Alter Bridge - Watch Over You
Музыка
Music Video for Alter Bridge's Watch Over You. Ripped personally by me from rage here in Australia. Enjoy ABers.
Unfortunately i saved this video is in fake widescreen (4:3 with black bars) so KZread isn't displaying it as widescreen. My apologies, hopefully soon they'll add a function in where i can set the aspect ratio.
Lyrics:
Leaves are on the ground
Fall has come
Blue skies turning grey
Like my love
I tried to carry you
And make you whole
But it was never enough
I must go
[Chorus:]
Who is gonna save you
When I'm gone?
And who'll watch over you
When I'm gone?
You say you care for me
But hide it well
How can you love someone
And not yourself?
[Chorus]
And when I'm gone
Who will break your fall?
Who will you blame?
I can't go on
And let you lose it all
It's more than I can take
Who'll ease your pain?
Ease your pain
[Chorus:]
Who is gonna save you when I'm gone?
Who'll watch over you?
Who will give you strength when you're not strong.
Who'll watch over you when I've gone away?
Snow is on the ground
Winters come
You long to hear my voice
But I'm long gone

Myles... I'm going to be 56 years old and I absolutely love you and Alter Bridge! My 27 year old son, my only child, introduced me to your band in 2015. My son Sean, and I were so close. We used to sing in the car together whenever we were going somewhere when he was growing up. I was always singing. It was a big part of my life when I was young. Sean grew up with my music but somehow we always kept the same love of music even after he was all grown up. When Sean introduced me to your band, Watch Over You was one of his favorite songs. Anyway, I lost Sean in an auto accident in January 2016 and that has been so hard for me to survive! A mother should never outlive her child! A mother's heart was just not made for this kind of pain! The lyrics to this song makes me think of my amazing son that I used to go to for guidance, especially after I lost my dad and Sean was getting older. He was so wise and had such a gift of seeing the whole picture of different situations, not just the tunnel! "Who'll watch over you, when I'm gone? " goes so well with my life story now; especially with the close bond we shared and being there for each other. . He's the only one I trusted to be honest with me when I was "stuck". And oh how he believed in me and kept me strong! He said that I was his inspiration to strive and be a better person every day, but he always was. I raised him that way... To be loving, forgiving, and to help others but He was that way all along. It's his spirit! His light shined so bright! I so long to hear his voice, see his handsome face, those mesmerizing baby blues, his warm loving smile, his sense of humor... God! His sense of humor! His laugh was so contagious! He is an amazing beautiful soul, and my life, my world, my heart and my soul are so very empty and lost without him! It's like I fell into a black hole! I lost my mom 4 months after I lost Sean. It's been so hard since 2016! That very last sentence in your song hits me to the core! "You long to hear my voice But I'm long gone". It's so very true! We just never know how long we have in this life. Never mind about tomorrow not being promised, only the moment we are in is promised, the next moment might never happen, so tell all the ones you love just what they mean to you right now, and show them! Don't wait because you may never have another chance. I always told Sean what he meant to me and how much I love him. That's a chance I never missed! But it still wasn't long enough! Cherish every moment you are given with your loved ones! No matter how much time you have with them, it's never long enough! Thank you for this song! Sending much love! Elaine

@@jessicalove9161 I'm so sorry for the loss of your mom! We always need our parents no matter how old we are! It almost feels like losing my dad in 2000, then losing my son and my mom 4 months apart, has taken everything I've ever known away. It's like it strips you of your identity. My best friend and guitarist/drummer died in a car accident. He's always bust out this song whenever he had even a spare second to start playing. He'd always tell me to learn it so we can perform it together, but I'd always say "Nahh. My voice isn't as powerful, as good as this" and he'd bug me about it, same as I'd bug him about performing a Green Day song with me. I can't believe that he is gone, and I'm going to sing this at his funeral. Just for him. REST IN PEACE \m/ My dear band-member, my close friend, my true brother.. James Simmons 1996 - 2014

I can't even imagine the pain and sorrow you feel brother. Know she's in a way better place, watching over you and preparing a place for you!
This song makes me ugly cry. So many people, so many loved ones, I can't hear their voices anymore. I've nearly forgotten some of their faces. It's a pain that never really heals, you just get used to it. Time takes so much from us... They don't even need to have passed on. They could still be living, but they came into your life, made an impact, and then went their own direction. You're left wondering, "Where are you? What are you up to?" and whether they ever think of you, too. Whether a person has passed on, or simply traveled a diverging path, it's a deep hurt, one that this song captures so beautifully. The memories are bittersweet; you're thankful for the times you had together, but you know they're gone. Thank you, Alter Bridge, for this masterpiece. Though my heart is gripped with sorrow to listen to it, it will forever remain one of my favorite songs, because it helps me grieve. It helps me remember. Much Love, A Fan
To the love of my life Ted Lowell. This is a memorable day in all time. The moments and memories of Love will always live...

ONE OF MY FAVORITE SONGS OF ALL TIME !
Nowadays, Myles have for sure the best voice in Rock Music. I saw him 2 times, one with Slash and other with Alter Bridge. Two performances very distinct, but both breath taking. Alter Bridge, at this is time, should be my favorite band, and it makes me sad know that these guys are so underrated, or only known because ''watch over you'' or ''metalingus''. They are the only band that I can listen to all of their 4 albums without skipping a song, so, they are doing something right in the world of music. My wish for the future is meet this guys and tell them how much they improved my life for better. Keep rockin' Myles, Mark, Brian and Scott!

Honestly,i've been discovering most of their stuff just now,but damn, this song...it's just so beautiful and good. They really are underrated.
for years this song came to play whenever I thought of my 66 year old uncle who has one of the worst cases of Scitzophrenia and dementia that I have ever seen in my life. He has been under my grandmothers care since 1979 a few years after he graduated highschool he was married to then lover Vivian .Everything seemed great and seemed like they both had full lives ahead of them until she cheated on him and it massively triggered his Scitz. He was never the same again, since then he has been in the same house day in and day out just coping with his medical conditions. He is a fighter but I also want to pay homage to my grandmother for her unconditional love and care for so many years even when it wasn't easy and she would hide tears and blindly pray for better days. The reason why this song resonates so much is because shes now 87 and getting Alzheimers and can barely take care of the both of them . If something happens to her I pray someone steps up and can watch over him and make the rest of his days on this earth as easy as possible. a few years ago his condition got pretty bad over the summer and I watched this man that I loved all of my life and looked up to severely afraid of everything around him he was completely free of of medication for several days and I my entire perspective of life in general changed that summer . That summer I grew up.

I totally relate. My mother and I both have been diagnosed with Schizo effective. I had to turn her to a mental unit she lost her fight again. trying to kill herself because of the voice telling her to drown herself. So back to the recovery process.

Hello Jordy, how are you doing today
Who else is watching & Listening in 2020 and still feeling so fresh with this song. By far one of the best song of Alter Bridge.... The VOCAL IS LIT!
a masterpiece song. Never fails hit my emotions and my heart.. Thanks Miles.. Thanks Alter Bridge to bring this beautiful song
This was my brothers favourite band, I always loved them since he showed them to me, although I never fully appreciated the genius behind the music until recently. I've been listening to them a lot more recently than I have done in the past. He passed away on the 1st December this year and listening to this band is a really nice way of remembering him. He also introduced me to Metallica and Rage Against the Machine, I'm forever grateful!

I just discovered them, I love all there music.Barry hunt Ms.
For my father and son Steve and Dominic. Two souls in one body. We will walk together someday. Blessings
This is a song I used to absolutely love and play on the guitar. At some point, I forgot it. I forgot who sang it, and forgot the lyrics, but part of the melody stuck with me. It's been replaying in my head for years now but I never heard it played again. Today, I finally had a spark and remembered part of the lyrics. Now I am reunited with the masterpiece. It's so good!!
After all these years, the countless times I’ve listened to this jam, I didn’t think it could penetrate my soul any deeper! But, after just getting through the one year anniversary of my dad’s passing, it does. Thank you, Alter Bridge..

Alter Bridge are so special,so very special. So much soul and heart in their music.
This is how music was pure at those years
Remember first listening to this and I really liked it. I just feel even better listening to the song today and watching it 8 years on.
This song is for all the parents out there. It's exactly how they feel for all their kids. They it's hard to lose a child, but I'd imagine it's also very hard to leave one behind...

That empty hall where Myles is singing, the sound it will produce will be too loud and good।।। I feel the room was blessed to have Myles singing there😇
This song will forever have a special place in my heart. Such a powerful song. Love it
I played this for one of my kids. She has made some mistakes and this song is spot on about my feelings. I fear for her everyday, I pray she will find her way. I hear from her from time to time and I know how she’s feeling because she’ll send me this song. I love her so much!!!

These guys have the gift of tear jerking for sure man. Their lyrics, and their tendency to choose note progressions that have an epic feel come together and create the end product of a tear or 10 in my eye lol +MrRooney georgee

Hi leydas, how are you doing
This is the one song I can always come back to, especially when I feel like I need to move on. I love it and it means a lot to me. Its the kind of song that just gets embolded onto your heart like a badge. Alter bridge has gotten me through a very strange time in my life, one that is still going. But every time this song ends Im left with nothing but the silence, and it keeps me from sleeping at night. This song actually made me realize how scared I am of myself and how scared of deciding where to put myself.

Unbelievable song, has Tremendous meaning to my family, friends, and myself. 💖💖💖💪💪💪
I only discovered this song last summer during a funny time when I had just started writing songs again. The emotion of this song, that I feel even now, is hard to put into words. It's one of those rare songs that just reaches inside of you and speaks. The only way I can thank Miles and Mark for this beautiful piece of music is for me to play it live. I really want more people to know this song. ♥️
Leaves are on the ground Fall has come Blue skies turning grey Like my love I tried to carry you And make you whole But it was never enough I must go [Chorus:] Who is gonna save you When I'm gone? And who'll watch over you When I'm gone? You say you care for me But hide it well How can you love someone And not yourself? [Chorus] And when I'm gone Who will break your fall? Who will you blame? I can't go on And let you lose it all It's more than I can take Who'll ease your pain? Ease your pain [Chorus:] Who is gonna save you when I'm gone? Who'll watch over you? Who will give you strength when you're not strong. Who'll watch over you when I've gone away? Snow is on the ground Winters come You long to hear my voice But I'm long gone

Haopu Haokip Thx for lyrics. Addiction takes over the person. The addiction becomes the voice, attitudes and choices in every area of their lives. Its insidious.

Two years ago my mother died from liver cirrhoses due to hepatitis C and suffered from a sepsis. Her last words to me where :"Are you afraid of me passing away?". I answered:" In all honesty, yes, I do." Then she said to me:"Then you should leave." Back then I didn't understand why she told me that and I left in confusion and distress. Two years later, I sit at my desk listening to Myles impersonating my mother with this song and now I understand that she just wanted me not to watch her suffering from this ugly disease she had. She loved me so much that she told me to leave the hospital and focus more on my life and striving for my goals than letting me getting dragged down because of her sickness. Not to mention that I try not to burst out in tears while listening to this song and typing this comment. I'm glad that beside my beloved mother there are some beautiful human beings out there in this cruel world who watch over us even though they might not do it conciously.

So sorry for your loss, wish I could have told my mom goodbye!😭
One of the most beautiful songs ever written! Music is like a bridge leading to the end of heartache and the other side is a kingdom of solace. Sometimes it takes awhile to trust the hands reaching out on the other side to carry us to safety so we just linger upon the bridge to get away from the war behind us. I've come to believe that our loved ones, guardian angels and God are on the other side calling out to us as the music guides us closer to thier voices. I pray for anyone in this battlefield of a world suffering through the dark confinement of spiritual war and heartache. I'm lending my hand too! Dont give up! You are part of someone's life even if your alone. When you get through and find peace you can tell your story to those who need to know how you found it and neither you nor they will be alone, you'll have eachother. Until then, I'm here if you want to chat. Take care everybody.
I love this guy's excellent voice..I wonder why they are not more famous ..just beautiful
Chills run down my spine whenever i listen to this, AB is the best thing happened to me so far....
s song makes me openly weep regardless of where I am and what I am doing... It reminds me of a special guy no longer in my life.
