a premium and anyone willing to buy it from you will offer a few dollars under spot.

Yes you can take your gold coins and shave off a few gold shavings when it’s time to buy gas and food, or if you need to convert gold into money your wife or daughter can jingle into the city to meet the coin dealer and hopefully they will convert the gold for her into money for groceries. Or maybe just store your gold at home and pray you don’t get armed men in your house at nighttime. Or you could just get some bitcoin and store it in a cold wallet. Gold is stupid.
