I can’t wait to get out there. Great video
Nice Work !!
Great job buddy glad to see you out there. That’s nice day lol get home early 👌🏼
Killed it bro! I like the split screen editing 👍🏼 Definitely trying the pitbull rigs
It’s interesting to watch how you catch halibut differently in San Francisco than we do in Alaska. In Alaska we fishing 100ft to like around 200ft or more of water and we jig instead of trolling

You guys have a different species of halibut up there. They have very different ecology.

They are actually similar in that they are being overfished and depleted due lack of competent management.

Getting the new boat back at the end of this week. Thanks for watching
Too funny, I had just got a pair of those shoes a few days ago!
Nice video Chris
It's ibut time!
I’m liking those boots you’re promoting. It’s like wearing water proof sneakers 👟 Hopefully they have my monster size foot 🦶 Cool 😎
Dang Chris bout time thanks for the video bro
Nice
Ewe should use elasticated thread to wrap the bait ,keeps it on the hook rig 🐟😎
It’s on! So pumped for springtime Halibut in the Bay. Thanks for posting. Your videos are always motivating for me. Btw, any hints as to where you were fishing in this video? Thanks! CH
Nice job! Jealous that you guys are already getting them down there. Im up in Eureka and were not even close.
That new boat needs blood on the deck. Cant wait to see it on the water.
Awesome action early morning. What size hook do you use for the anchovies/herring set up?
where in the Bay are they biting? Glad to see you back
Welcome back that looks like a one pound weight correct me if I’m wrong thanks again for sharing
The 8" dodgers work much better then a hoochie with a double treble hook with a bait. I commercial fish halibut in so cal and we do very well with that setup.

i agree it works very well. I did a video last summer doing that in Monterey Bay. But does it work better in San Francisco Bay were there are no squid. I will put it to the test soon. hard to argue with the results in this video though. Thanks for watching
Where in the bay? I was down at Oyster Point yesterday and only got one trolling in 5 hours with anchovies on the outgoing tide too.
Sweeeeeet
Kevin??..you didn't get any new shoes 😂😂..Damn Chris....😢😂😂😂.

you know whats funny, i got a pair for eric. We were supposed to do the video on erics boat. But we could never find a day for both our schedules. Kevin didnt fit a size 13.
Commenting @4:16. I'll guess herring and a flasher for first fish.
Since the weight comes first, I always feel I'm going to bonk the Halibut when bouncing the bottom before he has a chance to see the bait ? Don't know if that really happens.
👀🔥👍🏾✌🏾💯
Hey brother long time subscriber here, love your content. Question, how long is the line for your weight and how long is the leader line. I'm going out for halibut Saturday morning.
@ChrisPfish2

weight about 12 inches. back to bait go as long as your comfortable with. so 4-8ft. but go as long as you can. Too long makes it hard to net fish. Thanks for watching

Have you ever tried an x-rap Magnum it dives 20 to 25 feet trolled at 4 to 6 kn they probably look better than the spinning sardine you have there.
@suckafish2811

yeah doesnt seem they liked the frozen bait presentation... and 4 to 6 knots. thats really fast trolling for cali hali.
@ChrisPfish2

No i have not. That day I was trolling about 1-2 mile per hour. You didnt think the baits looked good in the water when I showed them? I thought they looked great and hard to beat the real scent. Thanks for watching

didnt i real in #2 & #3. Yellow shirt got #1 & #4. and like other person said. there is boat limit. so you can keep 2 halibut per licensed fisherman onboard. Someone could bring in 4.

I dont know that but fishing game told me not to fish any more when I got limit (2) and my partner only got one.. Just wonder on boat is different than in shore..
Good guess, but not a keep.
