He seems to know all of his employees by name. That isn't a small company and knowing every name is huge, plus his staff seem quite relaxed as bossman shows up so that usually indicates a very good place to work 😊

Great Tour. My wife and I looked at and walked through a 310RL this past Saturday (05/22/2021) and if the good lord's willing and the creek don't rise we'll be placing and order for one in the next month or so. I've worked in both the commercial and military aircraft production environments and Alliance seems to have all their stuff in one sock. Looking forward to potentially joining the Alliance family soon...

Impressive presentation, new Valor 36V11 owner since August 21-- Could not be happier, a few issues but with the help of Rob Boyer and Michelle all were addressed. Alliance more than willing to send parts needed to repair-being handy I've been able to do every thing needed except floor vinyl repair myself. Not ONE moment of buyers remorse, pretty hefty price tag but worth every penny--Thanks Alliance, Rob & Michelle

Thanks for doing factory tours like this, Matt. Seeing is believing!! Alliance is an American family business where all employees genuinely appear to be part of their Alliance family. Company values are reflected in product quality and in the relationship with customers across the experience lifecycle. It’s as simple as the golden rule.

I really enjoyed the tour and the fact that Ryan takes the time to say hello to staff just shows how much he cares about his staff!! Ryan's interaction with his team I feel that brings loyalty and spills over to a better product. We have already watched I think all your videos on Alliance and you all did a great job!!! Wow! Quality RV's for sure!!

This is a very impressive company! They want to get it right by the customer and the number of inspections and post production inspections should give customers the sense that this company cares about the final product! I truly love their floor plans and the MP model is ingenious! If I were in the market this would be my choice hands down! Thanks to Ryan for the tour and to you Matt and Will for bringing it to us! 👍 Great work!!

If you are serious about great A/C, please go to an electronic inverter type multi-zone mini-split heat pump with multiple flush mount air handlers. These are surprisingly inexpensive, they far more efficient with SEER's up to about 25, they handle cooling AND HEATING without propane, they are far quieter, and longer lasting. They have no plastic on the roof to crack in the sun or cause leaks, or hit low hanging branches or overhangs or overpasses :-) or rob fuel economy while towing. Your big 5th wheel RV's have plenty of room underneath the floor to place and duct the "outdoor" unit. AND, there is no startup surge so you can use a smaller generator and/or inverter, and less strain on the whole power system. Its all a better experience for the customer, for the neighbors, and better for the planet. Please consider this! Also, upgrade your fiberglass insulation to foam. Foam has twice the R value which also contributes to lower AC operating costs and less pollution overall. These big RV's sit in the sun and suck electricity. Again, please take these two steps toward lowering operating costs and improving sustainability of these huge RV's. Alliance, you want to stand out and move the industry forward. This will do it.

Great video, I love to see "how it's made" for RVs, sorry I'm late to see this one. I've had friends through the years overload their camper, and/or overload their tow vehicle and it's always a disaster. One of the things I wish manufacturers could invent, is a digital scale built into the camper, where an owner can check the weight of their rig before hitting the road. I always suggest that friends load up their campers to their "expected" weight, then go have it weighed, to see how close they are to the original manufacturer's limits. I would never carry more than 10 gallons of fresh water down the road, and always dump my black/grey water before traveling. Any extra water in the rig, just takes MPGs off your tow vehicle. Yay, marine grade decking. I sure wish a lot of other camper companies used anything BUT chip fiber board. 20 years later, chip fiber board floors often are mushy and need to be replaced. Yay, he said, "eliminate carpet", I'm 100% down for that. If I want carpet, I can add it later. Awesome to see the various step through of the campers being built. Loved looking down into the tops of the campers that haven't gotten their tops on yet. Very cool to watch them move the campers sideways, by hand. I really enjoyed the tour, thanks Matt and Will (keep your fingers out of the goo).

Biggest concern I would have for the entire segment as a product is as a fire hazard. Seems very intuitive as a production system but if you're big into Factory Design as say Tesla is absolutely you can go full on Henry Ford if you like.

My guess is that they clean up each day at the end . They are working! I've never seen any construction site of any kind that doesn't have crap laying around during the work. Then it's cleaned at the end of the day. You're seeing pieces of siding, walls , cabinets etc that hit the floor as they are made and cuts are made. If they stopped to pick up every piece while working they'd never finish one. The owner doesn't strike me as the kind of man who would have a nasty factory and to me the floor looks fine. Also his employees seem to have a lot of pride also . To each his own opinion though 🌝

You know I have bounced around from wanting a TT, 5th Wheel, Class A and Class C. This makes me want to reconsider a 5th Wheel. My only issue is Fifth Wheels are typically reasonably priced however, it's the tow vehicles that are way over priced. I'm sure with the length of these Alliance Fifth Wheels the average GVWR puts them into F350 - F450 and Dually range. Overall, I think what I saw shows attention to excellence. I also loved how you have the Core Values on the wall.

We're on our third camper. Tent camped since I was a kid. After getting married my wife and I went from a pop up to a toy hauler TT and now have a 42 ft heartland fifth wheel toy hauler. We really like our fuel 362 heartland but we recently discovered the alliance 42V13 and it checks off 98%of the boxes. We're hoping to pay ours off in 2 years and upgrade to the alliance. Love the factory and keep up the good work. Only thing on the 42V13 we would change is the loft. We would like to see it accessed from the garage not the kitchen. Otherwise it's our perfect camper.

Sweet, this video answered a big question of mine. Did they use Simpson Strong Ties (or similar) with the wood roof? YES!!!!! Now if they could just bump up their game a notch and exercise the use of spray foam insulation. I, for one, would definitely pay extra for that. I am talking about doing it right with a rig set up, not a few bottles of "Great Stuff" expanding foam in a can. Love the extra effort, which is why I bought an Alliance, as well as their customer support.

I just went to general RV in Birch run to see an alliance, which we really thought was going to end up on our very short list of fifth wheels. All of these factory tours and the owners knowing people by their name was impressive but after touring a couple of units they are less than appealing. The staples on the ceiling were covered with some sort of a large blob of silicone so the ceiling looks like it had white blotches on it everywhere. It wasn't as noticeable with the white ceilings but one ceiling was a light tan color and you could see the blotches all over the ceiling . Many of the 45° corners were not lined up properly. The fabric on the bottom of the slide was bunched up on the right side. What really steered me away was the generator door on one unit; I had a hard time opening it and thought it was locked for a second but then realized it was so misaligned it was hard to open and when I went to close it I had to push the left side towards the right side because it was so misaligned. After I finally got it closed there was no gap on the left side and a large gap on the right side. After touring three, we were not impressed. So disappointing after watching the factory tours.

Over years and various brands I’ve seen torn spring hangers, and inadequate support under tanks. Finally a company tries to improve…. Azdel isn’t likely to cure all delamination, but I’d expect it to help. Overall I really like what I’m seeing from this company. Haven’t seen them certify something for below zero. Maybe that could be a next step.

I think lots of RV companies start out this way, small factory, smaller number of employees and so forth but along the line they get caught up in adding more units, more floor plans, less hands on to get the units out the door. It would like to know what RV companies pay their employees an hourly wage rather than by the piece. Quality really seems to slip when piece work is done. Thats why RV companies are trying to focus on a better customer service department because they understand most units are flying out of the factory. Sure, you can a PDI facility and if that's the case, why do so many units get to the customer with so many problems?

Great Video, Matt. I do have a question. Why don't they use a wall or separate compartment for the water works panel? Otherwise I was very impressed with how they build the fifth wheels.

Just found out about this RV brand today going to be checking them out. One problem I see with RVs is that we pay a lot of money for them and they're built like crap. There is terrible quality control and the some of the people that work in these facilities take way too many shortcuts. There's a lot of little corners that get cut and once the paneling and stuff is put up those shortcuts aren't seen. But at times can be an issue later down the road. Like one guy already commented sealing the trailer up good enough that rodents can't get in there would be a big plus, also sealing them some up tight would make for a better insulated RV. So far I haven't seen in any videos but would like to know what the r value of insulation is in the floors ceilings and walls. And I would also like to recommend some good design Bunkhouse models. Very few fifth wheels have Bunkhouse models and I see that as being a problem cuz that's what I'm I'm looking for.

Seam like they can make the TV and pop up hide away so you can have more counter space and hide the tv when not using it
