Shoutout to one of my fav yt channels of all time, Bandstand, for the editing style inspo and video format, I really just made it because i couldn't find one for louie.

Wow man, its so impressive how he manipulated these samples with filters, eq etc. And also how he added stuff (for example the horns on Parenthesis) which works perfectly together with the sample. Such a great album
the basses/808s on this album are so crazy they're loud and present but they don't overtake the beats either

The parentheses sample is also used on the song Big Pussy by Brockhampton Thank u sm for this ive been looking for that sample since louie came out lol

first song is also sampled by kaytranada and IDK in Codes which is a very good song
I love this album, honestly thought Kenny played some more on here than mostly drums but the sample digging, curation, play listing of the whole project is absolutely spot on. Vibes and top production

Yea definitely And wether it has a lot of sampling or not should not take away from our enjoyment. It’s a beautiful project and as you said he nailed the sampling aspect of it because that’s a whole art form in itself

If you had made a playlist with all the Louie samples in it prior to me making this video then I apologize I wasn’t aware of it :( I always look for samples on whosampled, you know

I mean, trumpets are recorded in, some guitars I think, bass too, the Jpegmafia song is also a lot of recording I think 1 or 2 songs are also sample free and pure recordings if I’m correct But either way Knowing that something was sampled shouldn’t take away from your enjoyment! It honestly even impressed me more, knowing that Kenny can flip samples LIKE THIS. You don’t know how EASILY you can mess up or NOT make the most out of a sample and Kenny rlly proved himself to be an incredible sample producer as well
