He was mad at Zeus and also Poseidon (who kept his mom in Atlantis and did not tell him, he even tried to stop Kratos from going to Atlantis) and Hades (Betrayal the mobile game saw Kratos getting suspicious about Hades trying to ruin his reputation).

In the comics Poseidon unleashed a plague that infected Kratos's daughter, Kratos participated in a tournament to win a cure all potion for his daughter, in the tournament he fought and defeated a warrior, the warrior wanted revenge against Kratos and gathered a big army and almost killed him, but Kratos made a deal with Hades. so in a way Poseidon started it all.

TBH, the Poseidon fight is the best fight scene in the entire series, possibly on of the best fights in all of gaming. It's such a wonderful spectacle, cool mechanics and visuals all around. What a great way to do a game tutorial.

Hades is possibly stronger physically but Poseidon has the edge in power through his abilities. Its not up for a debate,he is literally canonically slightly more powerful but they are still comparable to each other.Like its actually stated officially Zeus though is much stronger according to the lore

Really Wish that we actually got Kratos fighting Helios and Hermes instead of a glorified quick time event and Hermes running, I mean chasing Hermes was good but after that they could have had an awesome fight, and with Helios, they could have maybe brought back Pegasus or Kratos could have launched himself towards Helios and they could have fought on his cart, also really wish that after Kratos throws Poseidon out of the sea we got to fight him in that actual form, and after that the game gave us QTE and after defeating Poseidon, Kratos could have gotten his trident But non of this is gonna make it into the game 😂, cause it's 12 years old, but hey could have cool, who knows maybe they add these in gow3 after all these years via an update, which reminds me that Bloodborne is getting an update after so many years don't know what it is

Now that I think about it, Kratos only ever had 3 gods on his hit list Ares: for killing his wife and daughter Thanatos: For killing his brother Zeus: For being directly responsible for the other two. And for making him kill his own mother. All the other gods just got in his way for various reasons.

@@martim5800 no not really, if you play Ghost of Sparta, in the flashbacks it's clearly shown that Kratos was the fierce one and Deimos was more calm and less war loving than Kratos. I doubt he'd even gone in the same path as Kratos had Kratos been taken by Ares and Athena

One thing I find hilarious is that it wasn't entirely Ares' fault. Athena was there too, so once again, Zeus shows his favouritism by placing all the blame on Ares.

It is absolutely insane that thousands of years after these stories were made there are millions of people who enjoy them and know them. This is like in the year 5500, people living across the universe, are making their modern comedic adaptations of Harry Potter
