They only made one episode of 1989 Pryde Of The X-men. Marvel went bankrupt so they sold their animated series rights. Another episode was never made. Then came our beloved 1992 X-men. The best one.

Evolution started out so slow, basing it culturally on the late 90's era of teen angst, goth/ moodiness etc but really picked up once they got to the Apocalypse storyline. X-men 90's always my favorite. Really liked the '89 pilot (just watched for the 1st time), W&TXM was good, the japanese anime series was really good just weird to see them in anime style. 90's the best intro forever, thx for posting!

+Jake Brown I agree... due to the music & vivid scenery. Truely iconic. Even the "Last Time on X-men" parts. But watching both .. and as a show , I feel like Evolution edges the 1992 X-men slightly. But 1992 def has some of the better voice actors =)

DCUOPuppetmaster It made its first and only appearance airing on G4 primetime a couple years ago, back when the channel was near death.

When I was younger I saw X-Men ('92) and X-Men Evolution, and I will never forget their openings!! Both were great and I am rewatching.

There's no way you ever heard that x-men theme and looked away from your TV. Insane how catchy it is 30 + years later.

Wolverine & The X-Men the best ever! And of course the animated serie of 1992.

Tbh, except for the 89 year version, the others are really cool. The 93 is all time favorite of course, but evolve is really nice, the Wolverine is pretty cool too and the anime looks quite good for an anime adaptation of Marvel comic.

Arron Sorrell Also when the early 90's cartoon was aired in Japan (yes it actually did get exported over there), they made their own openings for it. In Japan there were 3 openings for the same show. That makes a total of 5 openings for it, counting in Japan and the US. I think any other countries that had it simply used the US openings, and just translated the language to their native language, and maybe changed the theme song. So yeah, if you aren't counting audio differences, just visual differences, there are 5 total openings for it.

Love this! I'd love to see the Japanese themes for '92 tv show. They were more anime than the actual anime's opening!

Wolverine and the X-Men to me sounds the most epic because of it's orchestral composition. Almost sounds like it's movie quality. It also sounds intimidating and badass.

X-Men Evolution theme is DEFINITELY my favorite!!!!

I can't get over how the X-Men: Evolution opening feels like an action movie with those dramatic slow mo hair shots omg.

I know. My first watch was 1992 as a prep. Then in elementary, the 2000. Plus the 2000, we got the best version of Jean Grey, Rogue, Storm, and Kitty Pryde.
