Well. As someone who has seen first hand how this is made. Deep sea water usually means water pumped from a depth of 200 meters below the surface of the sea. The salt content depending on location is usually less salty and has a higher mineral content. The fish is commonly used is polok or other white fish mixed with egg whites and and a starch like rice flour. The between 1 and 3 percent crab meat. The eggs are usually the highest content. Really clean factory.

@@rayray8687 you're getting some bad crabs the blue crabs here in Maryland are full of meat, plus I think they taste better than some of the bigger species but I might be biased lol growing up catching and eating crabs, it's not just the quantity but the quality sitting around a table with friends and family outside, newspaper lining the table a cold beer and a mountain of crabs, doesn't get better, as for price yeah they can be steep but if you buy from local crabbers it's much cheaper, free if you catch em yourself which is a lot of fun, a pack of chicken necks some strong string and a wire net is all you need.

@@bug3518: You’re right. In my area the crabs that are always available are King Crabs in 3 grades - regular, jumbo and colossal. Only the legs are sold because apparently there’s pretty much nothing in the body. The small clusters are usually sold frozen at $30/lb and there is virtually nothing in them. The jumbo are $70/lb and the colossal - the only ones worth the bother - are $90/lb. To make a nice meal for yourself, your partner and 2 guests you need about 8 lbs of these things to get maybe 3 lbs of meat. The total cost with a couple of bottles of half decent wine and a side of coleslaw runs a bit under $800.00. I’m a light eater and I could easily consume $150 worth of crab legs and still have a burger and fries after, lol. Btw, I’ve never seen a blue crab even though I lived on the Atlantic coast for a number of years.

@@analeecedurant3895 Surimi, Alaskan Pollock fish paste. From Wikipedia: Surimi (Japanese: 擂り身 / すり身, "ground meat") is a paste made from fish or other meat. The term can also refer to a number of East Asian foods that use that paste as their primary ingredient. It is available in many shapes, forms, and textures, and is often used to mimic the texture and color of the meat of lobster, crab, grilled Japanese eel or shellfish. The most common surimi product in the Western market is imitation crab meat. Such a product often is sold as krab, imitation crab and mock crab in the United States, and as seafood sticks, crab sticks, fish sticks, seafood highlighter or seafood extender in Commonwealth nations. In Britain, the product is sometimes known as seafood sticks to avoid breaking Trading Standards rules on false advertising.

Pollack was deboned and flayed, then it goes into a grinder and mixed with powdered milk, and other things. Then it goes into a screw press and it slowly pressed. Very little is left of the pollack persay, it mostly just fish protein by the te it's frozen into graded blocks. I used to load the freezer on the boat that made Surimi. Every 30 minutes I would load/unload a freezer up with 180 bags color coded bags of that stuff, every 6 hours for days
