I don't know about this case, but as a brazilian living in Europe, I see many people here in same conditions and normally this is nothing to do with money but with cigarettes and lack of properly hygiene (it can be by depression, another conditions or just because it). In Brazil this situation it is not too comum, even among poor people, because a "better" teeth hygiene. What I realize it is: Here in Europe dentists say to brush teeth twice a day as enough and in Brazil they teach us to brush our teeth after every meal and to use dental floss once or twice a day, since we are children. So here I have heard too many times that this "excess of hygiene" could damage my teeth, but my experience shows that most of my brazilian friends have white teeth with no signal of tartar or even any bad breath and most of my european friends have yellow teeth with some or too much tartar and an horrible breath smell. Also the older people's teeth look healthier in Brazil... so I prefer keep this "excess". I also understand the dentist in Europe and USA costs much more, but this is one more reason to care very good of our teeth. Because if you care very well you will no longer have the need to spend lots of money with dentist, spending only the basic

I love watching your videos, and i know your patients appreciate your helping them out. ❤ Questions for you.... For these extreme deep cleanings. I bet they are eating soup and liquids for some time after this. It’s like the tarter acted like a protective coating for their teeth. I expected to see rotting, black teeth under all that but surprisingly their teeth look pretty good. It takes a very long time for that amount of tarter to build up. I’d venture to say these patients have never had their teeth cleaned and they rarely brush their teeth. Obviously flossing was never done. I assume their breath was pretty foul with this much buildup up. God bless you for doing this service. If you tire of this job you could be one of those men that uses a jackhammer to break up concrete!!

In the videos that I have watched on this channel, including this one, I've noted no dentalwork and occasional decay, in addition to the heavy tartar buildup. I suspect that these people have never been to a dentist previously. It makes me sad to see the damage to the gum tissue that has resulted from years of contact with tartar. I believe that the damage shown in these videos is irreversible (but I could be wrong, as I am not a dentist).
