I am very bipolar, take 6 pills a day. She was not having an episode when baking the brownies and at the party, so I don't think we can put this on her BP. The bipolar would cause the anger when confronted, then the sobbing when op didn't budge, and then amorous right after, mood swings! Also, trying to distract, like any amount of bedroom fun could make up for this. No Sherlock here but I think (and there are many reddits like this of people deliberately giving someone a known allergen because they think not a big deal!) she stupidly was trying to prove you're not "THAT ALLERGIC!" Sorry, op. To move on, get rid of things that remind, no contact, and avoid the mutual friend group for awhile.

@@karishma_k just like practically every kid is on the spectrum, so bad behavior excused. And if the BPD was reason? Still not an excuse. I can appreciate mental disorders but I never get a pass when I don't act right "due to my BPD."

It would basically require psychosis for her BPD to explain how she forgot that her boyfriend is extremely allergic to walnuts, she purchased and cooked with walnuts, and that there were walnuts in the brownies OP was about to eat in the span of 2-3 hours.

@@JackieSkellingtonExactly. Even if it could be blamed on BPD (which I agree with the above comment that it wasn’t) that’d be the end of it because of how easily that could’ve been disastrous. Let’s say he stayed, they married and have a kid with allergies, would it be a repeat but to tragic endings?

Even if she didnt have the intent to murder you, it wouldnt hurt to cut someone out of your life that had so little regard for your health and well being.

I know having BPD sucks, but I don't think I could ever be with someone who has it. Too much drama and I'm stress sensitive. At least I don't have any serious allergies, so I got that going for me

She would have had to not remembered he was deathly allergic when she read the recipe. Forgotten at the store when she was looking for walnuts. Forgot again when she put them in the basket. Oops, forgot again when paying. Forgot when unpacking. Forgot when she read the recipe again. Forgot when she took them out to use them. Forgot when she put them in. Forgot two more times when he asked. Forgot again after he started having symptoms. That’s quite a bit of forgetfulness. I imagine he say/did something that she took as a serious slight that he’s probably not even aware of and this was her attempt to “punish” him. No other explanation really makes sense.

bpd huh? bipolor or borderline? Cause If its borderline, she likely shifted gears so hard because of suddenly sensing the direction things were going. (not to say op did wrong here, op still did the right thing, but borderline people can get.. Really weird when they think your gonna break things off, regardless of how guilty she may or may not be.)
