I have been shot at a few times most were off target but one hit me in the leg, that really hurts, I returned fire and broke the dickwad's whiskey bottle. When dad showed up he arrested the guy for hunting while intoxicated. Took over a year for the wound to completely heal. It is because of dipsticks like this character that I carry a side arm whenever I go fishing as well as my hunting rifle when out hunting. This shooter in this video is one who most definitely does not need to own a firearm. Especially if he is so careless in the way he is shooting. . . . . . . Are you meaning: Allied Force, Athlete's Foot, As Found, Air Freshener, Aunt Flo, Actum Fide, Acronym Fatigue, Always Fresh, actual finish, Air Facility, Automatic Fire, Acidified Foods, Auto Flush, Aspergillus fumigatus, ameloblastic fibroma. These are just some that I am aware of, then I looked it up and found that all told there are around 150 meanings found on the internet. So what or which one are you meaning? . . It is time to start learning how to write again instead of making up these acronyms. Oh well what do you expect from a lazy society.

This happened to me before when i was packing up my gear after a fishing trip. I was in the army and i'm constantly under extreme stress and anxiety, i don't feel safe anywhere but my home. Having bullets flying really close to me made me feel like i was under attack and i nearly killed 8 men just out hunting.

Man, that is close! Glad your alright. My brother got hit with a .22LR in the leg while working on somebody's pool. It ricochet'd off a pond surface from some distance, so it did not penetrate , but still. ..It puts your brain in a new state for a bit there.

Happened to me yesterday man i was shooting off my first rounds and someone accused me of shooting at them but i was shooting straight into the water idk though still made me feel like shit

+Scott S It was a ricochet. There for the position of the other people around do not matter. They could be eating inside and a ricochet could hit them cause the shooter do not controls the way a ricochet flies just by the fact that ricochets are not the common thing to happen. Usually the bullet completly shatters or penetrates the target or the ground itself. By the force of a bullet it has to be a very specific angle to let the bullet bounce another direction.

+Warsrecker I dont think anyone wants to hear an excuse of "well I can't control a ricochet" while they're fishing the dead man's body out of a river. Don't shoot at fucking metal targets that have a chance at ricochet. Shoot at something that will absorb the impact, not reflect it. As someone said, a sandbag would be good.

Bullets fly faster than the speed of sound. He heard the bullet zip about 4 feet away from his head, and then he heard the crack. Judging by the sound of the previous cracks, i'm guessing that the people firing the weapon were about 300 to 500 meters away. Which is WAY MORE than enough distance for that to happen. He should be thanking his lucky stars that he's alive to post this in the first place. Pretty much every single gun in the world is lethal at that distance. (especially if it domes the dude)

The only reason that you could hear it is because it was a Ricochet, had it not already hit something and deformed and /or was carrying debris, it would have been close to silent. I've had one miss my head by ducking, only because it was carrying a piece of barn with it and it was noisy and slowed down, it would have killed me, If It wasn't slow and noisy enough to make me hit the ground a split second from my head. You are very fortunate Sir.. and great reflexes!

+ALBassMaster Generally I'd agree with you, but this sounds like a ricochet. The bullet probably struck a rock or something else causing it to veer off of the path anticipated by the shooter, tumbling, and then over the fisherman's head and into the lake.

+A True Wisconsinite You can hear the bullet ricochet, it sounds like it hit a rock. It looked to me like it came from the right of the fisherman and only missed him by a few feet. I've had something similar happen to me twice, that whizzing sound of a bullet going over your head is something you never forget.

I've heard that sound before when I was fixing fence. About 5 shots went over my head, I was yelling my head off to let them know. It was my neighbor as well.

I would call this fake, but the sound of the ricochet is heard and you are very lucky dude! God was with you.

Those reflexes though! Seriously, this could become and important lesson. They definitely don't have a proper bullet stop if they're getting ricochets.

I've had this happen. I was visiting my families ranch it's about 4,000 acres and at the edge of our land lies a small rental property. that rental property had people shooting across our property and bullets were going all around me and my wife.

Been there done that. I was on a boat, I had to hit the deck , I went to hollering lol Glad you weren't hit.

that was a ricochet, and unfortunately came the fisherman's way. I hope the issue was resolved cooperatively and everyone can continue to enjoy themselves.

I'm glad you didn't get hurt and you and your neighbors were able to talk about it sensibly and still be happy. Most people these days would have freaked out. That being said they probably need a better backstop to catch the bullets just in case they ricochet. We had a guy get shot on a poker run very close to where I live from a stray ricochet where a local farmer was sighting in a rifle. Unfortunately the farmer got charged with reckless use of a firearm when everything was said and done with, even though it was clearly an accident. They were able to track it back to him because he was still shooting when the Sheriffs showed up. He didn't even know anything had happened and the local sheriff said he believed it was unintentional but when accidents happen, the person at fault needs to be held accountable for their actions.

Those sound like they're ricocheting off either the target (if they're shooting steel or something) or a rock that's by it.

Dayum - this I why I don't fish (too dangerous). I'd be curious to know what cartidge they where shooting and what the target setup was. I guess no backstop/berm and were they just plinking?

Were you able to go see where they were shooting and hopefully have a better back stop. From the sound that was a ricochet shot

I've been overseas and the sound of the bullet wasnt that close. A close round flying by you sounds more like a Pop then that wizzing sound. Former USMC 0311 x2 tours overseas

I know the feeling man. I was living back at my moms house some years back to help her as my dad needed medical assistance. Every weekend someone down a side street would shoot his guns in his back yard. It wasn't a problem till he changed what he was shooting at or where he was putting his targets. You would hear every shot wiz by and it was really scary. One day we called the police and told the cop the shooting isn't the problem, the problem is they are going towards our house. Not to long after the cop hears some wiz by as well and understands our problem. He goes over and tells the guy the officer comes back after about 30 or 40 minutes and says verbatim of the shooter " I have all the rights to shoot my guns and will continue to it's my property". I said well it's funny as we do not care that he does shoot on his property in fact we shoot sometimes as well and yes I agree everyone has all the right to do so. We just make sure that we know what is behind our targets. We're just are worried one of the strays will catch us and get severely hurt or killed. I do not find it unreasonable and IMO if that is how he really feels he needs to take a gun class on knowing what is behind his target at all times as he is a danger to everyone around him.

This happen to me at a river when I was 8 fishing with my uncle it hit a tree next to my head and tagged my cap. He yelled and they did it again, hitting a tree by us. He Then Turned around and opened up on them with his 45, never seen him so pissed. He was the sherif, still don't know if he killed someone.

Tube fishing a strip pit in Oklahoma. My brother in law and I just got out of the Army after Desert Storm. 762's started hitting the banks and we walked on water to get out of the way. I hugged the inside bank while he was on the outside getting the most of it. I will never forget that day. We never caught the guy and it's a good thing for him.

That's why we have a big dirt mound as a backstop on my cousin's property so shit like this doesn't happen. Glad nobody got hurt, but I'd be highly angry at the neighbor. What direction are they shooting at? Is the target directly between you and the shooter?

Had the same exact thing Happen to me walking by a small lake near my home one day when i was a kid. The bullet was a ricochet from people shooting a good distance away. I heard it buzzing and then a big splash in the water. Definitely not fun.

wow that's actually pretty amazing. If you pause the video at 1:10 - 1:11 you can see him start to react from the shot before it actually hits the water. He starts ducking before the bullet impacts the water, pretty good reactions lol.
