Spectacular takedown by the Island female. She was so fast and the Impala died quickly which is always a blessing. Her cub has really grown too and it was a beautiful reunion. Thanks guys.

"Died quickly" How do you know that ? There's still something like editing ? 1:25 it's for certain that the impala wasn't dead 2 seconds later. Sorry for being a nag .

@@PAULLONDEN Leopards usually always go for the neck area, cutting off the breathing passage and any cries that could attract other predators. They hunt alone and need to do this quickly. You can see in the video that her takedown was perfect, fast and accurate. They vary rarely carry a struggling animal, they make sure it is dead before releasing the strangle hold. If you watch the slo mo again, you will see. As for editing, you should maybe check with the video uploaders EDIT It would have taken more than two seconds for the Impala to die but still a blessed and quick death as compared to some other animals.

Island female kill was classic --- she went straight for the air pipe of the impala. I was wondering whether she would be able to keep her kill. The leopards are beautiful --- as are the elephants (always peaceful, except when on a rampage).

Looks like another pregnant quarry that was too slow ? Herd instinct wasn't in favour of the prey this time . Following the fleeing impalas in the wrong direction into the leopard claws . Fascinating how the elephants were silently evaluating the situation .
