good job! I think that if every teacher taught from the first lesson with this information, we wouldn't spend our whole lives trying to correct mistakes and make compensatory adjustments. They would all learn faster and better..

Thanks Shawn and Sav , I have a strong grip and forward press / shaft lean like Sav but have always tried to change it to be a little more like everyone else but keep coming back because it works. I will stick with it and hope to see more video's of Sav.👍👍

I tried a strong grip and practiced a lot (many years) on the driving range. Best grip for me (and probably many others) still is the neutral grip. With a strong grip my ballflight becomes inconsistent, resulting in quite few hooks. On the course of my country club this means you get close to the woods or OOB. Nothing is wrong with a neural grip.

Nothing wrong with that if you are releasing through the ball and into the direction you want to start it! For the ones who slice and have issues with lack of distance, which is a huge chunk of the golf population, we have videos like this! 😝😀👍

@@golflessons thanks for the feedback. I love your analogy of throwing the club torwards the target. The firmer grip for longer distance which you are promoting is very helpful as well.

You guys are consistently topping your last video with more brilliant additions. Just tried this forward-press idea into my net, and now wondering if Wilson Staff has a replacement policy for wearing out the center of the club face. ;>) Truly an amazing difference with this technique. I think this was my missing link. Going to try driver next inside screen round for numbers. Again, just a really great and complete lesson Sav and Shawn. Thanks!

You make it loo so easy Shawn. I still have your 2013 DVD on the shelf. Yet I still shoot in the mid 90's and rarely drive it more than 225. I just can't seem to make it work. But heck, having fun playing the best game on the planet.

@@golflessons im hopeless. I've had at least three in-person lessons with you when you were at Richmond hill. Including you I've seen at least four instructors since I took up golf again in 2004 . I just watched a lot of KZread and try to improve by trial and error. I know more about the golf swing than most people. I know what to do I just can't donit consistently.

Shawn, i seem to be having some trouble with pushing/ over hooking the ball with a strong grip like that with my driver. I followed your videos on throwing the club towars target, and everything seems to be working their. I am squared at address with strong grip, and an angle of attack of 14 to 16 degrees. But the ball continues to shoot to the left. I love the comfort and the ease of the swing you teach, but it's very inconsistent for me.

Hey Joe! Going straight left or hooking too much left? If the flight is pretty straight, see “pulling shots left shawn clement” and if too much draw, and YOU CAN CONFIRM THE SPEED WAS WELL PAST THE BALL and into the direction of flight, just backoff the grip-club relationship until it flies the way you want. See “predict perfect contact and direction shawn clement” for that. On our premium channel, you will find more in detail videos for this with “alignment reload”, “the goldilocks series”, the “fade fine tuning” and “draw fine tuning” videos and the “how to match backswing to ball direction” video.

I am left handed playing golf right handed. I started in golf as a caddie many moons ago and one of the guys I caddied for gave me a set of clubs. Back in those days left handed clubs were almost nonexistent and of course the clubs I was given were right handed. Anyway I use a fairly strong grip. However when I put my right hand on I find I need to keep the index finger pretty soft. If I have any pressure against the grip with this finger, most often I will hit the ball hard to the left. Do you know what would cause this?
