Person who did the physics probably just needed it to meet the baseline functionality of a video game, but then someone else put the achievement in and when physics person found out their reaction was probably "you did WHAT?"

I actually got this achievement by pure accident: I was goofing around the court, roundhouse kicking objects and watching them fly all over the place. I kicked a cart full of b-balls and juggled one midair... and it went into the hoop. Now I was already aware of the achievement and meant to do it post-game, but the fact that I managed to do it then and there without thinking got me wheezing for a minute straight.

What bothers me most of all is that you can grind up the hoop's support beam and you dismount from the top in front of the hoop. Literally they specifically placed something in such a position that if your character could just pick up the ball, they could dunk it no problem and then they force us to suffer.

As someone who just spent an hour to get this achievement today, I couldn't relate to a struggle more, even if I tried to.

We must imagine kaizen happy while carring the basket ball

Sweep kick + hit it up into the bottom of the ring/ into the net. The detection zone is below the hoop for some god damned reason.

"This ball is a SCP : The ball who hates physics".

This achievement alone made me decide I shouldn't try to get all the achievements for this one

I felt like a mathematician analyzing the parabola of the Pythagorean theorem of an obtuse angle and even then I was still spending 2 hours because the ball was still doing whatever the hell it wants.

Hey btw, if you think you've done everything in the game but are looking for _one more_ little secret to do (no achievement for it), there's a suuuuper secret spot in Versum Hill, in the area with the big snakes underground. I won't spoil exactly where it is... but look for a vent near an ad screen. The area inside is really something unique. :P

I got this achievement in no time by fluke. Did a kicklflip and it went in. I was very grateful RNG was on my side.

Yeah.... I was one of those people that just swished it. Just went "hmm yeah I'll give it a shot while I'm here" and yup, first try. That said, once you get all the trick achievements, I implore you to keep going if you enjoy the game. All those achievements lowball the true potential of each stage. Especially Mataan. I don't think I'll be able to say I've conquered the game until I hit all of Mataan in a single combo.

In a weird way, it feels like the tricked achievements get gradually more tame as you progress through the stages - Hideout and Versum Hill I beat the scores while only missing a few of the potential multipliers on the map and with a healthy bit of grinding, Brink Terminal and Millenium Square I'd well overshot despite there being good sections of the map I hadn't gotten to before dropping my combo. By the time I got to the mall I'd hit 54 million before even entering the third section despite the achievement being at only 12.5 million or so. Only real exception to that rule for me was Pyramid Island but that's partially just because that map rubs my brain the wrong way

I love your editing style and down to earth voice. You sound like someone I could meet on the street wearing a shirt about something I know about, I complement it, and after an hour long conversation I walk away with your digits (pause🤨). Keep it up

Man, I bought this game after seeing this video and this was the first trophy I did. :D Your video def had a good explanation and I got it pretty quick. Going for the rest of the game now.

Going into the post boy booth nearby resests everything. Also sliding into the ball helped me get it in in a few tries.

Yo man your video had me cracking up. This achievement/Trophy legitimately seems ridiculously hard being that no kind of basketball play was intended in the least or smallest consideration. Hopefully Nintendo add these as either accolades or benchmarks or something like that as well as more powerful sytem to properly compete and have more gaming titles available. Good stuff I really liked and enjoyed your video.

I heard about the nightmares and was super worried about getting the achievement. So that night, I steeled and prepared myself for hours of painstaking nothing work, and when I finally got to the hoop I did it on my third try.

I remember going for this achievement. my famous last words were, "I'll do this real quick and get off." 3 hours later I finally get it. It didn't even go in. I got lucky and it went through the damn hoop and counted. I'm not complaining but my god I never wanna do that again.

For future watches you only have to hit the net

So what I did was, line up ball under net, space yourself so that you can do a cartwheel jump, ball will go STRAIGHT UP, as long as ball hits net, achievement will pop

I actually think I found a pretty reliable way of doing this one: Sliding (Manual while on foot). It gives a much more reliable direction to the shot than roundhouse and you can easily line the ball up again if you miss. 1. Line up the ball in the mark right in front of the Free Throw position of the court, try to make it centered with the hoop but not mandatory, just makes lining the slide easier 2. Get some distance from the ball and make sure to Slide slightly before hitting it. If you do it late it's just gonna be a dud, go back to 1 and try again. 3. If you do it right the ball will get shot in a straight line with your slide and pretty high up 4. Adjust your position and try again until you're ballin 5. Congrats you're a baller

as soon as I realised different kicks effected the ball differently I got this almost right away

Wild how this achievement will unlock for some people and the Hideout Tricked achievement unlocked at 2.2 mil in stead of 2.5million for me. I know it’s a completely different achievement. It’s just something I notice.

they could have at least put invisible walls up around the court to stop the balls from going out and having to go get it. i find sliding to be the best method because ive at least found consistent straight aim with it. mostly. at one point i thought i had the angle with the sweep kick but it decided to go straight for no reason that one time so i gave up and went to sliding.

Easiest thing to do is sweep kick while on foot, on the one directly lined up to the hoop. Did it maybe 3rd hit.

I went and got this achievement after seeing this and man, these balls just do not grasp the concept of friction.

Only took me like five minutes. Needed to hit the ball a couple times with a few low and high kicks, calculate the speed and distance, and then position the ball just right. To note, it doesn't actually need to go IN the hoop, it just needs to HIT the hoop. Outside, inside, it doesn't matter.

That cheevo popped for me on the one shot I managed that bounced off the rim. Just boink, bleep-bloop, winner winner cel-shaded chicken dinner. Not even gonna question it, just glad I don't have to deal with it any more.

My guess is they want you to be using all the balls in the court to try and land the one lucky shot.

This was the one time that ball was not life

Tip one ball is different then the rest in the map one ball actually does it so much easier since its auto connects

I made it in the bucket after an hour and the achievment didn't pop, and then I jumped off a building. I'm typing this as I fall.

There’s a secret area somewhere in a vent an it has a hoop and multiple balls in there but the best part is the room is TINY I forget if it was in this area but the easiest way to find out is search all song locations and it’ll be one of those areas hopefully it’s in the same area so more people won’t need to give up on this achievement

Took me about a half hour. I ended up hitting the pole for the backboard and kicking it up through the bottom of the net- not exactly what I expected, but I was just glad it was done

Bomb Rush Sisyphus

There are two types of people in this world: Those who liked BRC, and those who failed to get the baller achivement.

I kinda got this after 10 minutes, and it didn't even go thru the top, I just kinda hit the rim from underneath and that seemed to have counted.

it took me like 50 minutes to do this achievement, and of those 50 minutes, about 40 of them were spent lining the ball up, I got lucky with my 7th or so attempt, but even getting it in the right position is mad hard

Thank fuck I wasn't the only one having trouble with this achievement. I saw how high it was (% of players completing it) on Steam and I thought I was missing something.

I didn't get the achievement the first time I scored a ball. Turned out I forgot the 'Versum Hill' part in the achievement's description as I spent a whole hour at Franks' secret hideout in Manaan desperately whooping those round bastards. Imagine the agony. Still haven't recovered from it to try my shot at the Versum Hill hoop.

I thought it was fun trying to figure out how to get it in the basket. Took me like 1 or 2 hours and I even got a shot in without getting the achievement, but it was still pretty fun.

bro just wack it towards the net, it doesnt actually need to get in teh hoop, it just has to hit the backboard kinda center

I still can't believe I got it in after an hour of torture. It was so satisfying but also not at all lmao.

When you walk onto the court fron the stairs the hoop on the right side. The ball is placed there perfectly. If you mess up go away from the area and come back. I did it in like 2 or 3 tries
