All Those Years Ago - John Lennon & George Harrison Tribute

Музыка

The last two months of the year, the time to remember them.
I dedicate this video, as it was said before, with "all my loving" for George and John. Though my favorite has always been George, John has also a very, very special place in my heart.
I started it in October but just finished today, so it says it was made in November. Anyway, hope you like it, remember to post any comments you have about :)

I miss George with all my love. I was a young Beatles fan from the cradle and I wrote George a letter when I was 9 in 1990. I told him I was learning the ukulele and asked him about the sitar because it sounded like falling into a dream. He actually wrote back and sent me the Willburys cd. He was so kind and encouraging. I travelled to London in 1997 and wrote him again as we were leaving. I mailed the letter when we arrived at Pearson airport with my Aunts forwarding address where we were staying. A day after arriving I heard in a cab on the radio that George had been attacked by a lunatic with a knife in his garden and was fighting for his life. I was so sad for him and faced the notion of losing another of my Beatles heroes by assassin. It was almost to much. I sent a card with my best thoughts. Then we went on to Wales and Ireland and I was praying for George the whole time. Fast forward 2 months, I'm back at home and my Aunt sends a letter from someone who helped with his affairs! They said thank you for the letters and cards and that George had turned a corner soon after and will be right as rain in no time. It had a picture of George sitting up in a chair back home and giving the peace sign. It meant so much that they took the time and it really settled my frayed nerves. I hope I did for too them too, if even in the smallest way.

listen to nobody loves you when you're down and out by John Lennon, the final line "everybody loves you when you're six foot in the ground" reflects exactly what you just said. Such a beautiful song, that along with Isolation. However Harrison's songs both with the Beatles and solo take the cake for me, stuff like Rising Sun, What Is Life, Isn't it a Pity and All Things Must Pass is just genius and he was the most underrated Beatle. Even the lyrics to this one are masterful... RIP My 2 favourite Beatles

Jim, I grew up like you with the Beatles, because I slept in the same room than my elder brother who was then a teenager, and who bought each of their new records. (I was fascinated by the record sleeves of "Revolver" and of course, especially by that of "Sgt Pepper" !) John & George have always been my favorites. I was 22 when John was murdered : it's the first and only time in my life where I cried at the death of an artist...

Zohreh Sepanloo no he did see this pic a year eariler after moped wreck( Dec 26th 1965) showing Tara Browne around Liverpool , still has chipped tooth and scars upper lip and above left eye, hence the person we see today is, James Paul McCartney son of James "Jim" and Mary McCartney , brother to Michael (stage name McGear) McCartney , step son of Angie McCartney, step brother of Ruth McCartney. it was Tara Browne who was killed in a car wreck, in 1966 and it wasn't November 9th, it was Dec 26th 8 days shy of being a year, of moped wreck. a day in the life was about Tara Browne, he blew his mind out in a car, he didn't notice that the light had changed, a crowd of people stood and stared, they'd seen his face before they, but no one really knew if he was from the house of Lords. not about Paul

A great song and wonderful tribute to a friend. Growing up with Beatlemania, George was my favorite. All these years later, my appreciation for them and their astounding talent has grown much, much deeper. No one should die like John Lennon did and that horrible tragedy is magnified by the lasting and deep joy his work continues to bring to generation after generation. Both he and George are badly missed.

He had a break-in..in his home in some year...i forget 2002? or later.....and was stabbed 41!!!!!!! times in the chest! puncturing a lung and almost bleeding out......HE HAD CANCER in that place..in his lungs....and as his son Dhani said, the attack certainly helped his death arrive at such an early age..' paraphrased...his beautiful life was definitely cut short by that attack.....41 stab wounds!@ etc....and i say Paul -- as i am on the fence---is 'Faul." Millions believe and there is sooooooooo much evidence and literally 100 clues planted by the remaining Beatles../////in 1966 that he was speeding and had a car crash///.....even in FREE AS A BIRD its a little girl running thru the entire vide..and runs past A SMASHED ACCIDENT...WITH BLOODY MAN../ POLICE ETC ...why the 100 clues.....supposedly George said they were going to tell the world but after awhile, the new Paul..plastic surgery etc was so good...even better! that they kept quiet due to fear of mass suicides......

Rudy Wilson, two murdered? What the F are you talking about? George Harrison died of Cancer. Only John Lennon died by murder. Oh I know you are a "Paul nis dead" believer, which explains the lack of knowledge. Days before George died, Paul was with him. They were holding hands and reminiscing of childhood memories. This is a story that even Dhani and Olivia Harrison says happened. If Paul is Faul, how the heck would they reminisce memories of their childhood and their early days as Quarrymen, silver beetles and finally beatles? Paul is alive, your brain cells are dead. You just wanted attention don't you? Nobody loves you and pays any attention to you so you try to get the attention you crave for here in KZread.. What a sad life you have.

Tomorrow marks 14 years since George passed away and in a few days, it will be 35 years since John was stolen from us. I just watched it all the way through for the first time and it is taking everything inside of me to not start crying my eyes out. This might sound strange to some;but i can honestly say that those four boys have had a bigger and more positive influence on me than anyone in my family. That does not say that i don't miss my dad, who died in front of me in April 2013. However all three deaths have been different and had a different affect on me.

I'm shouting all about love While they treated you like a dog When you were the one who had made it so clear All those years ago. I'm talking all about how to give They don't act with much honesty But you point the way to the truth when you say All you need is love. Living with good and bad I always look up to you Now we're left cold and sad By someone the devil's best friend Someone who offended all. We're living in a bad dream They've forgotten all about mankind And you were the one they backed up to the wall All those years ago You were the one who Imagined it all All those years ago. Deep in the darkest night I send out a prayer to you Now in the world of light Where the spirit free of the lies And all else that we despised. They've forgotten all about God He's the only reason we exist Yet you were the one that they said was so weird All those years ago You said it all though not many had ears All those years ago You had control of our smiles and our tears All those years ago...

I really love this song. It is truly a beautiful song. In a way it shows what George Harrison actually felt about John Lennon. When I see these two guys together, it’s kind of sad that they’re both gone. George was my favorite. He was a kind beautiful person Truly a real cool guy. John was a little on the radical side but he was OK. I’m glad Paul and Ringo or still a lot. May John and George rest in peace and long live Paul and Ringo. I am truly a Beatle fan been a beetle fan since 1964.👍🏼👍🏼🎸😎😃🥲

Wonderful tribute to Lennon. He was the one who pushed and cajoled and, through sheer will, kept the core (himself, Harrison, and McCartney) going during the first, lean years.

this has such an upbeat vibe to it but the lyrics just hit me so hard. I never met John Lennon, never got to know him. I’m a complete stranger to him but this songs still makes me so sad. I can’t imagine the pain Paul, George and Ringo must’ve felt at John’s passing. jesus I can’t that’d be so painful.
