Yep kinda sad that X, Y and B are literally the same trick assigned to that key, I hoped we could do key combinations like Left+X, Right+X, Up+X and so on...

My headcanon is that after the mess with Faux was all said and done, BRC found his old body and had Flesh Prince slap a new cyberhead on him, this one being given a copy of Red's memories separate from Felix's. Assuming that DJ Cyber handled the memories part.

@@JetSetDman And then there's of course the implications that come with it. Red was kind of his own thing before Felix's memories entered the mix. During the plot it was focused on Red wanting to remember his old identity, but with a new head, his identity is one he can decide for himself.

That could also reintroduce Escher since his run ins with Red he was trying to connect with him since they are both cyberheads. Red moreso wanting to know who the memories are of and Escher dismissing his memories (sort of) and focusing on what he is told to do.

Wish we got all 3 Oldheads and not just Boombap. Also Escher.

I thought my game glitched at first when I picked Boombap OLD HEAD and he was completely silent. Then I quickly realized he just doesn't say anything. A few grunts from catching air time alone would have made a difference.

Oldhead is so interesting, because he doesn't vocalize when doing boost tricks like the others do. He lets his moves speak for themselves.

Bel is my fav to play with. but recently Dj Cyber.

This game does not need to go this hard with all the characters.

As far as unique models go, the ones we’re missing from the playable roster (which could easily be modded in) are: Faux Red Felix Masked Felix Unmasked DJ Cyber Damaged 8 Ball (would honestly be pretty sick) Grandma Oldhead Cyber Oldhead Berlage And, of course, the one everyone actually wants, Escher. Would be sick to see Team Reptile add any of these in future updates, but I think Escher stands the greatest chance of being added, simply due to community feedback.

I was hoping for different trick animations. Even slight differences would go a long way. Right now all characters function the same so essentially it's just the skins that make them different. Team Reptile is a small development team, Indie in fact, so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt there. It's still a great game and hopefully they can add more variety in the future. They are already listening to requests from the community and working on making changes so that's always a positive.

​​@@jreelI just started playing and after swapping between characters and things to ride I noticed there was no difference in gameplay style which sucked because in JSRF that was a huge deal. I do agree about eventually getting that "best character" point; it would be disappointing to use just the best character, but we're gonna end up using one character the most anyway. I am already using Bel and Red, of course, with a preference for the rollerblades the most. Like, I always used Jazz in JSRF and sometimes Garam, Cube, and Clutch. I wish it was even the smallest thing at least like you said. Edit: I did notice that certain rides are for certain things like skateboard --> hydrant spins, rollerblades --> breaking floors, and bmx --> opening garages

Stat differences would not be ideal for this game, I agree. Especially with the layout of the maps, all characters need to be able to have the same stats to access certain parts of each map or to combo efficiently.

@@jreel Yeah, like in JSRF Combo's only real purpose was literally in his name: combo and point battles. I think trying to play him in some of the areas in BRCF would be a deadend because he wouldn't be able to make some of the jumps, ha ha

I know Solace has a different animation for preparing to dance, tho idk about other characters, but I can assure you, its not just a model swap. Edit: every character has unique dance idle animation, I just didnt paid attentiom to that, during my play session.

Random petition for an "roots from the past" side quest/dlc thing where we get this whole lore thing abt past generations and the old graffiti and a the jet set radio clothes for the crew

haven't really felt the difference between all characters aside from those style class environmental interactions (bmx unlocks garage, skateboards can spin hydrants and rollerskates can break glass floors)

There's zero difference between characters which is my biggest criticism of the game. All characters perform the same combos, same moves all in the same way.

Favorites gotta be 1.Futurism 2.Felix 3.coil 4.bel

Minor thing, but what i would have loved to see is making your own character. I know we got mods to fill that gap but how cool would it have been to mix and match threads over your crewmates over the course of the game?

Im only missing old head man. Cause of that brink terminal glitched location. Wouldve been nice playing as those 4 exculsive old heads, like greenie, and the 3 ya see at competition. But from ya quick lil play sessio. His outfit says 0/0 so idrk

Technically Red is Faux (body) and Felix (head/mind) combined. Since Felix is resurrected, it only makes since to resurrect Faux in his original state.

Yeah despite being a stereotypical villian, i still like him and hope he gets a dlc story where he is explored and has a redemption arc. Logical one of course where he isn't entirely forgiven but is still seen trying to be a better person. Eitherway its team reptile game and should respect that if they still keep faux as a villian.

They're actually selling a DLC character pack featuring "Base" and "Jay", two characters who are heavily, *_HEAVILY_* implied to be Switch and Jet from lethal league (hell, they even use the same voice lines as their lethal league counterparts)

theres a heaven spot in Brink Terminal and when I tag it then leave the map, it disappears and shows up as an unfinished tag. Pretty sure I’ve gotten every collectible/graffiti spot/character except the old head. It’s driving me nuts 😭 (on switch)

That spot is bugged. I tagged it twice and it's still not showing but it is registered since I unlocked the OLD HEAD. The one people might be missing is the moving truck in Versum Hill with the graffiti on the back of it. That one does not show up on the map. I found it by chance.

I don't think it is normal. You should be able to change rides and styles with any character. I've done so but I haven't tested it out for Frank as of yet.

I'm disappointed that some of the dance animations are reused. Also i find the physics engine confusing. Some parts of the clothing are floppy while others are completely rigid. It kinda ruins the feel when their clothing clips thru thie own model. Reitveld is especially guilty of this.

The clipping of the clothes is too obvious as well. For DJ Cypher and Rietveld it's a permanent clipping based on the size of their jacket sleeves. Hopefully Team Reptile addresses this once they iron out the main issues first.

To be fair Team Reptile is a small team. For the game to go this hard is pretty impressive. I imagine if Team Reptile keeps making games for a long while, they will have more of a budget to go hog wild. Maybe a second Bomb Rush Cyberfunk or something

Nah it's not, it's its own game, and it has barely any Tony hawk at all, the tricks are easy to do and there's little technicality. And yes while their character and level design is pretty much copied from JSR/JSRF and then edited, it doesn't take much else from that game
