I've used that .22lr rat shot quite a bit for rodent control and it tends to drop most small critters in there tracks as it only takes one tiny pellet to make it a head shot. One of the more interesting side effects of rat shot is it will leave an outline of shot of the critter that it was used on. It made a perfect outline of a fat rat in an old cabin we would visit tail and all. I came back years later and someone had connected the dots and so fatso the rat has been immortalized with some cowboy art at coyote cabin. 🤠👍😁

Yep I have used them as well on timber rattlers and copperhead s back in the day. They took out the snake but did not damage the plastic slide it was sunning on. But they definitely did not ricochet when fired at snakes on the rocks up on the hillside out back. I have used the 45acp and 40s&w rat shot quite a bit on some BIG rats and had very impressive results inside of 20 feet or so. It spreads out quick, giving you a good spread on fast critters, but the range is very limited. Also great that you don't have to worry "too much" about collateral damage because of how quickly they lose energy. Inside of "inside the chicken coop" distance, they're perfect.

Surprisingly the cartridges weren't that dirty; I expected them to leave a lot of dirt in the action of my 1911 but didn't. I never expected to see that with a 50 BMG. I wonder how the elephant rifles would work out with shot. The services could use that load for sentry duty. Thanks for the demonstration Scott; keep on shooting those zombies!

No bullets are surgically removed stuff like shrapnel and pellets that can be pulled out with tweezers and forceps or need to be surgically removed or removed to prevent infection. Not on the battlespace but once you get back to Battalion aid station or if their CASAVACed they would go to a shock trauma platoon/field hospital for secondary and tertiary treatment to be stabilized treated for infections etc then either remain there until they can go back to their unit or go to a full hospital like in Longstool Germany and eventually get transported back to the US.

Holy crap... that was awesome! I'll freely admit that I laughed out loud at that last shot. Dang! However: The dummy was pretty close to the muzzle... I wonder if all that damage was only down to the pellets or if there was also some sort of blast-damage involved.

Absolutely loved the 50 BMG. I laughed so hard, when it blew the dummy in half, I couldn’t breathe hardly 🤣👍🏼👍🏼⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

“Alright let’s even out a shoulder shall we?” Has to be one of the scariest things a home invader could hear after being turned into a human pincushion from the first shot.

It has come to my attention that there is something called a Ratshot Warhead. I'm not sure if it's real or a joke, but it's essentially what you'd fire out of an RPG-7, just filled with ratshot. Based on today's tests, and your penchant for rare weapons. I figured you might be able to find out if it's real, and if so. Potentially get one to show us and have some fun with.
