They are very independent, smart and strong-willed. Definitely not or the first-time dog owner. But show an Akita love and it will take a bullet for you 🐾

Sergio Muñiz if you want an akita, the best you can do is be sure that is a life contract and not that you give up even though sometimes education on an akita is like trying to educate a spoiled child. they are stubborn, proud and independent, they don t allways come if you call them...usually I don t recommend akita as first dog for anyone - they are big, and if not trained and socialised they might became agressive with other pets and also with people. If you have more questions....

I have 2 male American akita and a female Japanese akita my female is a little aggressive towards other dogs and she has been socialized with other dogs her whole life but remains very very protective my male is the coolest dog I have ever owned he's a big big boy and very powerful I won't own another breed of dog after having these dogs.

I am wanting to purchase an American akita but my local breeder told me the he o oh had puppies from an American akita and an akita inu. Because I am new to this type of breed I wanted to ask around before purchasing the puppy.

luis gonzalez , it s forbidden to mixbreed the american and japanese akita. You will obtain crossbreed puppies, that as an adoptive parent you can find in any shelter. So, don t do that!

luis gonzalez do your research. an "American Akita" is just a mixed breed with a bit of an Akita anyways so it doesn't really matter because you still won't actually have an Akita.

Izzy Miller , many persons asked about the fact that the father was separate from his kids. He is a very well trained dog, socialised, as they can see in the other videos posted on the same account. He had at that time a healt issue and was under treatment, that s why he was kind of isolated. Was nothing contageous, fortunately !

scriban ARG it's not necessarily that they're dodgy, they're very wary of strangers and generally don't get along with dogs of the same sex because of being guard dogs by breed and dominant

hello i have a 48 day american akita she raised her ears at 38 days and after 7 days they fell again will she get up does anyone know the answer? otherwise the dog is progressing well eating well and I have no health problem thanks!

Hi! You don t need to panick. First of all, she was way to early separated from her mother and siblings. Stress and anxiety may have caused flopping ears. Be careful with what she eats ( super premium food) and with suppliments ( calcium and salmon oil). If the ears don t came back in ppsition till she s about 4 months old, than you need the advise of a veterinarian who knows the breed. Good luck with the pup! Gave her the opportunity to socialize and educate her. I could never let go to our puppies to their new families till they were 10 weeks old 😞

@@tabooamourkennel1547 Thank you very much I will do as you told me he probably experienced stress it is 100% I see that he is withdrawn and as far as food is concerned I feed him as the vet told me not the best food but some solid so from these rates I go to buy him the best food there is . puteti, de asemenea, sa vizitati pagina de fb a crescatoriei Taboo Amour. Acolo veti gasi detalii despre noi, despre parintii puilor etc. Pentru a face o rezervare, o sa va rog sa ma contactati pentru a raspunde la cateva intrebari si a completa un contract. Va multumesc!

there is no such thing as an American Akita. it's an Akita mixed with something else whether it be German shepherd or something else.

There are 2 recognized breeds of Akita.American and Japanese.There are vids on yt which will teach you the diffs between the two.
