So excited! Use a storage controller from sophisticated storage with a bank of netherite barrels and diamond stack upgrades. If you put a storage bus from ae2/rs on it 0 disks and pretty much infinite storage early. With gregtech and chemicals(mekanism/greg) in mind go for ae2. Try to automate everything because you’re going to need it. Bee’s are also great for pretty much all resources and some greg stuff which you will need eventually(mystical is boring). Chunkdestoryer is beyond broken and pretty easy to get. Mob spawner apotheosis with a cave creeper real easy for loot too. Early power gas burning generator from mekanism with melons in botany pots still busted. Setting up hostile neural networks early also a very good idea with star in mind. Hope to see you try gregtech too, it’s my first time and it’s actually really enjoyable. The easy acces from all the other mods in the pack makes it actually not bad resource grind wise. Chemlab in combination with bee’s and mekanism makes everything so much easier. It’s just automating a ton of machines and its awesome! Edit: i got to like luv tier in greg within a week, without any prior knowledge. It’s not that bad as it may seem. Just having good infrastructure for everything else in the pack makes it easy.

Great mod! The boxes from Mekanism will also do spawners but they really shine when several sculk screechers surround a chest. They don't make any sound.

Last followed a playthrough of yours on Enigmatica 2: ES. Loved that series of yours and was gutted when you stopped with it. Started ATM9 a couple weeks ago, so looking forward to playing along with you again!

To fix the freeze when you sort inventory, press R+C to open some settings and change the sort option to anything other than the one that says "(creative)," any will do.

Anyone else reading this, if you have mapped a key to R (and possible C), you'll need to unmap it first. I had R set to open my toolbelt and I couldn't get R+C to work. You can also remap R+C in the Inventory Profile config tool once you open it.

Looking forward to this play through. I normally play along but ATM9 trashes my laptop. Will just sit back and watch this one 😊

Great timing. I started the pack recently and kinda ran out of ideas when I started producing antimatter. Got a max size reactor but sodium production is so slow.

Haven't played the pack, but I know most of the mods. You probably already know most of this, but might as well make sure: - Mimics always drop curios, and most modpacks let you spawn them. The Shrink mod gives you an easy way to store some mobs for later use (shrink 'em down and catch them in a glass bottle). Can't speak to this pack's blacklist, though. - Sophisticated storage might look appealing, but the upgrades are incredibly expensive. Unless you have an automated quarry, it's better to stick with storage cells/disks. (This modpack has DISK drives, so AE2 is comparable to RS.) This modpack also has occultism, which probably has the cheapest bulk storage. (As you know, early end dust comes from the endermite summon.) - The cataclysm mod has some fun bosses, but you'll be overpowered unless you use cataclysm equipment. It's balanced around vanilla. - Looking for compact machines? Use hyperboxes, instead. - Miss the trial keys? Make a gate pearl. *On the subject of gregtech:* - Unless something's changed, GregTech cables have "bounce back". You should always ensure your cables have twice the capacity they nominally need. Otherwise, extra packets will bounce back and overlap with new packets, overloading the system. - Gregtech machines void power if they run low, and some machines require more than one "amp." The easiest approach is to give each machine its own generator, and hook them up with renewable fuel. Otherwise, you have lots of micro. Depending on the config, a Gregtech machine that runs out of power will void inputs. - Make your cleanrooms large. Plan on teleporting resources/power/yourself in. Never open the door. - Aside from all the gotchas, Gregtech isn't hard if you automate everything, in parallel, with an eye for balancing throughput. You just need a lot of everything. It's much easier than IC2-C, since it's well-documented. (My experience was with Nomifactory and Interactions, which streamline things, so take it with a grain of salt.) - High tier Gregtech drills are extremely powerful... and also a bit laggy. They're a viable endgame bulk-mining solution. - You should use the cheapest recipe available for your level of technology. Gregtech makes things cheaper by multiplying recipe outputs. With microcrafting, that makes a _big_ difference.

Is the RS lag fixed? it gets super slow compared to AE2 with large systems because everything is connected to everything else

@@incription Is that a 1.20 thing? I have literally never experienced this. Keep in mind that good practices (using subnets, not slapping external storages on storage controllers [eg, drawer controllers], using interfaces instead of in/exporters, only putting speed upgrades where you need them, avoiding crafting job spam, etc.) are the same for both. AE2 just enforces these practices with channels/crafting cpu limits. Refined storage is happy to let you be inefficient. It's RFTools Storage that's super laggy for me. Especially on local coop - it can be practically unusable.

you can craft the farmland in the crafting table too. the hoe and dirt create farmland and if you add one of the mystical essences you can craft those too

I have been playing for about a couple of weeks, and the loot is insane, specially if you like to loot like I do LOL.

You can get an advanced computer from a villager/trader that you can turn into a Computer Craft Mining turtle with a diamond pickaxe and bypass the ATM requirement for an easy basic day one quarry. (need emeralds but this pack has tons of emeralds in chests everywhere).

You can automate the ATM star using the ATM bee, but you'd need 2 blocks of ATM stars first. If we're talking about the normal crafting method, it might genuinely be impossible because of the soul collection in forbidden and arcanus not being possible to autonate as far as I know and the collection of the intricate hellforged parts is definitely impossible to automate.

Im going to be honest. I’ve learned 90% of my Minecraft knowledge from you @System lol I’ve been wanting to get into Gregtech but it’s a lot. So it would be really cool if as you learned it we all learned together.

Difference between complementary reimagined & unbound is unbound displays much more realistic looking graphics/details. You can actually change specific settings in the shaderpack selection if you look in the bottom right. Unbound has more realistic looking water, clouds, textures, etc. 👍 (Didn’t really go into detail, but theres a LOT you can change in the complementary shaderpack settings. It’s something I always do when I start a modpack with complementary. I personally like unbound more.) Hope this helps people!

you could use swabs to get mob eggs like : witch, vindicator, creeper, zombie, and Drowned cus you need the nautilus shell for ignoring player in spawners too. and Mystical with the fancy Lilypad is soo fast too.

Yes Lilypads are insane, look forward do doing some near instant growth farms again if we have a fast enough harvest method in this.

@@Systemcollapse there is the pylon harvester and the activator module in routers. If you get yourself a MA hoe wil ldo 13×13 or the avakened one will do 17×17 witch is crazy.

Bro pick the pouch too they can hold 64 of non stackable items good for storing weapons Armor and gems

idk who im ttalking for BUT I REALLY WAN O SEE THE GREG PART OF THIS PACK!!!!

The reason you couldn't break the vine is from a mod that lets your attacks hit an enemy when the mobs are clipping through grass etc,. its both the best and most annoying thing in this pack. usually if you wait a little bit after a mob has died you can break the vine, grass, flower, etc. I think the mod name is "SwingThroughGrass"

Try to get some form of automation for netherstars and obsidian asap... Just a tip.

You can make the farmland inside your inventory.

hey im also playing atm9 and im trying to find dark ore for the dark gems but cant find them anywhere do u got tips?

Whats thw mod/default hotkey for quickly trashing otems in your inventory into the trash slot

Nobody actually knows the most effective way to play with gregtech, don't you worry

I'm not a mod maker... but wouldn't it be cool that if you had the crafting table in the curio slot that instead of pressing the hotkey... it would just automatically open to a 3x3 grid when you open your regular inventory instead of the 2x2?

There’s a crafting table on a stick that works very much like this. It’s in all the mods 8 and 9

I think integrated dynamics is one of the cheapest automation/logistics mod to start with.

Where is your quest book located ? I’m on all the mods an there isn’t one yet ti my knowledge . Are you playing on all the mods 8 ?

@@Systemcollapse Thank you, i figured it out, the textures were placed in mod folder so i just had to put them in the shader folder instead ! :)

Get the extract gliff I think is what it's called from ars so when u break the spawners u actually get them coz the ones from ender Io are kinda awful NGL 😂😂😂😂

@@Systemcollapse yes which is why it hurt me to see you leave behind the wings and spike. The wing is what you need for the air essence and you really only ever need like… three spikes.
