I got to ride in the US police car. I couldn’t find the car at my college parking lot, got so scared, went to the police stationed at college. They calmed me and one officer drove me around the college and spotted my car. That was a very good experience especially as someone who was new to the college.

@Ameya Anu എല്ലാ പോലീസ് സേനകളിലും നല്ലതും ചീത്തയുമായവരുണ്ട്. അമേരിക്കയിലെ കറുത്ത വർഗ്ഗക്കാരോട് വെള്ളക്കാരായ പോലീസുകാർ വിവേചനം കാണിക്കാറുണ്ടെന്നത് പകൽ പോലെ സത്യമാണ്. സൗദി പോലീസിൽ നിന്ന് നല്ല ഒരു അനുഭവം എനിക്കുണ്ടായിട്ടുണ്ട്. റിയാദ് എയർപോർട്ടിൽ നിന്നും ഞാനും ഒരു സുഹൃത്തും കൂടി ഒരു സൗദി പൗരൻ്റെ ടാക്സിയിൽ ബസ്റ്റാൻ്റിലേക്കുള്ള യാത്രക്കിടയിൽ പകുതി ദൂരം കഴിഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ അയാൾ പറഞ്ഞുറപ്പിച്ചി തിനേക്കാൾ ടാക്സി കൂലി ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടു. തരാൻ കഴിയില്ലെന്ന് പറഞ്ഞ ഞങ്ങളെ അവൻ വണ്ടി നിർത്തി അവിടെ ഇറങ്ങാൻ ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടു. ലഗേജും വലിച്ചു വെളിയിലിട്ടു.ഞങ്ങളും അവനുമായി ഉന്തും തള്ളുമായി .ഈ സമയം ഒരു പോലീസ് വാഹനം ഞങ്ങൾക്കരികിൽ വന്ന് നിന്നു. പോലീസിനെ കണ്ടതും ടാക്സിക്കാരൻ വണ്ടിയിൽ ചാടിക്കയറി വേഗത്തിൽ ഓടിച്ചു പോയി.പോലീസുകാർ ഞങ്ങളോട് കാരണമന്വേഷിക്കുകയും അയാൾക്ക് വേണ്ടി ഞങ്ങളോട് സോറി പറയുകയും പോലീസ് വാഹനത്തിൽ തന്നെ ഞങ്ങളെ ബസ്റ്റാൻ്റിലെത്തിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു.

Somebody said , " every country gets the government it deserves". Here in India, people are interested in disobeying rules. So the police has to deal it the hard way. I especially feel awed by the driving etiquette of people even in poor SEA countries. Discipline has nothing to do with financial richness.

ഈ crime rate കൂടുന്നത് ശരിക്കും നല്ല കാര്യം ആയിട്ടാണോ consider ചെയ്യുന്നത്.. Crime നടക്കുമ്പോൾ അത് report ചെയ്യപെടുന്നത് കൊണ്ടാണ് crime rate കൂടുന്നത്, അതെ സമയം ഭാക്കി ഉള്ള നാടുകളിൽ അത് റിപ്പോർട്ട്‌ ചെയ്യപ്പെടുന്നില്ല so crime rate കുറഞ് ഇരിക്കുന്നു.. ഇന്ത്യയിൽ തന്നെ ഏറ്റവും കൂടുതൽ crime rate ഉള്ള statukalil ഒന്നാണ് കേരളം.. പക്ഷെ കേരളം ഇന്ത്യയിലെ മോശം state ആണെന്ന് പറയാൻ പറ്റുവോ??

പിന്നെ us 57 ആം സ്ഥാനത് ആണ് crime rate. Strict countries ആയ north korea, malayalsia എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിൽ പോലും crime rate us നേക്കാൾ കൂടുതൽ ആണ്..

ചേട്ടായി എനിക്ക് വളരെ ആഗ്രഹം ഉണ്ട്... പോലീസിൽ ചേരാൻ..മറ്റുള്ളവരെ സഹായിക്കാനും പക്ഷെ..പത്താം ക്ലാസും ഗുസ്തി ആണ്... 8വർഷം ദുബായ് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.. അത് കൊണ്ടു തന്നെ എങ്ങനെ ആകണം ഒരു ഓഫീസർ എന്നുള്ളത്... @@afsalmohammed5565 ഇവിടത്തെ പോലീസ് ആകാശത്തു നിന്നും ഇറക്കുമതി ചെയ്യുന്നതല്ലല്ലോ. ഇവിടത്തെ സാധാ പൌരന്‍മാര്‍ തന്നെയല്ലേ. അതുകൊണ്ട് ആ സ്വഭാവമേ ഇവിടത്തെ പോലീസിനും ഉണ്ടാകൂ. അത് നന്നാവണമെങ്കില്‍ നമ്മുടെ സമൂഹം മാറിക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കണം. അത് കൊണ്ടാണ് ഓരോ കാലം കഴിയുമ്പോഴും പോലീസിന് അതതു കാലത്തെ സ്വഭാവം ഉണ്ടാകുന്നത്.
