Movie going experience is a lot different now with online ticket ordering and reserved seating. With purchasing your tickets online and just picking them up at the kiosk you no longer have to wait in line to get your tickets. And reserved seating makes a huge difference on big opening weekends for movies like Star Wars for example. You no longer have to get to the theater more than an hour in advance and wait in a line before you even go into the theater just so that you can get a good seat. You had to wait in the line and then basically run to a quality seat and then you still had to wait 30 minutes for the showtime to start(then 20 minutes of commericals and trailers after that). Now you can show up whenever you want and know your seat is going to be waiting for you.

Yeppp for those and we had student discounts so we checked school IDs as well.
I've seen the guy somewhere like he hosted a show or something. I know their theaters now are pretty crappy at least the one in Newport Kentucky. They made sure there was a even spread of popcorn all over the ground before the movie started and the person sweeping up the popcorn was more so symbolically sweeping.

Wish I was a teen/adult in the 90s or early 2000s just so I knew how it felt to work at a movie theater at the time. 😁

Did they suggest that employees should take speed before their shift to improve their performance?!
Speed with Sandra Bullock?? Love this

Hi I have some of the other videos that were produced by the national association of theatre owners that were in the same theater but unfortunately after I uploaded them to youtube the company took them down due to copyright
Wait i worked at AMC in 97, lmao i don’t remember this training video.
Did that theatre ever show the movie about the bus that was speeding around the city and if its speed dropped below a certain speed it would blow up? I think it was called 'The Bus That Could'nt Slow Down".
Next time on Blind Date!

They forgot about how to deal with complaints, especially if someone is talking and someone comes up to you and says that person is talking loudly and such and being a nuisance
Remember going to a Movie??? I wonder if we will ever do this normally again. I don't certainly feel comfortable
I miss those ushers
Little did they know that in 20 years movie theaters will be slowly going out of business at a higher rate than any other business. Why should anyone pay $20 to watch a movie once and having to endure some jerk who kicks your seats and constantly makes noises?

Because films take a lot of money and dedication to make. Also, theaters are still very popular, they're more relevant than tv nowadays surprisingly. Sorry you've had expirirences like that lol that's never happened in the theaters I go to.

I always get weirded out when workers call be by my name or when customers do the same
Working at a theater you want to weasel your way to being a ticket seller, it's way less work than consession/usher
