These arguments for and against are tiring. I love love love Jerry. There is no substitute. I love love love Trey. He is one of a kind. They are both guitar gods who could inspire tectonic shifts in the earth's crust. I've seen both bands more times than I can count and love both equally, but in different ways. It's like poo pooing Thai food because you love Japanese. Jerry would have appreciated Trey's playing had he ever went to a show. No one, ever, is going to play a GD song better than Jerry. Internal conflict with a "higher power", but also clever and subtle with relevant wisdom for the world. "I was born to be a bachelor", which is soon followed with the line about trying to catch her, which is likely atheism, accepting that there is no god, and the struggle for spirituality as an atheist Also, a lot of this is about self-identify and the struggle in finding it in a positive way

You're a great person, LL.
Always a go to jam - Happy Friday LL!
Love this as a GD/PHISH fan! I haven't watched it in a long time. I like it more now than I did before. Stop whining, critics and experts. By the way, Phish is still killing it in 2023. That's for the Phish nerds who crow about not being a Phan since '97 or some shit like that. Grow up!
Ty for uploading
Trey does this song very well!
Trey did a great job stepping up to jerrys spot. Watch the new yorker festival interview with trey and he talks about how he perceived his role in the dead, and how the other members did, actually very interesting

Chris Wilson haha yeah man. Like when Bruce cut Trey off in the beginning of fire. I was like noooooooo wtf!?!?!?!
Is this sound from a camera?! Damn - really good
Great riff Jer wrote. Trey paid a nice tribute.
Trey should teach the boys Fluff Head. That would be sick! haha..
Today I think Jerry is Althea. But I been listening for decades so it's bound to change I hope. The only thing I want out of life is to never know for sure what the writers meant.

Internal conflict with a "higher power", but also clever and subtle with relevant wisdom for the world. "I was born to be a bachelor", which is soon followed with the line about trying to catch her, which is likely atheism, accepting that there is no god, and the struggle for spirituality as an atheist Also, a lot of this is about self-identify and the struggle in finding it in a positive way
I like that accentuated stop by Bruce.
trey looks like he got his first taste of "too many notes" when he was about to sing during the piano solo, he gets this look like "ohhh thats what mike meant."

Actually that was with Neil Young at Farm Aid, who I'll go on record saying is kind of a dick but I still like his songs
I think Trey knew he was playing for his life on this tour..
Check out the piece of equipment displaying the chord names on the right side of the screen. I think it's a tuner they left on or something :P Cool stuff

Yep. Rack mount tuners are always on when the rack is on.
Man, I'm sure glad those people decided to put up that banner at exactly that moment.
Excellent. Beautiful song. Great lyrics. Is it a happy tune or sad. Really don't know don't care.
Great video... can I ask what camera you used? I am getting a new one this week.........
thank you so much for this!!!! -Avi and Raya Laila tov!!!
Where did this footage come from? I noticed the camera never leaves Trey other than one zoom out. The mix on the audio is fantastic, but I don't believe this video is from the original stream -- am I correct?

Fukkin love it!!!!❤
Awesome. DO you have Music Never Stopped? Trey was fire on that
Jerry would be proud! This thing smokes!!!
Trey! NFA! ❤️
AWWW yeah baby heard that count in
Wow!
Legends die; their Legacies survive. Get 'em, Boys.
Gotta Luvitt...
Look at Trey hitting the notes all perfect cause the pressure
all good!!
Do you why the camera shakes a little bit? Because the whole fucking place was shaking. What a life changing experience 7/5 was!!! #cheerslazyl55a
Great stuff! Trey's Languedoc just doesn't have the tone Jerry had (that thick, scary tone he cultivated over years and years) - Trey sounds a little "thin" tone-wise, but man is he an awesome player! I'm glad to see he sang Jerry, too. pretty great...thanks for posting!

He's using his oldest Languedoc, the 1987 one here. IMO he should've used Koa 1 (1996), which his a lot beefier

a little bit of reverb and delay wouldn’t have gone amiss too
Trey is a member of the "Stud of the Month" club.
This spacesuits getting hot-
how about shots of the others?
A+
Lazy Lightning hands down the best. Used to be MK Devo and LL, now just LL.
At least you got to see him.
Love Trey.
It's amazing that Trey was able to emulate Jerry's tone so well. Shout out to all the techs from years past who helped him out. I have a pretty good idea that Trey exhausted every resource he could in doing homework for this run of shows. I think Jerry would've dug this.
I CLOSED MY EYES AND THEN ALL WAS NICEEE
Trey was the right choice was at all 3 Chicago shows he killed it

Smokin'
Trey Trey Binks.
I love them both, a lot, it's all affected my life. I play music, bars bands. Trey and Jerry, God Bless Them, are apples and oranges.
Good take, but where is the REST of the band
I framed an unused ticket from the Deads final show. I have it next to my ticket from the Dalai Lhama.

it seems like he may have had it on a tripod and just happened to have it aimed at trey. that way he could enjoy the music and film.
Love the Dead and Trey is a great stand in for Jerry. Miss Jerry!
No sub but other greats that can play is awesome, can understand vocals and that's cool. Your are right ONLY ONE JERRY
Why not just have Phil and Bob sing all of the songs?
Good videos but there are others in the band.
