Nose injuries when you’re young often result in this because the bone is often composed of a higher cartilage content, meaning that even if it is set correctly an injury can result in it being dented. I have a barely perceptible “notch” right where the bridge of some glasses should go where I fell and slammed my face into the edge of a sandbox when I was 3. You can only tell if you feel it.

In my opinion, the BEST thing about this show is that the director made the conscious choice on multiple occasions to cut to Alligator Loki for reaction shots. This is bat-shit crazy, because to the best of my knowledge 1) Alligators don't understand English, and 2) They don't have emotional facial reactions when someone else says something. ...it's like someone asked the showrunners "How crazy can we make this?" and they responded with "Yes!"

Imagine if you had an alternate life due to different chances/choices making your life different. Instead of choosing door number 1, you chose door number 2. Instead of fish, you had chicken. Different chromosome.... different job..... different parent's hair color, every difference is a variant, a variation. Some things are different, some things are the same. It appears Silvie got taken and her timeline/reality removed for trying to be good, when playing with her action figures/dolls she experienced ideas of heroism at an early age, something which it appears they don't allow Loki's to be. Every possibility of every aspect of your life you can think of can be a new variant. Pressing the random button on your personal character creator and life experience. Basically playing a game of "what if?"

My speculation is that Sylvie's "crime against the Sacred Timeline" was something she _didn't_ do but which young Loki did. Clearly, her "Nexus event" was not merely just being female (or the TVA would have pruned her as a baby), despite only female "Loki" we ever see, which already would totally alter the dynamic with adoptive brother Thor... and she is blonde, which has let to people speculating she actually is a character called The Enchantress from the comicbooks (who is indeed blonde) who ended up in the "Loki" role in her timeline because the real baby Loki never existed, as we've seen in _Marvel's What If...? animated show can happen to people switching roles with another character. But no. Remember the story Thor told in _Thor 3: Ragnarök,_ from his and Loki's childhood? Thor said Loki wanted to play a prank so he'd used illusion magic to turn himself into a pretty snake, and when Thor picked up the snake to admire it, Loki dropped the illusion, yelled "PRANK!" and stabbed Thor with a knife! Obviously it wasn't a bad stabbing, more of a nick, as adult Thor and Loki both seemed amused by the memory and there's no mention of a punishment. They both have health regeneration, they can walk it off... But Sylvie didn't stab boy-Thor (and didn't seem to have spent time with Thor and Thor's gang of friends at all). Sylvie was on her own, playing with her Valkyrie and dragon action figures. She had different magic, too. And Sylvie said that in her timeline she never met her mother, so either she was talking about her biological parents, or Frigga (Odin's wife) was either already dead or... idk? In fact the _Loki_ show never confirms if Sylvie is half-Jotun (Frost Giant)/half-Aesir like Loki. If she is the Enchantress, she might have been just some Asgardian orphan? [Note: In the Norse Edda, Frigga wasn't even an Aesir but a Vanir sorceress who married Odin after the tribe of "gods" called the Vanir came from Vanaheim to Asgard and asked for asylum there, and then intermarried with the Aesir of Asgard. But in the Marvel comicbook and MCU characters have very little resemblance to the characters from Norse myth anyway. Heck, in Norse mythology the Norse Gods are technically also tribes of "Giants", just like the Stone Giants, Frost Giants, Fire Giants of Muspelheim, and other assorted generic Giants. But Odin and his three brothers created the first humans from trees, according to the Edda. Yeah, fit _that_ into the MCU, Marvel!]

That is Lady Sif, one of Thor's warrior friends from the first Thor Movie.

The time loop with Sif is a refernce to Norse myth. If I remember correctly, Sif used to have beautiful golden hair, and as a joke, Loki shaved her bald, this ticked Thor off demanding Loki make it right. Loki made a bargain with...dwarves? For new hair made up of the essence of blackest night, which Thor thought made Sif all the more alluring

I love that given Ashleigh has watched the MCU over such a long stretch of time, things like Asgard with it's distinct look, or Sif are just things that haven't stuck in her memory. Totally reasonable, and amusing to watch.

Sylvies Nexus event can be seen in her memory as a child. She was playing at being the "hero" with her toys. She wanted to be a hero, that was her Nexus event.

I never read comics as a kid or an adult so I was very confused when I saw all the different Lokis in the end credit scene but a friend who did told me that they were in comic books in the past.

The "ex" is actually from the Friendsgroup "the Warriors Three" around THOR, its Lady Sif who was in Thor 1 and 2.

That episode 4 cliffhanger was BRUTAL when it all first came out. You've got it pretty good, not having to wait the way we all did... I was one of the ones that watched the new episodes every week as they came out! Even seeing Loki... and the other Lokis (and yes, they are all Lokis) in the end credit scene didn't exactly help with the shock!

I like that fact that you thought Sif was an ex (though who knows?) . It's obviously been a while since you watched Thor!

Yes, this was where we find out that “pruning” doesn’t actually kill you but instead sends you to a place, a location. Where exactly I guess you find out when you watch the next episode (obviously by now will have found out).

Hey if you think alligator Loki is weird, you should hear some of the ancient Norse myths. A famous one involves Loki turning into a sexy female horse to distract a stallion, preventing a giant wall being built around Asgard. Loki was impregnated by the stallion and gave birth to a horse which Odin took as his personal mount. Other children of Loki include Fenrir (the giant wolf from Ragnorok,) and a giant serpent named Jormungandr that wraps around the world and is destined to kill Thor.

Good call on the Binge watch. This show is sooo good. Not just a great piece of the MCU, but hands down one of the best series of all media in recent memory.

31:23 I adored Classic Loki to the right played by Richard E. Grant. His outfit is pulled right out of the comics, Avengers: Earths Mightiest Hero's (2010) an amazing cartoon also used this same outfit for Loki in the series. So that's where I know this outfit from as a major fan of that animated series. Side note I highly recommend Earths Mightiest Hero's it's an amazing series that's only two seasons long. It's pretty much the closest Avengers content to the mainline comics, more so than the MCU featuring the original Avengers line-up with Antman and Wasp. It even features Avengers Mansion a setting we've yet to see in the MCU and overall is just a really great series with the best renditions of The Avengers outside of the comics. Recent Marvel shows I recommend would be X-Men 97 the best thing Marvel has released since Infinity War. I adore Loki it's my favourite MCU TV series but I think I might put X-Men 97 above it, difficult one but X-Men 97 is just really good and I can see you adoring Rogue.

A good movie to help explain multiple variants of a person is Sliding Doors about a woman who's life goes in two different possible paths depending on whether or not she made it onto a subway train on her way to work as the doors were closing. It's a rom-com with sci-fi elements, I think Ash would like it.

They would not be clones. Each gamete (sperm or egg) contains a different genetic code. That code is inherited from the parents and contains inheritance from their parents, and grandparents, great-grandparents, and so forth. But they are not identical copies of a single cell. They are randomized combinations from every ancestor, plus or minus any mutations.

I like to think that, as far as the multiverse goes, a person is like a tree. There's this ideal person, that's the trunk, outside of any timeline, and the branches, one in each timeline. Each branch is it's own thing, independent of each other. Similar but autonomous, connected by the idea of who you are. By this analogy, Loki and Silvie would be two different people that share an origin they (and we) can't perceive. Maybe it could be called a soul, why not? Anyway, Loki and Silvie's connection would be something differnt from being the same person or siblings.

I wish Loki was caught by the Time Lords! Well, one or two of them in particular.... That would be a pretty fun series!!

"Where is this now?" I really don't know why people keep watching her. -Doesn't recognize Asgard -Doesn't understand how variants work -Keeps thinking Loki and Sylvie are siblings -Didn't remember who Sif was -Pays attention to the dumbest, insignificant things instead of actual information that would help her understand better and ask less dumb questions -Talks over SO much dialogue in between The list goes on. People are literally only watching her so they can see laugh like a horse at some dumb jokes every now and then and do the dumbest faces imaginable. Edit: Here's another: -She didn't realize Ravonnah was the one who took Slyvie into the TVA, the whole REASON for their beef with each other. She literally just watches them fight and goes "hehe, lady fight."

In the comics Sylvie is known as the Enchantress, and has been both good and evil, and she is a completely separate character than Loki. Loki, at one point was reborn in Sifs body, and was called Lady Loki for awhile, which is super weird because Thor had dated Sif in the past. The actress playing Sylvie was actually pregnant during the filming of season 1
