    @@penelopelopez8296 To do it period, is crazy. What exactly did she or her lawyers think when they suggested to cross examine this man. Clearly Depp's lawyers handled the situation, no further questions were needed. Heard's lawyers made it worse by their cross, having him go into detail about the lack of chemistry? He pretty much told the jury, it took a crap load of editing to create the chemistry you see on screen. That comment was more props to the editing team than Amber or Jason. What where they thinking?? He spoke to everyone in that court room about what issues they (everyone that had a hand in the decision making) had with their on screen dynamic. For Amber to sit on the stand, and say it was because of Johnny, her role was reduced, she was let go, and did not get a raise for her part in Aquaman 2 was absolutely stupid on her part. Of course Johnny's team would ask that person in charge of all of these decisions she was speaking on, if he would testify to see if what she said was true. It completely backfired, and now everyone's first hand, from the man himself. The President of WB/DC Movie just blacklisted Amber Heard on national TV.

    @@Noblesse_Azul Not trying to be cruel, but it's true. When Johnny's team questioned him, he pretty much answered "yes" or "no" he didn't really go into detail. Which would have been fine had Amber's team not cross examine him. For me that was a huge mistake on their part. With his detailed account of, what you saw in front of you was all done through editing, is BAD! Anyone in the movie world knows the editing process is long and tedious and the more editing you have to do, the more it cost. So just to make on screen chemistry work, let alone the movie itself, says a lot! He also said " You know when someone comes in they have "it" and she didn't have it" meaning the "It factor" Plus they (decision heads) thought to re-cast her for Aquaman 2 because of the non existing chemistry w/ the lead after the first movie. Either her lawyers were not listening, or thought they could get him to incriminate Johnny in some way, but it totally did the opposite and made her look worse than before. In my opinion they should not have cross examined him and left it as "No further questions" that at least would have just stated that Johnny had no part in her reduced role in Aquaman 2. All the extra from Heard's lawyer was extremely damaging to her acting career, forget the case, her career.

    @William Hall I agree that blind support can cause cases like this one where a man is (mostly, he wasn't a saint either, but not to the degree Heard and co are accusing he was) falsely accused of being a horrible abuser. However I wouldn't throw out statistics like only 1% of men will behave in such way, because then, how come 97% of women have been abused by a man? I'd argue that society has a huge role on how men are brought up and how eventually they do horrible things; tbh men are also victims of patriarchal teachings and misogyny, but I don't think that 1% is accurate at all

  • @eshbena

    @eshbena

    2 жыл бұрын

    @William Hall 35.6% of women and 28.5 percent of men are victims of domestic abuse in the US. That's one in three women and one in four men. It's not 1% of men abusing the women in their lives, it's 35.6 percent. 45% of women murdered are killed by their DPs whereas only 4.9% of men murdered were killed by their DP. Don't think that Amber being a liar means that this crap isn't a serious problem. Women were quick to believe in the Me Too movement because that's our lived experience. Every single one of us has been catcalled, manhandled, assaulted, grabbed, screamed at, etc. over the course of our lives. One third of all women in the US have been sexually assaulted. So, don't let her being a liar mean that you can let all men off the hook, feel great about the way things are right now, and not bother to call out your male friends for their poor behavior. Stopping the people around you from acting badly may very well save a woman's life.

    What amazed me, was that Amber's lawyer claimed she was involved with over 50 projects. I mean WTF, 50? A bit role in Zombie Land,dead in the first 15mins. Drive Angry, which she played a bit side character, and probably her biggest part up to that date. Aquaman, playing another side character, and wasn't exceptionally notable. And I think she was in some TV show, but I never watched it, it didn't interest me. So what the hell was the other 46+ projects she was in. That clearly made no impact on her stardom pathway. In Hollywood there are thousands of blonde actresses. With no discernable talents, she is interchangeable with any of them. We all know that her marriage to Depp got her consideration for the role. Otherwise, why cast her? And I like how her defense skirted the petition for her removal by the public, with over 2 million signatures. Mine included. They knew this was a dead horse, they were just hoping there would be some open ended connection the could infer to Depp. Amber jumped at opportunities as they appeared in front of her. And the Woke UCLA dangled a lucrative opportunity, and she jumped for it. As a vindictive way of hurting Depp. Which is what this about. She thought she could end him. But he is an A list star, while she is a wannabe nothing. The public stigma hurt Depp in the beginning, but as facts and truth started coming out. Everyone move to his side. This is absolute vindication for Depp. Win or lose, he has the support of the public and Hollywood. Those Woke members of Hollywood are being removed now. Putting Depp back in his rightful place. But the stain Amber caused will end her career. Now she will have to deal with Australia. Don't see that going any better. Especially if she loses this case. How do you hire better lawyers when you're flat broke. Dude, Amber's getting a cell down under. And not a butt dial from a phone.

    Omgosh she has now officially ruined herself! Warner Bros specifically asked her NOT to mention Aquaman/A2, Momoa, Warner Bros, any of the Directors/Producers, Executives at WB, and she agreed, but she chose to try and go after $100Mil in this lawsuit and to come to that amount for damages she had to bring up WB and Aquaman etc in order to grasp at straws for defamation and show that she suffered something damaging financially! All she had to do was go through the trial, defend against what Depp was accusing, and leave her career, studios, costars, films OUT OF IT!! I mean don’t get me wrong, I don’t believe a damned thing she says, her acting has always been well below mediocre, she is not someone who will be Iconic or ever be a Star in the ways Johnny is, because he has the “IT factor” and she simply does not have that. I’m just saying for her, who she knows is guilty of Physical and Verbal abuses, knows her career at her age of approaching 40 is not anywhere near where it should be for someone who is going to experience a “meteoric rise” like her witness tried to claim, no it’s not happening, but she could’ve gotten by in smaller films, made decent money, picked up some more spokesmodel contracts for beauty products or whatever… but I think that’s over now, the Entertainment business is notoriously vengeful when it comes to their actors dragging major films not yet released, their names through drama and litigations, nobody will touch her now, they know she’s unhinged and makes trouble wherever she goes and no company wants their films or products attached to a person with all this bad press, public outrage, and reputation. Which is exactly why AH made those false allegations about Depp, she knew even a HINT that he was abusive would take down one of the biggest names and most talented actors of my lifetime, she meant to utterly decimate him, and I’m so glad he is standing up and exposing her.

He doesn't *have* to make up chemistry, he lives it. On one hand his performances are always killer, on the other he leaves his heart wide open as a policy. It's gotta hurt bad, over and over again.

    Jason Mamoa’s testimony is my favorite from Johnny Depp’s witnesses, tied with Kate Moss. Jason made me guffaw loudly, and Kate Moss just made me admire her more than ever, and she was the perfect woman to show exactly how trashy Amber is by contrast. She is the very definition of “Class” and grace. If I were a bettin’ Grammy, I would say Amber was probably kicking herself for mentioning a certain stair-pushin’ incident! She is just so deluded by her own narcissistic narrative, she just can’t separate fact from the fiction produced in her own head.

    The funny thing is I remember watching Aquaman and had no idea who AH was nor that she was married to JD and I remember thinking she sucks as an actress and that there wasn't any chemistry in the movie and now it's 100% because of JD that she got that gig. Compare the chemistry b/w Jason and AH and Brad Pitt and Angelina in Mr. and Mrs. Smith

    I agree with your assessment Amber Hearsay however, her role in Aquaman was hardly minor. Michael Beach, Manta's Father, played a minor role. She was lead supporting actress. Which is exactly why post production was so difficult to get thru and give the appearance she and Jason had chemistry. Just sayin'.

    I think she did not realize these people would be watching or at least spreadib whatever she said and that either the parties would volunteer to testify against her or Depp's legal terms would reach out and use them. Like they did not think about this well. Every person she mentioned the make up kit, Kate Moss, someone from the Aquaman production, would come and be like alright I'ma testify now since she brought us up or her lawyers did and her response was false.

    honesetly...at this point regardless of the outcome, Heard's career is done for. the way that she "accidentally" threw so many people under the bus and burnt so many bridges just so she can make her lie a bit of more plausible is absurdly damning. even if she wins this lawsuit by some miracle, no one in the industry would wanna touch her again, not any big project at least.

    @@deadlyydude5522 I consider this justice not cancel culture because it's based on facts and evidence. Cancel culture relies on accusations, particularly through social media and has been weaponised to destroy people's careers, regardless of innocence. In the public realm if you get targeted then you're done for and no matter what you say, you will be drowned out by public opinion while at least in court you have a chance prove yourself. We are not supporting Amber BECAUSE her actions and statements were proven to be false so far in court. Her actions and statements WERE initially supported when she decided to make them on a public platform such as twitter which is what cancel culture is, hence why I support justice not cancel culture. Also I'm not American nor did I get into this having bias for one side or another (obviously I do now considering the things everyone's learnt so far). You also mentioned political affiliations and challenging beliefs but that would be ironic considering I'm from one of the most politically correct countries in the world with mostly "liberal" ideologies and policies, all our mainstream media is pro Amber too just so you know. TLDR: I don't support cancel culture because you are considered guilty with now way to prove innocence while in court you are innocent until proven guilty. There's a BIG difference there.

    We were in a huge mall near the Chicago airport, just killing time, and they were screening Aquaman. We thought, "Why not?" They gave us forms to fill out, which asked personal questions. When we turned ours in, they were scored and we were not allowed to screen the film, because they said we had too much education. Too bad, because it would've helped pass a 5-hour layover in Chi-town.
