I guess ill share my personal experience with Vitamin C. About 15 years ago I use to drink Emergen C packets every once in awhile knowing they were good for me and tasted very good. I found that if I consumed more then 4 packets a day I would get loose stools ( 4 grams vit c). Then when I started to get sick I took all 4 packets at once but did not get loose stools...I thought what the heck Ill take a few more. I ended up taking 8 packs ( 8 grams) and about an hour later had a loose stool. The amazing thing....my sore throat and tiredness was totally gone within hours! I couldnt wait to get another cold to try this on as crazy as that sounds. The next time my throat started to hurt, fever, aching joints I took 8 packets and again the next morning I was totally fine. I went on to do this many many times , the KEY is taking the vitamin C quickly when you first start to get symptoms, if I waited for a day after my symptoms started for a cold it wouldn't stop it in its tracks...it only seemed to minimize the time I had the cold slightly. I eventually learned what I did was find my bowel tolerance which has been known by many practitioners for decades. Ive told many people about this and I dont think one has ever taken the time to find their bowel tolerance and totally avoid a cold or get over other illnesses. The most common complaint i've heard is that they dont want to get diarrhea....its hard to believe but you can give someone a "gold nugget" and they wont take it because of a temporary discomfort. In reality your health is worth more then all the money in the world.

The sicker you are, the more Vitamin C you need AND are able to tolerate. Andrew Saul, Ph.D and Dr Thomas E. Levy, MD., both say that the bowel tolerance changes when you are well and when you are sick. Andrew Saul had a severe pneumonia once and took 2 gr of Vitamin C every 6 minutes. He reached his bowel tolerance at an extremely high level - 60 grams after three hours... He reversed his pneumonia in 3 hours. Highly recommend Andrew Saul's book _"Vitamin C: The Real Story"_ kzread.info/dash/bejne/qKaM0q6rdcS3gtI.html

You showed several vitamin C products on one slide including lipospheric vitamin C, and you said there is no data to support increased bioavailabilty of any of them. Well, you had better generate some data on lipo C because many of us know that for certain diseases it works FAR BETTER than ascorbic acid!!!! (Regular ascorbic acid is a good and important supplement. Lipo C is much more expensive.) Two years ago I had been taking 10-12 grams/day of ascorbic acid/sodium ascorbate for months when I came down with a severe case of shingles. Obviously the ascorbate had little effect. So I obtained liposomal C on day 5. I took about 15 grams/day for TWO DAYS. By the morning of the third day the pain and severe fatigue was GONE -- I was back to business as usual. I'm in my 70s. Most seniors who get shingles are sick for 6 weeks on average. Another point: You said plain ascorbic acid is not readily available. What did you do -- just check to see what your local health food store had on the shelves? Plain ascorbic acid is VERY EASY TO OBTAIN over the internet in various forms -- powder, tablets, capsules.

I used the lipo C product from the Vitamin C Foundation. I comes in a bottle as a thick liquid -- one teaspoon = one gram. As I recall, I took 15 grams all in one dose each day (plus the sodium ascorbate I had already been taking in divided doses). A large dose of lipo is not likely to cause a person diarrhea, unlike regular ascorbic acid or sodium ascorbate.

Pure ascorbic acid powder or crystals dissolved in water is just fine. If people wanted to worry about something, they should worry that glucose competes with ascorbic acid absorption. Which is why people on very low to no carb (keto) diets are optimizing their ascorbic acid bioavailability. However, there are other ways to absorb ascorbic acid than the active transport system. Passive systems such as the dehydro-ascorbic work well. The dehydro-ascorbic is moved into a cell and converted back to electron donating ascorbic.

ok you made sense for a quite a bite but towards the conclusive portion of the presentation there were some glaring errors and massive discrepancies that were uttered. The brain is actually bathed in the most aggressive amounts of vitamin C. In essence, that is the only way your brain neurons or neurotransmitters are able to fire at the lighting speed intervals that your body commands. So this would be highly effective for a tumor manifested in the cranial regions. Vitamin C is virtually effective anywhere in the body. Do not mitigate its efficacy.

For the institute to be in bed with pharma for funding and the like , you have to understand that they have to say such a low RDA Themselves, not too high not too low. More like starting point would be 1000mgs 4 times per day. Total of 4000mgs then at least 1500 msg will get into your cells. I personally think 2000mgs 6-8 times per day .

Raw meat contains vitamin C, although most of it is lost upon cooking. Organs contain more vitamin C, and an appreciable amount will remain after cooking. Also, herbs and other plant materials do contain vitamin C. Teas made from these products have been shown to contain vitamin C - especially pine needle tea, which has been part of traditional medicines of indigenous peoples of the northern regions for millennia.

Source: www.nobelprize.org/nobel_prizes/chemistry/laureates/1954/ Pauling wasn't introduced to vitamin C until 1966, when Dr. Irwin Stone told him about its remarkable healing properties - long after Pauling received the Nobel Prize.
