It would be great for you to test Allulose when ingesting a high carb meal to see how much it stumps the blood sugar spike. Being that Allulose is known to help reduce blood sugar spikes when taken alongside carbs and also its GLP1 hormone stimulating properties it would be very interesting to see your test results of Allulose + a carb meal.

We just used it to make cherry jam. I noticed after I had some on a piece of toast with peanut butter, that I started feeling lightheaded and kind of dizzy. It started to make me feel nauseous. I'm not diabetic but my mom is and my dad is borderline. So I try to eat low carb and we bake with sugar substitutes. After having a little bit of this jam, I felt like my blood sugar dropped way too low. I recognized the way I felt, as it has happened before. So I started looking up side effects of allulose. An article came up that talked about how allulose may have the same effects as ozempic. So I might have to stay away from allulose. I don't need my blood sugar to get lower.

@@32dreamgirl Let me explain Insulin spikes when we eat meals especially carbs and transport the glucose to tissues for use. Allulose is almost a fake carb, we use as sweetener to trick the brain for satisfaction but body does its job. It still releases insulin thinking that food is coming but if there are no calories, insulin uses already available sugars in blood to send to tissues, this lowers blood sugar It’s like taking insulin shot on fasting It’s better to avoid all artificial sweeteners and high carb meals Cure insulin resistance

I have sorbitol intolerance. But sobitol is not only in 'sugar free' products but also in dried fruit and fruit with a stone, even apples! Very inconvenient

Be very careful with allulose. In small quantities, it is safe, but it might be risky when used as a sugar substitute in cakes, pies, cookies, etc.

Just wondering,,, Could it spike insulin? What about the "hydrocephalic phase of Innsbruck release" where your mouth thinks there's sugar on the way and sends out the insulin? I hope not, but am thinking it's possible...
