World's biggest lake? What have you done when other kids been to school? Caspian, Superior, Victoria, Michigan, Huron, Tanganyika, Baikal, Great Bear...all are bigger.

Stockholm-Addis Abeba-Lilongwe by Ethiopia Airlines.In Lilongwe you must rent a car.Beach is cape maclear.Its take about 5 h by car.

I drank the water directly from Lake Malawi for a month and never got Bilharzia.

I camped on that beach for a week and swam in the lake and never saw one croc. Pleanty of fish, though, and fish-eating eagles.

It's very rare to find crocodiles, but they are there. More especially if there's a river which runs into the lake.

Biggest lake ??? I don't think so. The biggest lake in the world (saltwater or freshwater) in terms of surface area is the Caspian Sea. The largest freshwater lake in terms of surface area is Lake Superior. The largest freshwater lake in terms of volume is Lake Baikal and it is also the deepest and the oldest. Lake Malawi has impressive dimensions though. It is second deepest lake in Africa after Lake Tanganyika and the third largest lake in area in Africa after Lake Victoria and Tanganyika.

Maybe the locals feed them with cheap stuff to make that many stay there? So that tourists can do this. But I agree, though maybe it's not the majority of their diet even when fed like this

A little bread here a little bread there... Malawi is a popular tourist attraction. It adds up, and WHEAT is bad for mbuna. They have trouble dogesting too much.
