It took me nearly 40 years to realise that most of my favourite Beatles songs were George's. I have so much admiration for George because, at such a young age, when he could have been living a wild life in the swinging sixties, he realised that wasn't the way to go and gave it all up to meditate. And that served him well throughout his life, right up until he left his body. Bless him.

I love George and his songs have always moved me. However I must correct you on one part of your comment. George took lots of drugs during his lifetime, which is not necessarily good or bad imo. But he did struggle with cocaine abuse for a good while and he was a heavy smoker. He said it himself that smoking was the cause of the cancer that killed him. He was a great man but a man none the less. May he rest in peace.

After George spent time in India and started to deep dive into Buddhism and 'Meditation', she ended up going to Eric, feeling George wasn't giving her adequate attention, and wasn't as into the quest for enlightenment and inner peace as deep as George was. I've been both relatively rich and poor several different times in my life so far and believe it or not, I've been happier with less. Not owning a car has gotten me better health, more free time, and more community involvement, including several friends in my neighborhood who I wouldn't have met had I not been on foot. Running out of money forced me to try street performing as a musician and has made me a much better musician in the process. Not going to restaurants as much has made me a better gardener and cook and so on and so on. But the best is making other people smile, laugh or dance, doing some volunteer work, some chores and some fun exercise. Everything else after that then seems to fall into place.

@Mark Me But George rejected the Catholic faith, and was critical of the church and the Pope in his lyrics. In My Sweet Lord at the end of the song he sings: Halle, Halle, Krishna, Krishna, over and over. I wish he was singing about Jesus Christ, but I don’t think he was.

@S Fender actually Jesus is different to the Catholic Church. The church is a man made construct that is subject to hypocrisy and straying from the enlightened path. George was a follower of Yogananda and Self Realization Fellowship. I am a former Catholic and now follower of Yogananda. We see Christ as one of the highest masters or Gurus - a fully God-realized being. There are fascinating texts written about Jesus, how he studied with Indian sages and that is what influences his teaching. So in short - My Sweet Lord is about Christ! Jesus is Lord, along with all the masters. In fact we are all a piece of God 🙏🏼

@Elaine Drummond We believe that Jesus Christ founded the Catholic faith, and he spoke directly to Peter and said; you are Peter, and upon this rock I found my church. The church was founded by Jesus and there is a direct connection from Peter all the way to the present Pope Francis. I agree that we are all connected to God as we are all made in the image and likeness of God; every person, and we are commanded to love God first and ALL of the human race. The Catholic church is carried on by men and women, but it is not manmade. It is guided by the Holy Spirit. Jesus is not just a holy person, he is God, along with God the Father, and the Holy Spirit; The Trinity. And the Blessed Virgin Mary had appeared on earth several times throughout the centuries: at Fatima, also Lourdes, and Our Lady of Guadalupe and several more times as well. God bless you! I hope we will one day meet up in heaven, and hopefully see George there too!! (and John too as well as the Angels and Saints)

Beautiful Man inside and out! It’s funny because I was listening to George earlier while talking to God in my mind about this. About the subconscious mind, pondering it if you will. I’ve been having trouble with my thoughts aligning with what I feel in my heart, if that makes any sense. I was wondering exactly that- what’s beyond the mind? How do I find peace of mind in my heart and soul? Something I’ve been trying to find. Sending love and light to all 💛

This week in March 2023 is a big week energetically. Lots of great astrologists on You Tube to explain. Heather Ensworth explains it so well. She ties all of these aspects of spiritual growth and explains how to go forward. I’ve loved the Beatles always, and continue to enjoy and feel grateful for their music the older I get. It has stayed so relevant and seems to mean more and more…phenomenal!

Transcendental Consciousness achieved in Meditation is perfect peace. The mind is perfectly silent but totally aware. It is awareness experiencing it's own self.

In respect to all he learned from, its more fair to say that he was a bit ahead of his times for the west. The beliefs he embraced have flourished in Eastern cultures for thousands of years.

Probably every young woman growing up in the 60s in the West had a favourite Beatle. Mine was unequivocally George . . . couldn't say why, just that I was drawn to him. It was not the reason that I went on to meet and marry a George or that at age 30 my George and I ended up becoming devotees of an Indian Guru or that my late husband and I spent our 32 years together doing yogic practices and visiting Ashrams in India and North America. Being 'Householder' yogis became the Cornerstone of our lives. We had many profound and jaw dropping spiritual experiences during those decades, which have continued since he crossed (and continues to find ways to communicate). The most likely explanation is that even as a teenager, I subconsciously recognized that George (the Beatle) and I, we were on a similar spiritual trajectory.

Back in the late 60s I was a Beatles fan. Their music emulated the life of a great spiritual teacher, Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. Much of my life back then was a quest to be at Winterland Ball Room. But Meditation changed all of that. Meditation became that quest.

I didn't understand that we are spiritual beings Since I've been tuning into these type of beliefs that I truly believe and understand that we are spiritual beings first And it's almost like the trinity in Catholic religion, a mystery The spirit the soul and the physical The kingdom of God is within you (devine energy) is where you find yourself in total peace And in meditation you find a peaceful sense of consciousness with the universe, and in your belief of the Supreme You can't find that kind of bliss in material things 💫💫💫✨✨✨ Great videos

Difficult to find bliss in cold, pain, poverty and war as well. But if you find yourself there then that's 'just a reflection of your true self,so we can't really complain'.....Sometimes I can't get with the utterance of some gurus though I to believe a spiritual dimension probably must exist✌️

We are God the creator and this is a role we play. The same idea is found in Hinduism. We are the self, atman and we are also the creator, brahma. Like in quantum mechanics, there is only one mind. We are the whole and a part of the whole. It's like God splits consciousness into an infinite number and experiences them simultaneously.

Peace of mind and happiness It's what I have come to understand is really what is important There are those today in the public eye that will tell you that that is not the most elementary needs if a human being Western religion and eastern beliefs have some aspects in common But western religion just wants one to be in a state of suffering and guilt I have given up western religion and now feel a lot happier that I'm acquiring a different belief system Thank you for all your videos ✨✨✨
