If she's lying to "protect his feelings", then she's conscoously making the decision to do something she KNOWS would hurt his feelings, then try to cover it up. This dude shouldn't be putting up with this sort of nonsense. She's acting single. If she wants to be single, let her be single.

It's certainly incredible timing that she "decided" to distance herself from the "friend" the very day op left the house. And say what she wants, if she admits she wouldn't accept such behavior from you and know it's not acceptable but still continues doing it, I'd reconsider the relationship in this basis alone. Add to that the very shady the friend and his wife "coincidentally" moved away. But I guess some people don't wake up

Don't check any of that, that's setting yourself up to be labeled "emotionally abusive" or some such sh!t. Just leave. No explanations, those are "emotional abuse" too.

These guys🤦♂️ I'll stay no matter what!! Which means she can mistreat me, disrespect me, do and act however and there won't be any consequences. They don't apparently realize marriage is a 2 way street and u can't force an adult to do anything. But these guys allow women to crap on their vows and stay anyway until their mental, emotional and physical health is utterly compromised. Also, never consider that the kids pick up on all the distrust, tension, stress, friction, coldness, seeing dad be a doormat, wife disrespecting him and he does nothing. Studies show the horrendous effects it can have on kids when the marriage is constantly cold and/or toxic.
