I've noticed that most of the Star Wars endings have no audible dialogue except the later films. But still, it's pretty cool that A New Hope - Revenge of the Sith's endings have no speaking.

@@Steve_P_B He's like 8, that's what kids do. I saw a 6 year old chasing a black guy trying to lick him because she thought he was made of chocolate. Kids are ... well... kids. They aren't creeps, they are not tiny adults, they are children and are learning about the world around them. Hell I've seen 3 year old siblings say they are going to get married because that is what you do when you like someone. Thinking a child is a creep because he says someone is pretty is actually a creepy thing to say.

It’s been 45 years since I saw this in theaters. I can tell you about a few things I remember: 1. A lot of us (myself included) looked over our shoulders to see where that massive ship was coming from. No movie before this one ever had an opening scene like that. 2. The theater broke into wild cheers when Han came back near the end. 3. We all cheered when we saw that R2D2 was ok again during the Throne Room scene. 4. We weren’t phased by the fact that Chewbacca didn’t get a medal. 5. We cheered and went nuts clapping when the movie ended. I’d never been to a movie where an audience clapped at the end. 6. We figured that Star Wars was over. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Yes, I know that Darth Vader got away. However, the Death Star was destroyed and the good guys won. We didn’t expect anything else. In 1977, movies didn’t have sequels yet. The first time we were introduced to a “sequel” was Jaws 2 in 1978. 7. We left the theater elated and ready to buy anything that had the word “Star Wars” on it. 8. It was called Star Wars for us, not A New Hope. 9. When I saw “Episode IV” on the opening crawl, I vaguely remember wondering where Episodes 1, 2, and 3 were. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Edit: I’ve been corrected by a few comments here which rightly state that the idea of “sequels” wasn’t invented by Star Wars. You guys were right. I was wrong. It just felt that way. 🤷🏼‍♀️

If you listen closely the music for the Phantom Menace is actually an upbeat version the Emperor’s theme and it’s a nice subtle hint that he’s _right there_ and that it’s far from over

Episode I has an odd closing scene, but if you listen carefully you’ll find that John Williams transformed Palpatine’s theme into a joyful children melody. That’s the phantom menace right there and no one sees it, hidden in plain sight.

Every single Prequel ends with Palpatine's victory. Episode I: He won the Duel of the Fates, Maul killed Qui-Gon who can no longer train Anakin and he's elected Chancellor. Episode II: The Clone War begins. The imagery of the Clones and the proto-Star Destroyers signifying the Stormtroopers and how the Republic steadily becomes the Empire, with the Imperial March paying Episode III: Obvious

Episode III pretty much starts with him having already won, by that point there was really no version of events in which the Jedi "win", even killing Sidious they would then be heading a coup to overthrow the government they had been swearing up and down to be defenders of AND in the face of a populace that had been poisoned by Sidious against them.

I Remember i confused if i'm watching Attack Of The Clones or The Clones Wars series? Cuz' their design and the animation quite similiar to the series.

Attack of the clones ending is in my top fours it really means a lot as it's the start of the empire and the second phase in palpatines plan for the upcoming evil and I do wish the birth of Vader was included but revenge of the siths ending is still really good

I love 1999 Phantom Menace. It was so excited to see the return of Star Wars in the theatre. The story was well told. The casting was superb. We all love Queen Amiddala 😆. It was everything a fan could ask for.

I lost my father in 2017 and one of my favorite memories is him taking me to the theater to see Phantom Menace. That was the first time I was able to see Star Wars on the big screen.

A subtle detail in this scene is the warm smile Leia gives Luke, and sort of forced looking smile she gives Han. I think at this point Leia is not the biggest fan of Han as he didn't make a good first impression on her, it was only after awhile that she grew to have feeling for him.

A new hope ending still gives me shivers, feels like it gave birth to the whole SW legend

I cried at the last one. Not because of the emotion but because it was so horrifically bad my eyes couldn't take it anymore.

In ROTS the final scene of Vader joining his new Sith master at the viewport as they oversee the construction of their new diabolical weapon. It really hammers home how far Ani has fallen and it seems an end to his suffering is nowhere in sight. But then you see Luke being given to his aunt and uncle you hear the binary sunset signifying his coming role. That of the savior of the galaxy and of his father.

People can criticize and continually dissect the series on their endless hunt for plot holes and flaws but nevertheless, there’s a reason Star Wars is a world wide phenom..

Revenge of the Sith had the most sad and tragic ending ever. It did not end the way the Jedi or anybody else in the galaxy thought it would end. Palpatine aka Darth Sidious had at the time beaten the Republic and destroyed the Jedi council and had taken all the keys and cards from the Jedi order that would help them win the clone wars against both the Sith and separatists such as Anakin, all the clone troopers of the grand Republic army and now the entire Republic senate that he converted into the Galactic empire. If the Jedi had not been so arrogant and ignorant none of this would’ve happened.

the Jedi ending with the original song and shaw is the one I'll always remember.

It's even an easter egg itself, since it's a happier and faster version of the emperor theme in the original trilogy. Hinting how everything that is happening is just Palpatine's plan, and there is nothing to be celebrating in honesty.

The Empire Strikes Back ending is so powerful. My favourite.

Attack of the clones ending was really something else! My favorite ending among all Star Wars Movies!

Return of The Jedi will always have my favourite ending. And for me in the Trilogy, Force Awakens had the best ending. Seeing Luke after 20 years was just such an epic moment.

Carrie Fischer is beautiful! I love Episode 6's ending. Episode 2's ending was bittersweet and Episode 3's ending gave me chills.

Yeah, i even like the Rise of Skywalker ending, because it really feels like there is a new Skywalker that will continue the legacy that the other ones have made. Why? Well, because Rey even though she's not an actual Skywalker, she decided to adopt the name because of the people who helped her become a Jedi and learn valuable lessons for her life as a force user, which were of course the actual Skywalkers. If you have that thought cross over your mind, then the ending of the movie becomes 10x better. Besides, think about it, if Rey adopted the Palpatine name, then we would get even more questions than answers.

This was the first movie I ever saw in the cinema, I was only a young child. Even though it wasn't the first movie I ever seen, it was the first movie that ever captured me like it did. And after a nice 2-hour Journey this was the perfect ending. It just felt so Majestic, like something big had been accomplished. And something big had been accomplished not only in the film but to the world as well

Return of the jedi is my favorite ending...but can we talk about how good the ending of the Empire Strikes Back is!??!!! It captures so much emotion, grief but hope and love, they went through so much but they're going to make it through all of it. It's amazing Edit: though purely on nostalgia and love, Revenge of The Sith's ending is just below return of the jedi. Seeing Obi-Wan bring his final hope to the Lars homestead, seeing the immediate maternal and paternal love from Beru and Owen, it's beautiful.

Luke's look at the end of ANH is so underrated. I remember modeling my character in Star Wars Galaxies off it- yellow jacket, black shirt, brown pants, black riding boots. Plus - would've killed for that "I'm Han Solo" song to show up at the end of Solo.

Episode I - Hands down best chapter across all 1-6 episodes for me.

So what happened to Force Awakens? looked like it was gonna be there for a split second after episode III but then went to rogue one

Carrie Fisher has such a beautiful smile as Leia

Empire. That music is immense. And I preferred the original RotJ ending music. Oh, and RotS was amazing, too. And Rogue One? Mind-blowing.

I love how the rise of skywalker ending was just copying return of the jedi’s ending with the force ghosts, and revenge of the sith’s with owen and beru looking out at the twin suns. Very creative. 🙄

Almost like the other trilogies have Tatooine and as tradition it would be fitting to end the saga on Tatooine

It's insane R2 and C3 have seen it all in their lives. They have seen the worse and greatest moments in the Galaxy and survived most of the wars.

Ep1 and ep2 is my favorite, I love couple of anakin and padme ❤️❤️ feel sad for ep3

My favorite ending will always be the Yavin 4 ceremony

My opinion on the Star Wars Endings Episode 4 - Enjoyed it, especially with all the applause at the end, it felt like it was needed for everyone there Episode 5 - it was ok, i liked how Lando and Chewbacca went off to find Han Episode 6 - i loved it, it had that sense of joy that showed that the good guys were the hero's Episodes 1-3 - felt ok, i liked Episode 2's ending the most out of the Prequels Episode 7 - it was quite amazing to see Luke again, even after all thatvhe went through in Episode 6 and later on Rouge One - it was exhilarating to see Darth Vader in potential, as well as the prelude to the events of Episode 4 Episode 8 - it showed the Resistance was still strong, even after their defeat on Crait Solo - it was nice to see how the guy who ended up saving the most influential Skywalker of them all came to being (you can gather who I'm talking about) Episode 9 - Meh, it felt underachieving, and seriously did Rey need to self identify herself as a Skywalker when she was in fact a Palpatine?! Fucking hell

She took the name of the family that "adopted" her and helped her. The message is that its not important who you born but who you grow up to be. I personally dont see a problem with that. She would have been hated as a Palpatine,just as Leia was hated and lost influence when the people found out that she was Vader's daughter(after the events of Return of the Jedi) I just dont know where to put the ep 9 ending What is she gonna do? Be a vigilante? Open an academy? What? It seems that she wants to be alone in the desert,but she bulit a new lightsaber.

@@milesr4609 I hope not. I dont see it happening. She dealt with the darkness within her, sort of, why would she fall again. I just dont see it. And besides, she is quite disliked by the SW community so it doesn't make sense for her to have a big role. (They can try and make a tv show and make her likable like they did with Ashoka,but I dont see it happening really)

Revenge of the sith, a new hope and return of the jedi and rogue one have the best ending scenes in my opinion

Star wars ended with Return of Jedi. The sequel trilogy is basically just “Somehow Palpatine returned”

They literally could have just gotten another Sith. Like oh hate is pervasive and can never be fully destroyed just like hope and goodness. Made some theme with it. But nah let's clone the villain from literally every other movie.

Episode I A New hope was good and Episode 6 The rise of Skywalker was also good, imagine if they made prequels lmao they would be garbage cause they wouldve been directed by George Lucas, the only reason Episode I A New Hope Episode II the empire strikes back and Episode III The Return of The Jedi were good was because the cast helped, but prequels would've sucked cause the actor wouldn't try to improve it and the movies would be garbage
