I am glad to see Poe back. He was easily one of the most relatable characters of the show. He was regularly looked down on, by everyone, but seemed to understand being human, better than most of the characters, by the end.

@@SameerKhan-ht4mx Thank you for acknowledging it! It's way too underrated! Idk why everyone are falling for stranger things, I mean the first season was amazing but then the evil elements became kind of cliche and repetitive, I mean I dont even feel slightly afraid of the season villains of ST

Fun fact: When you label a video as a recap, chances are people know the terminology, otherwise they wouldn't be watching this video. Most of the major events of the season weren't even mentioned.

@Maōkami 30, not 300. There is a moment where he misses Ortega and tells himself "well kovacs, you're missing a 60-year old sleeve now" or something. But, the reasoning is correct. Book 2, 30 years after. Book 3, 10 years after book 2.

This is amazing I've watched the whole season one like 5 times now...hope season 2 is like this

I cant wait to see season 2 I recommend this show all the time. A always hoped Ortega would get another chance with Kovacs then I read the books and my Hope's were dashed. I hope Mackie does well with the character but Joel will probably always be my favorite Kovacs no matter how many times they change actors.

I just hope that Takeshi will get his original body back...

I just got through watching it over the last 2 days and I enjoyed it. Looking forward to season 2

One of the best shows on Netflix.

F-ing loved season one. So much action visually and cool deep sci-fi underneath.

I enjoyed season 1, so I'm looking forward to binging the next season. I'm also glad to see Anthony Mackie getting a shot as the lead here; Kinnamon was, though a bit stilted, fine, so given Mackie's past performances, it should be an improvement.

just don't expect anything like season 1 to be in season 2, unless they incorporate stuff from book 3. Season 1 (and the book it was based on) was very neo noir. If season 2 is anything like book 2, there's almost none of that. It's mostly military drama.

@@Laros82 It does. which I am EXCEEDINGLY grateful for. I liked book 2, but it translates better into a movie than a season of a tv show. And it didn't really move the story forward at all, it was basically the same impetus the character got over the last 15 minutes of season 1, translated over the course of an entire book. AND book 3 was much more in-line with what book 1 was. The audiobook for book 3 was terrible quality, but the book itself was much much better. I wasn't really looking forward to season 2 when I thought it was going to be based on broken angels (book 2). Now I'm genuinely excited.

The only downside I see is that this way they run out of the Original Source Material faster! And usually that is a bad thing in my Experience (Kenshin Anime Season 3 ugh, GOT etc).... Especially since they're not working witj the original Author as much as I know... But yea at first let's enjoy Season 2 and I hope they can oull off an interesting Season 3, 4 and 5!

IIRC most of the secondary characters from season 1 don't come back in the book series. My understanding is that Season 2 is a mashup of book 2 and 3. Book 2 takes place something like 30 years after the first one so IMHO I doubt characters like Ortega, and Eliot will be there.

Hoping it sort of follows book 2 (it sounds like it should). You get to see into the Universe at large more there on in the books (actual Universe, and book’s worldbuilding too).

I miss season 2 body already. I liked Rykers body more than Takeshi's own body

Mackie's Kovacs seems a little meaner than Kinneman, not sure if that's Mackie or the writing, but definitely miss Joel, BUT I loved the twist beginning and that turned me on to Jihae!

Trailer always looked corny to me so I avoided it. Glad I didnt, it's a dope as show

I really hope they improve the soundtrack

The funniest thing is Envoys in the book universe are government-created special forces to smash rebellions, not freedom fighters themselves.

He mentioned that he was part of the Protectorate(government police) before he became an Envoy in Season 1. So the main character kept that component from the book.
